Hi, Regard I Problemed with stm32h747xi mcu. #Setting   - Power mode control is direct smps supply mode  - clock 480MHz  - VScale0 Setting  i saw stm32h7 user manual direct smps supply mode doesn't setting with 480MHzSo now I Know.But I don't know why it doesn't boot well at low temperatures. It seemed to boot well for 4 years at room temperature.When I tried to connect ST-link V2/V3, I checked that it didn't connect either. 

I developed with the stm32f756 chip and then switched to the stm32h743 chip.Then, the functions "LL_SPI_TX_FIFO_FULL", "LL_SPI_IsActiveFlag_BSY", "LL_SPI_IsActiveFlag_TXE", and "LL_SPI_IsActiveFlag_RXNE" that were in "stm32f7xx_ll_spi.h" cannot be found in "stm32h7xx_ll_spi.h". What is the reason and which function should I use to use those functions in stm32h?Please share your knowledge. Thank you.

Hi folks,I use CubeMx to generate UART∕DMA code for STM32L4xx MCU.CubeMx uses currently latest STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.18.0 package, but HAL_UARTEx_GetRxEventType() is not included in it, neither HAL_UART_RXEVENT_* events.I found it is included in the latest STM32L4 git. Could I somehow use latest STM32L4 git to generate a code by CubeMx with required fix automatically or would it always require manual work to replace HAL_Driver files? Cheers

Hi folks,I'm using HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA() on STM32L4. If I use minicom and type a few characters, HAL obviously detects an idle state after each single character I typed.I'd like to configure a idle timeout value used in HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(), so it would suite my use case.Could someone point me to the right place such a fix? Cheers

Hello.I encountered strange CubeIDE behavior on a customer board with an STM32G0B1CEU.I've found similar glitches on this forum, but they mostly stemmed from fake HW.I use all original STM from MOUSER.If I enable PWM on TIM4 in MXcube, without NVIC, I generate the code, then using CubeIDE and stlink-v3e I upload the code to the MCU without problems, it works without problems, the oscilloscope shows what it has.But as soon as I activate anything with NVIC (TIM PWM Interrupt, DMA interrupt, ...), I generate the code in CubeIDE, then when uploading the code to the MCU it terminates with an MI error message, see attachment.Where is the problem?Please help.

Hi all,I have a STM32F746 disco board and I'm trying to understand what the visual configurator (VC) does and doesn't do. I created an blank demo project for the board and I answer yes to the "initialize the board to default..." (or something like that).There is only one function created by the VC: MX_GPIO_Init(). I can see all the code inside it that initializes various pins. The I2C3 pins (SDA and SCL) are there too. The VC does *not* have the I2C3 enabled.Then, I enabled the I2C3 in the VC and saved. Now the code for the pins for the I2C3 is no longer inside MX_GPIO_Init(). In fact, is nowhere to be found ... by me... but the I2C3 works fine.Where is the code to initialize the pins for the I2C3 when I enable I2C3 in VC?BTW I'm calling the VC the window that opens up in STM32CubeIDE when you click on the ".ioc" file. I have built a sine wave to square wave circuit and now want to measure its frequency with the STM. I can see on the oscilloscope that the circuit works, however I can detect neither a rising nor a falling edge with the chip. It is not a problem with the code as I can detect both when they are generated by the chip with PWM or externally with a generator (which is old and its square wave really isn't that square) but also they are much slower.The frequency of the wave is 1.24MHz, measured with the oscilloscope. I don't think that this is too fast, the timer runs at 96Mhz, but maybe using interrupts at this speed is too much?The minimum voltage of the wave is 0.6V. I am suspecting that might be too high to be considered a logical 0 but I can't find documentation.I would appreciate any input and also if you could point me to documentation that would be nice!

Hi,MCU- STM32H7I get a busfault exception when I read bank2 flash memory. I can read bank1 with no issues. From the flash register SR2, it shows as ECC double bit error. This is new pcb and I can flash the hexfile to bank1 successfully. Even a Jlink memory read showed read error (below SS):

Hello,I am trying to use UART with DMA with IDLE line for unkown length data reception and I am getting the following error:request for member 'NDTR' in something not a structure or union main.cI coded a couple of years ago a HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback() function that needs NDTR to calculate the buffer position.rxBufPos = UART_BUFFER_SIZE - (uint16_t) huart->hdmarx->Instance->NDTR;It works works on STM32F4 series microcontrollers but it does not work on STM32H7 series microcontrollers.I have compared F4 and H7 DMA_HandleTypeDef struct and I have found that F4 *Instance type is DMA_Stream_TypeDef and H7 *Instance type is void.

