Hi all, I've recently begun playing around with Zephyr and made blinky for a custom board with a STM32H755.To test it, I made a complete chip erase and then I flashed the application to the M7 (i.e., its flash area). I can then attach to a debugger immediately after this (without power cycling) and step around in the code, but as soon as I do a power cycle the board is completely dead - I cannot attach my debugger to the target at all. I read in other posts that this could be caused by a bad SMPS / LDO choice.However, this seems to be chosen correctly by the zephyr soc_m7 file (choosing SMPS).I suspect that it has to do with the M4 blocking or somehow acting bad - even though no code is loaded into it, it is still booting (i.e., CM4 has its option byte (BCM4) set). So my question is: what are all the possible reasons for not being able to connect the STM32H755 with a debugger (given that it is powered up),

Hi,We have a STM32L031F6 which is used as an RTC. A weird phenomenon is occurring: when the controller goes to sleep, it only uses 2µA, but after 2 minutes and 40 seconds, it starts consuming 50 to 100µA, depending on the hardware board used. There is no external trigger at that moment, so we expect the controller to stay in sleep mode until the next external trigger. However, this consumption is also not enough for the run state of the controller, which consumes +500µA in run mode.As a test, I set up an EXTI input to output mode and toggled the pin when the chip is out of sleep mode. When the power consumption is 2µA, this output is not active. When the consumption is 50-100µA, the output is not active. When the consumption is +500µA, the output toggles as expected.What can cause this behavior? Could there be a problem with the chip itself? We only use the ADC, RTC, I2C, and TIM2 modules.

Hi I m aware FDCAN can be configured to work in class CAN 2.0 mode, could anyone advise how to configure this in the ioc? i.e. frame formate, mode , Time seg .... etc   Thx

I am having trouble configuring my TIM6 to toggle a GPIO pin every 1 usec. Hello guys! I have a problem. I need to use HAL_RTCEx_SetSynchroShift function from HAL to modify the subseconds of the RTC module. The problem is that this function cannot work because the REFCKON bit from Control Register is set(1). First, I do not have an reference clock enabled in order to be set. I said ok, then let me change it by myself, but it didn't work. I couldn't change the state of that bit. Do you have any suggestion?

Folks, I have a device that installs into another product and provides SRAM for code execution for the other device.  The device my board plugs into has a fixed 500ms RESET generator that hold off the host device CPU for that much time.  During this time, I need to pull files from SD card (4-bit wide) and load to SRAM before the host comes out of reset.  I'm clocking the SD card at 50MHz. Running on STM32H563 at 200MHz. But I am getting dangerously close on my timing.  I found that the fx_media_open in Azure FileX is taking 345ms to execute.  Are there parameters that I can adjust somewhere to get this to be much faster?I really need this media_open to take less than 100ms if possible.   

Hello,I'm using an STM32h753i-eval2 board and trying to access an SD card through the SDMMC peripheral.I have my RCC set on Master Clock Output 1.I has the SDMMC external transceiver present set to no.System clock mux is set to HSIPLL Source is HSIUsing PLL1Q as the SDMMC clock, which I've tried at 25, 50, 100, and 200Mhz (docs suggest the slowest SD cards run at 25mhz).The problem arises in the generated init code in HAL_SD_InitCard when it calls SD_PowerON:/* SEND CMD55 APP_CMD with RCA as 0 */   errorstate = SDMMC_CmdAppCommand(hsd->Instance, 0);always returns SDMMC_FLAG_CTIMEOUTI've tried increasing the timeout times with no luck. I've stepped through all the clock setup code at runtime and everything looks in order. Any insight would be very helpful and appreciated.

Hello, I am trying to use the STM32G491RE nucleo to create a DSP for live audio in the voice band range. Right now I'm just focused on trying to get data in at the ADC using timer 7 to pull data from the ADC at an 8Khz sample rate as I don't want to sample for audio above 4Khz. I'm using a double buffer technique to pull data in transferring using the DMA and just simply pass it along to the DAC. I wanted to ensure I'm not losing signal integrity before trying to perform any signal processing. Since I'm using multiple channels on the ADC, the HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() function will only pull one sample at a time for each channel. Currently I am only pulling data from one channel but eventually will scale it to 8 or more once I get it working on one channel. Once scan conversion is complete I store these samples in a buffer, no signal processing at this point, and once I have half the array filled with samples I send it to DAC for output. I'm trying to read 2 ADC channels (ch 0-1) on an STM32G030C8T6 but the only result I can get from the ADC is a 0.I've confirmed the voltages I'm trying to read are at ~1.6V and that the VREF+ pin is at ~2.7V using a multimeter so I dont believe its a hardware issue.Looking at the SFRs in debug mode just before starting a conversion, all configuration registers seem normal and exactly as they were set in the device configuration tool, the GPIO MODER registers are set to analog, and the ADC clock is enabled in RCC. There were just two things that stood out to me which may or may not mean anything. When trying to do this using interrupts, the SFRs tab of the debugger would say that EOC in the ADC_ISR register is set, but if I assigned it to a variable or made a comparison to it in code, it would be unset. I.E the expression ((ADC1->ISR & ADC_ISR_EOC) == ADC_ISR_EOC) would evaluate to false even if the debugger said the EOC bit was set.Th

I found a confusing phenomenon that I found when using STM32G431CBU6 OPAMP3 works in Timer controlled mode.At first,I let the OPAMP3 works in FOLLOWER,the TIM8 channel6 to trigger the change of  VIN_P and VIN_P_SEC. This is the settings of the STM32cubeMX. When the input is VIN_P, the output is equal to the input.But when the input is VIN_P_SEC,the output is twice the input. This is the oscilloscope waveform.The yellow is the signal input in the VIN_P and VIN_P_SEC,the blue one is the output.

