STM32 MCUs Products

During the process of configuring option bytes, we unfortunately got few MCUs bricked (unresponsive). In these devices, i was getting the following errors when trying to flash using STM32 programmer. (Tried both GUI and CLI with various reset modes and frequencies). All attempts resulted in the same error as shown below.Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug AuthenticationCould you suggest a way to recover these devices from the bricked state?For your information, these were the option bytes configuration done along with the Flash unlock/lock sequences during runtime 

Hey!I'm stumbling around with integrating littleFS using STM32 HAL library and EMMC 4GB chip, and any help would be greatly appreciated.I modified FATFS EMMC example so that it uses littleFS. I changed nothing in the SDMMC driver, so since it worked with original example I'm expecting it should also work with littleFS.I'm using STM32L4P5G-DK development kit with EMMC chip: Block size is 512 bytes and number of blocks is 7634944.The issue here is that I cannot for the life of me get it to work reliably. When I somehow (by tweaking parameters) get it to work and I change one parameter, it fails to format and then even if I reverse the changes the same issue persist.I would really appreciate if somebody could help me by checking the configuration and functions. Thank you so much!  

Hello. I am developing CAN communication protocols using STM32F429.However there is a problem in sending CAN frame data. Here is a picture which I captured in CAN TX using logic analyzer, and as you can see, the series of data is losted after first data.I tested this with publishing 100Hz, this problem occurred once a minute.In normal case, it should be like this.

 

Hi! I've seen some tutorials on can communication and notice that each of them use different StdId's. I'm using two nucle-l433rc-p boards, do I need a specific StdId or will any number between  0 and 0x7FF suffice?  

Hi,uC: STM32G051K8U6, IDE: 1.14.1, MX: 6.10.0-RC9I tried to generate some low frequency timeout using the LPTIM1 and the internal LSI time source, but it seems the code generator doesn't take in account the chosen option in the "LPTIM1 Clock Mux" selector. It seems it always choses the first option, whick is PCLK. I confirmed this, generating the code with different options selected and comparing then using WinMerge. Is there any chance to use both OCTOSPI (as 2xQSPI) with a LQFP100 package? There is a OCTOSPIM_P2_NCS but no OCTOSPIM_P2_CLK and Multiplexed Mode is not possible (only on P/Q-variants). Thanks in advance! 

Hi all,i am performing some 400bytes blocks transferts by SPI, at 16Mhz.I have NSS off, so no CS up/down between frames.From some testing, whatever system clock i set, or whatever spi clock i set, there is a fixed 4us time between 2 consecutive frames. This pause is of course very visible and heavy at 20Mhz spi clock, by scope something like:__||||||||_____________||||||||______________|||||||_____Transfer is done by LL_SPI_TransmitData8If any help to reduce this delay between frames, would be very good, or at least to know i cannot reduce it in any way will be helpful too.thanks a lot  

STM32H573AII3Q is a 169 pin UFBGA SMPS package. Along with SMPS option, does it also have internal LDO for core supply? Can we use internal LDO to supply core voltage for this package?

I am having some issues implementing dual bank/boot.I have set up a dummy project starting at base address 0x08000000 for 256k bytes that will turn on a red LEDI have another dummy project starting at base address 0x08040000 for 256k bytes that will turn on a green LEDBased on the example from 474 Dual Boot Mode, it seems you set the system in DBANK mode by setting the bit in FLASH_OPTR as well as setting the BF2B bit.Now I am confused if the BF2B forces booting from bank 2 or it just means it is allowed, cause I also see the function HAL_SYSCFG_EnableMemorySwappingBank(); // stm32g4xx_hal.c line 591Does calling this function and setting the SYSCFG_MEMRMP_FB_MODE bit cause the swap? or is this bit used to show where you booted from? right now I call this, and it crashes at HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch(), I do see dbank bit is set but never the BF2B bit or the SYSCFG_

After about an month, I connected my NUCLEO-L4A6ZG to my PC again. STM32CubeIDE nor the STM32CubeProgrammer can't recognize my board. I already tried different USB ports and different USB cables.When Trying to run a program the Error Message in the IDE is "No ST-Link detected! Please connect ST-Link and restart the debug session." and in the Programmer "Error: No debug probe detected". My board is powered on but seemingly not recognized. The red LED is constantly blinking (red-off-red-off-...). The green LED is constantly green.In case it required, my OS is Linux Mint (switched it from Fedora within the month i haven't used the board).

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with HAL SPI as when I try in 16-bit mode to make a single packet of data manually and use (sizeof xxx) it sends 2x data packets to the oscilloscope and when I specify the packet size as "1" I get the correct waveform? I want to understand the Timeout parameter of the HAL_SPI_Transmit, HAL_SPI_Receive and HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive function.

I'm attempting to enable the Stop mode on the STM32L4R5ZIP, but it appears to significantly deviate from the specifications outlined in the datasheet, exhibiting a higher current consumption ranging from 7 to 9 mA in both sleep and stop modes.Even after setting all free pins to default mode, deactivating all GPIOs, the power consumption remains consistent. I cant make work the HRTIM. Hello to all, Our design is using STM32F042G6 MCU to implement STSW-STM32011 firmware interface based on STM32Cube which implements ISO7816 protocol for us to talk to smart card. Unfortunately it does not seem to move beyond ATR.Is our MCU we use not good enough to support this FW, can it support only T=0 without T=1? If not good enough, what is the minimal MCU that would support the above FW or similar for ISO7816 over USART?Thanks for your help, Peter

Hi,I have successfully setup SPI between a master to many slave STM32F373s.  I include an 8 bit deviceID in the packet header and the master always initiates the request.I am looking for the best way for the master to assign unique device IDs.  I'm considering adding jumpers or switches to set the device ID in hardware.  In this case I would have the master discover devices by sending requests starting with device ID 1 and incrementing device ID until there is no response/timeout.  I"m leaning towards this solution since it allows the user to keep devices in the same order after a reboot or if the modules are swapped out.  It also allows the ID to be retained.  I'm considering having the master broadcast to all devices, and have each slave device wait for a random period before accepting requests from the master.  The master would continue to accept requests until a timeout is reached. I

Here's a rundown of what I'm trying to accomplish: I'm downloading a FOTA .bin file in 1024-byte chunks, totaling 60kb. These chunks are stored in a data buffer, and my task is to calculate the CRC of the entire file for verification purposes. Hello everyone, I am currently working on the SMT32H747i_DISCO board and I was wondering if it is possible to use the Segger J-Link debugger on the Board. There is a j-tag pin out connected to the Dev board which suggests that it should be possible. I didn't have any luck so far. Are there additional ports necessary? Am I missing something. Hi Team,      We are using the STM32F103RDT6 microcontroller in one of our projects. The end-user application of our project is a laptop vending machine. Simply put, students can acquire laptops/tablets by using their IDs. However, we are facing difficulties in verifying whether the laptops/tablets returned by the students are the same devices they took. All of the devices are Type-C only.Therefore, we are planning to automatically read the Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID) of the devices (laptops/tablets) using the STM32 microcontroller. Can you suggest or help us with the procedure to make this happen? Is it possible to read the Product ID using STM32?