You don't initialize sFilterConfig to zero, so sFilterConfig.FilterMaskIdLow could be a random number upon POR.

I am using a Nucleo-F429ZI with FreeRtos and LWIP. I am having an issue with LWIP when I start with a disconnected Ethernet Cable and then when I connect it back when the firmware is running.I have a thread with the following code. 1 - The gnetif structure is initialized by MX_LWIP_Init(). But the function check netif_is_up(&gnetif)returns that the link is up even though the cable is disconnected.2 - When I plug the cable back, the DHCP function does not acquire an IP Address. It seems stuck somewhere3 - When the cable is connected and then I disconnect it, the gnetif.ip_addr.addr stays with the initial DHCP address instead of resetting to 0. Any thoughts on what the issues might be ? MX_LWIP_Init();/* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */f

Hello! I am experimenting with a STM32F030F4P6. When I connect it to STM32CubeProgrammer via bootoader (UART), there is an info saying the micro has 32Kb of flash, instead of the expected 16Kb for this part.Is it possible that this microcontroller really have 32Kb of memory? Anyone had similar experiences? Thank you.

Hi Comunity, I am very new to STM and got some problems on serial UART. I can get data from my serial, but my problem is if the data received is less than the length of the array, the next data received doesn't overwrite the first data. How do I fix this problem? The first data is this. The second data after clearing the array is like this.  

Hello all, I've recently received a dev board for STM32G030F6 microcontroller and I wanted to make a simple USART test before continuing. I've started the project using STM32 CUBE MX initializing serial port and clock, also, I've retargeted printf as follows:int __io_putchar(int ch){ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1, 0xFFFF); return ch; }the main is just the initializations and a while(1) loop as follows:while (1){ printf("Hello World\r"); HAL_Delay(1000); }When I start a debug session (using st link v2 or J-link edu, tried  both) without the "HAL_Delay" I correctly see the message on the serial port.On the other hand, If the HAL_Delay is present everything seems ok but no output on the serial port, or sometimes it will output like a burst.  Does a

Fault handlers that work on M4 and M7's aren't being executed on an M33.  The Usage Fault I'm creating (via an undefined instruction) appears to be escalated to a Hard Fault.  The Core stops executing instructions before ever reaching a handler.  Is this an artifact of some M33 security BS and if so, how can it be corrected?Thanks very much for any insight.

Folks,I have setup the ADC to operate in scan mode, there are two analog channels to be converted. The CPU is running at 64 MHz and the ADC is running at 32 MHz. I am using the void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc) to start processing the ADC data.The ADC is triggered of the timer3 interrupt, which is on a 70 uS cadence. I do a little bit of work in the timer ISR for a few uS. The callback happens 30 uS after the timerIsr invocation ! I expected it to be much shorter in the order of a uS. What am I missing ?The code is bare metal.Appreciate any pointers.Thanks.-Bhaktha

I have a timer (TIM15) setup in trigger slave mode which uses CH1 for edge detect, and output compare on CH2. I have it working nicely to have the output low during the initial delay until the CNT reaches autoreload ARR. Then the output goes high as the output compare is 'Active level on match'. I then keep the oc in this state for some period of time (much longer than the resolution of timer can allow). At the end of this long period, I would like to be able to use the same delay triggered by an edge from CH1. I can get the final delay using 'inactive on match', but it doesn't wait for an edge on CH1, it just starts immediately. My main question is how can you reset the timer back into a state where it is waiting for an edge on CH1, without affecting the output on CH2? I want to hold the output high throughout the long delay and the also during the delay once the final edge is detected, until the output compare matches. Hi!I am somewhat unclear on how to handle variable length transmissions using the STM32F4xx HAL. I have looked at other solutions, and suggestions have been made to use HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA() or the ISR equivalent.My situation however, involves a continuous non stopping transmission from a NEOM8N GPS Module. The GPS has a default baud rate of 9600, which I have observed in my code. It uses the NMEA0183 protocol, which has a max sentence length of 83 characters. Any suggestions on how to implement the receive function for this GPS?

We want to use the STM32U585QII6Q for a new design, and I want to know what I need to do with the dedicated OPAMP VINM pins on this package. We don't want to use the OPAMPs. Do I leave these dedicated pins floating or should I connect them to GND?I checked the 'STM32 microcontroller GPIO hardware settings and low-power consumption' application note, but it doesn't state anything about dedicated OPAMP input pins.
