Hello, I am looking for a solution to my problem.I am using an STM32C031 to light LEDs using SPI signals.I am using a connector to connect the STM32 mounting board to the LED mounting board. The connector connects the DC power supply and the SPI signals DATA and CLK of the STM32OUT.When this connector is plugged or unplugged in several times, a phenomenon appears in which all of the connected LEDs blink abnormally. Verification of the waveform revealed that the waveform was abnormal at the SPIOUT of the STM32. This abnormal waveform cannot be corrected without turning the power of the STM32 itself on and off.We investigated the possibility of correcting the problem programmatically and found that changing the SPI baud rate from 3 MBits/s to 1.5 MBits/s did not produce the abnormal waveform at the active wire insertion/withdrawal. However, I am not sure if this is a fundamental solution.Is it possible that this kind of SPI baud rate setting change

Hello,I am trying to find available solutions for below requirement.I am using STM32H743 MCU in a design and I want to add external SRAM of 128Mbytes to the design.I understand can do this with FMC, but the problem is available pins for the FMC are conflicting with the requirements of the other peripherals.I read the documents and found that there is a possibility of extending the RAM with Quad-SPI, but it is not clear to me when it says, "Can't be written to the memory when it is configured memory-mapped code execution mode". I am open to study available options, it would be appreciated, if anyone can suggest any options, share their experience with a similar situation. Thanks

Hello,I am trying to use the SLEEP and STANDBY modes with the RTC. I want the device to go to sleep/standby mode for 10 seconds and wake up after the 10 seconds are done. I have tried it with an interrupt using UART and Button and both the modes are working fine.But with RTC I am facing an issue.Can anyone pls help with this query of mine?Thanking you.

Hi,I have two custom boards using the same OCTOSPI HyperFlash and for some reason the memory fails to run at higher speeds with U5-board.Board 1-H7 MCU at 550 MHz-OCTOSPI at 160 MHz works fine! (max clk is 166 MHz)Board 2-H5 MCU at 160 MHz-OCTOSPI at 160 MHz fails in W/R.... (works fine up to 110 MHz)Could there be any specific reasons why the U5 cannot handle the OCTOSPI running at 160 MHz, which in this case is the same speed as the MCU clock?

Hi,I developped a new version of my first card that SWD communication didn't work. So, now i manufactured a new card (check the schematic please) can you give some feedback, to know if you see a probleme with my card that can impact swd. 

I'm using STM32F446.I'm generating PWM signals using TIM1 and TIM8 (on APB2, which runs at 90MHz, and 180MHz for the timers).I'm also generating PWM signals using TIM4 and TIM12 (on APB1, which runs at 45MHz, and 90MHz for the timers).I start each PWM independently, so their starting edges are not synchronized, but this is not the point.TIM1 and TIM8 are "in sync" in the sense that the shift between the two signals remains perfectly constant, with no drift whatsoever.TIM4 and TIM12 are also "in sync" in this sense.However, TIM1-8 and TIM4-12 are not in sync with each other; their relative phase shifts around in an unpredictable way, and quite quickly. I'm not sure whether it's just jitter (i.e. the drift averages to 0 over a long period of time) or the drift diverges.Of course I'm prescaling TIM1-8 by 2, so that the counting frequency is the same as that of TIM4-12.Even if I change the APB2 prescaler so that the two buses are at the s

Hi there,I have some question about the deferent about the source code and the lib.For example, I have three source code files(func1.c, func2.c, func3.c) and I compiler them to a lib file(func.lib);In my project, I just need use the function in func1.c, so I can use it by import the func1.c or func.lib to my project.My question is what's the different about these two ways, does the func.lib will using more Flash than func1.c?Thanks for your help! 

Hello,I'm developing an application on the NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q. I need some pins to stay high while the microcontroller is in Stop3 mode.The Datasheet suggests to use internal pull ups, because the GPIO peripheral is not active in Stop3 mode. For this reason, I have configured the GPIO as input and with internal pull-up before entering Stop3 mode.I've used the following functions:   LL_GPIO_SetPinPull(GPIOC, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, GPIO_PULLUP); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOC, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, LL_GPIO_MODE_INPUT); It works and the pin stays high. However, whenever the microcontroller go into Stop3 mode, the GPIO voltage goes to zero.Any Idea? Am I missing something?Thank you in Advance

I have a board that uses the H743 and have been having major problems with the USB side of things. I've only just realised that I left VBus floating all this time, so I'm assuming that's a major cause of my issues.. The board I have is designed as a solder on stamp, and has a fixed 5v input that powers multiple LDOs etc. The problem lies in that I don't really want to sacrifice one of my castellated edge pins for vbus sensing, but the stamp isn't always connected to USB so I cant simply connect VBUS to 3.3v, can I?  The board is always "Self Powered", ie the 5v from USB is not directly connected to the main power in. Is there any way to trigger the VBUS pin only using the data lines?