Hello, I m trying to establish a CANFD communication with an FPGA and an STM32 NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q. I just want the stm32 to transmit data to the FPGA. My colleague did the code for the STM32 and for standard CAN, everything works. I can receive the data and my CRC calculation is the same as the one that i had sent to me.    For the CANFD, the trame is all good until the CRC. He just sends me 1 byte data and the CRC that i can observe is to big for an FDCAN (supposed to be 17 and 21 for more than 16 bytes).  Here is the frame that he sent me: ID : 00000010001 RTR : 0 IDE : 0 CONTROL: 10000001 DATA : 01001000 All the frame : 00000010001001000000101001000 Here is an image of what i can observe :

Hello,We have been trying to use the STM32H747I-DISCO to act as a SPI slave which should respond to a command byte, behaving similarly to how a sensor or EEPROM might.That is, the fist byte sent from the master will be a command and our slave device should respond to this command. Hello, I am writing FDCAN driver filtering function for the open source ChibiOS RTOS, both for FdCanV2(H7) and FdCanV1(G4) For the H7 side, all went easy, and the driver works as intended. On the G4 side,  FdCanV1 is a bit simpler (the ram buffer is not shared between interfaces, and  sections size are fixed) so it should be even easier, but that's not the case and I am unable to filter. What I do to enable filtering is : ° enable configuration change :  setting FDCAN_CCCR_CCE | FDCAN_CCCR_INIT in CCCR register ° setting fields in RXGFC register : reject non filtered frame, and setting number of filters ° setting filters in the ram buffer at the SRAMCAN_FLESA position, in my case for FDCAN1 interface, it is 0x4000a5c0 for extended filters ° removing FDCAN_CCCR_INIT in CCCR register ° using debugger, I tested that RXGFC has the expected value, and that ram buffer contains

After I upload a code by running it in debug mode, as soon as I run the debug session it shows target not responding and failed to read registers. And when I try to debug it again in OpenOCD mode it shows :-Info : Target voltage: 0.030948Error: target voltage may be too low for reliable debuggingI have tried with 3 other Boards and the same exact thing happens. If I try to ulpoad another code onto a new board, it works fine. So, could this be an issue of my code?The ST-Link works just fine as it uploads other codes with other boards.Please find the attached document containing the code I am was trying to upload, that seems to be causing problems with my boards.

I am using STM32H5 nucleo board and it is connected with MIC which gives PDM output based on analog input. I am reading the mic data using I2S protocol. To verify the received I2S PDM data, I am giving this data directly to DAC to get original signal in DAC analog output pin. Is it fine? or PDM to PCM conversion is mandatory before giving this data to DAC?

I have ported my application from Keil to CubeIDE and now the bootloader (not ported and still a Keil project) is not jumping to application.The bootloader is working fine when the application is a Keil project (for many years).The starting point for the porting has been that the Keil project was created with CubeMX and therefore would be easy to port to CubeIDE, and it was :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:.The new CubeIDE application is working fine when running from debug or if I rewrite the bootloader to do a jump right after an reset without initing anything.But rewriting the bootloader is not an option since this is a product that's been in the marked for years and updates needs to work with the current bootloader. This is my jump function:void start_application(void) { p

I recently purchased a STM32F769NI MCU Discovery Kit. The kit is brand new, and I was looking to run the example display application "LCD_PicturesFromSDCard" from the most recent version of STM32CubeF7 software package. I downloaded the most recent version of STM32CubeF7 (1.17.0) as well as the most recent patch (1.17.1). I compiled the "LCD_PicturesFromSDCard" project in Keil uVision5 changing the optimization level to 0 and changed the defined processor symbol from "USE_STM32F769I_DISCO" to "USE_STM32F769I_DISCO_REVB03". As instructed via the readme.txt for this specific example application, I created a "Media" directory under the empty micro SD card root, and copied the 5 .bmp images provided in the sample application to the micro SD. I then connected the micro SD to the STM32F769NI MCU Discovery Kit and tried to run the application to display the photos with no success. The error of no bitmap files is consistently debug outputted to the display.

Hello, I am doing a project on making a car display using STM32H735, but the Display on it is small, as you know, for the cars. so, is there any way I can use another LED screen for the display on which I put all the data from my STM32H735 board and use it in the car, or can I change the display on the board that is available? Please Help I need to do it as soon as possible