Hello, I've been using the Nucleo-F446RE to program a stm32f4 series chip using the Nucleo's onboard ST-link capabiltiies. So far I have managed to get it to link and work in CubeIDE, but in CubeProgrammer it's giving me the following issue (attached screenchot): This is strange as my hardware setup works for CubeIDE, but not CubeProgrammer? As another bit of info, I had to go to a slightly older revision of CubeProgrammer and IDE for my current project, but before switching to this older version my CubeProgrammer was able to connect to my setup with no issue and the same settings. Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated.

 Description of the system-memory-stored manufacturing-time-acquired constants for temperature sensor (TS_CALx) and VREFINT voltage (VREFIN_CAL) are given for certain VDDA voltage.However, what's important here is not VDDA voltrage but the VREF+ voltage used for taking those values.And, while it may well be that VDDA=VREF+ for the production testiong (and in some packages this is inevitable), if this is the case, this too ought to be said out explicitly with those parameters in the datasheets.This, I believe, is pertinent to *all* STM32 datasheets (except some of the value lines which don't have these constants), or most of them.JW

Heyho,got my custom board running, only (minor) problem until now:internal analog temperature sensor (ADC3) value seems to be off, showing something like ~60°C,while an external sensor shows about 30°C."Finger test" confirms rather the 30°C.I have the exactly same code running on H723 Nucleo and H735 Disco, the values I get from these make sense.ADC3 is working, I'm measuring about 7 supply voltages on the board and the internal Vref, all these values are close to perfect.The only difference:VREFP pin is connected to an external voltage reference with 3.0 V, VDDA is 3.3 V, compared to the Vref 3.3V on the ST boards.So how does this affect the temperature sensor?Even with a factor of (3.3 / 3.0) the measured temperature is still far off.Here's how temperature is calculated, input is an averaged float from ADC buffer (I checked that this value is close to a single raw ADC va

Hi guys I am a beginner of STM32 user. Now I am learning PWM. I wanted to make use of a single Timer and use 2 or 3 of its channels to output PWMs of different frequencies. I saw AN2581 app notes but unfortunately there were no sample codes there. Would you be able to share some codes or references so I can do it. Example Timer 3 then output 5k PWM on CH1 and output 10k PWM on CH3

However, with my code including BOTH I2C and SPI , Only SPI functions work correctly ,but I2Cs don't.​Using a ocsiloscope, It was found that voltage levels of I2C pins don't fluctuate at all when SPI initialization code exists. I want to receive the MessageRx_CAN [8] in my RxFifo 0 buffer but i cannot get that. Could you please help me out how can i implement that to get if want this requirment. I am trying to flash the memory of the STM32-L43KC (Nucleo-32) MCU with the UART Bootloader. I have connected the TX and RX pins of the board to FTDI USB-RS232 connecter. To boot from the system memory, I have also configured the option bytes accordingly:nBOOT0(bit) = 0, nBOOT1(bit) = 1 and nSWBOOT0(bit) = 0 But I am unable to use the Flash Loader Demonstrator and I get an error message saying Boot Loader cannot be started. FYI, the STM32-L432KC doesn't have BOOT0 or BOOT1 pins attached to the board to access unlike other STM MCUs.

The reference manual documentation for the onboard temperature sensor for STM32H745, RM0399, chapter 26.4.33 gives a formula for calculating temperature that is only valid when VREF is 3.3 volts, but lacks mention, foot note, etc of any kind that VREF is a factor. It does reference the datasheet which states that TS_CAL1 and TS_CAL2 we obtained at VDDA of 3.3 volts which helps but VDDA and VREF do not have to be equal and the significant term there is the VREF where those calibration values were recorded.I suggest updating the reference manual "Reading the temperature" formula with the formula that cube generated code has in __HAL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE() which has a term for VREF. 

I am using NUCLEO-G071RB. I use 2 ADC channels: GPIO analog and internal temperature sensor. I connect the +3.3V to the GPIO analog pin via. potentiometer. Using an STM32H5 I recently came across a problem: triggering a hard fault when accessing data in FLASH (read FLASHSIZE_BASE).It turns out in this thread that the ICACHE being validated, it is necessary to configure the MPU to make “uncacheable” the part of the flash to which we want to access. This seems to contradict the fact that ICACHE is made precisely to serve as a flash cache...This leads to a host of questions…How does the ICACHE (Instruction CACHE) intervene in access to data?It is not clear to me why read-only data should not be cacheable.If my application places data in FLASH and I need to access it, will it also be necessary to use the MPU?Is there a list of areas of the address space that need to be made “non-cacheable” to be able to access them securely?
