Hi every oneI want to use DWT->CYCCNT in my software for STM32G491RE. I used these 2 lines to enable it:CoreDebug->DEMCR |= CoreDebug_DEMCR_TRCENA_Msk; DWT->CTRL |= DWT_CTRL_CYCCNTENA_Msk; But when I see with the debugger it seems that it does not write anything to these registers. AFAIK for Cortex M7 we also have a lock register that should be written with the unique value provided by the reference manual.But here as we have cortex m4 I think we don't have such a thing, as I couldn't find this register in the CMSIS header file too.Am I missing anything? What should I do?By the way, I have to say that I can use CYCCNT while the debugger is connected. the problem is that I need to also use it when it is not connected to the debugger.

I am am trying to assess the accuracy of the input capture measurements by capturing a stable periodic pulse, setting the output compare on another channel of the same timer to the measurement, and then measuring the offset on a scope. It appears there is a pretty consistent 25ns lag in the input capture measurement. What primarily drives the lag and should/can this be calibrated out?

Hello,I am using DMAMUX(dm) chaining, that means there are n dm channels and the previous is generating an event for the next dm channel as a sync input. I noticed that there is a latency in the transition of one dm channel to the next one. For example if dm channel 0 is done(event is generated to dm channel 1), dm channel 1 starts with a latency of around 200ns. The latency is independent of:- nbreq- dma trigger source frequency Did sombody else notice that aswell?

If I want my SPI bus to have the CLOCK line high already before the active-low CHIP_SELECT (ENABLE/) line goes low, is there a way to do that?I'm driving an AD9833 chip which requires at least 5 nsec time after CLOCK high, before ENABLE/ goes low. Looking on the scope I see this is in fact true in between words, with the clock idle high, but it is not true on the very first transfer from the Nucleo. The first transition of ENABLE/ to low happens when the clock line is also still low. Is there some SPI configuration to enable a mode of operation where the clock line is high before the ENABLE/ line first goes low?

When I use STM32Uxx boards with USB device and STM32CubeU5 drivers/libraries - I cannot make use of ADC1.I want to use ADC1 also (not just USB), to measure VCORE and Temperature.It is a SW issue (and it can be fixed), not a HW issue.Details:I use STM32U5xx (e.g. NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q, with user USB-C as USB VCP UART. Hello,I am using an STM32L031G6U6 device. (28-UQFN)Summary: There are 6 ADC channels configured for DMA. After having a nominal voltage (2.9V or less) applied to Channel 0 / ADC_IN0 / Pin 6, and then removing the source, the value remains in the register. Description:It is configured using HAL. It uses channels 0,1,2,4,5,6. I am using a DMA transfer, word size, circular mode, along with 8x oversampling. Some data fields are voltage scaled, a couple sources use a buffer, but in each channel voltage data is correct and verified. Pin 5, VDDA, is at 3V0 and filtered using a 4.7u  + 100n cap. The 3V0 supply is relatively noise free.After booting up and beginning execution, every 10 secs a string of values is printed out, starting at channel 0. I apply a voltage of 2.9V or less to ADC0. The value is correct. All other channels are correct. Then I completely remove the voltage source from Channel 0. It continues to print out a voltage val

I am working on a project for my company that would like to use an STM32 processor that can both connect to a camera for capturing video data, and also connect to a 2TB SD card (SDXC) for storing said video data. We're aiming for the videos to be at least 1080p and 15fps. Ideally, we're also looking for being able to connect a microphone to add audio to the video files.The older version of our product used the STM32L452CEU6. It does not have SDMMC support (because it's the 48-pin version) but we were able to connect an adapter to a SPI peripheral and read/write to a 32GB SD card (SDHC). I've been put on hold for now with testing the adapter with the SDXC card, but in the meantime I wanted to ask if it would generally be possible on this STM32L452CEU6, if there are any differences to account for when using SDXC instead of SDHC,

Hello everyone,I am using an STM32F407G-DISC1 and have a stereo configuration of MEMS microphones. I need to divide the I2S CLK, which is 1 MHz, by two for the PDM CLK. I've attempted the settings recommended in Application Note AN5027, but the frequency division is not functioning as expected (this was verified using an oscilloscope). There is only a constant low-level signal at the output.I connect the I2S CLK to the TIM TI1FP1 input as a trigger source for external clock mode 1, and then generate the output using CH2. Does anyone know where the problem might be? Thanks in advance. I'm also attaching screenshots of the wiring and TIM settings.

I am generating a sweep signal (a sine wave whose frequency increases over time) on STM32F4 Discovery board by using a look-up table and changing the Prescaler value of TIM2. Unfortunately, the transition from one frequency to another is not smooth and continuous because Prescaler can only be an integer value. For example, if I want my sweep to start from 500Hz and reach 800Hz, I expect the output to be a continuous sinusoid which takes all values between this range. Hi,I wan't to use the stm32 as described in the videohttps://youtu.be/dd5LaqmN8O0https://controllerstech.com/stm32-timers-9-one-pulse-mode/with the difference that I uses the trm4  and the input trigger is channel 1.Operation is ok but applying the signal from a 3.3v signal generator lowers it to 2.3v! It's as if the input resistance of the trigger was a little too low. But I can't find anything about this. I applied this same signal to an input on capture, and there no problem, the signal remains at 3.3v.Do you have any idea about the cause of this drop in signal?

Hi,I'm using Nucleo H7A3ZI-Q board and I'm trying to use HAL_UART_Transmit function to print hello world in serial monitor(on puTTy). Code is building without any issues but there's no characters showing in serial monitor, I tried the same  code on H7 development kit and still have the same issue. I know the code is correct as I tried it with Nucleo F401RE board previously. In code I created an array and assign hello world to it, then give the transmit command. What could be the issue here?

Hello community ,I have configured STM32G030 as SPI Slave in DMA mode where master commands poll rate at 50 ms . I have set NSS pin as Hardware input as it is slave . As soon as NSS pin PB0 detects ,SPI DMA transmission starts in hardware level. Payload length is 9 Bytes where last two bytes are dummy . sometimes one bit is in 7th byte's nibble(checksum) is getting left shifted by 1 . so checksum is getting failed . example:- {0x44,0x00,0x00,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x8a,0x00,0x00,};(checksum should be 0x89 (1000 1001) ,but it is received as 0x8a(1000 1010))kindly give your suggestions for solving this    SPI_HandleTypeDef spi_handle; DMA_Hand

Hi, I am facing a problem to connect the B-L4S5I-IOT01A STM32 board to Wifi. I downloaded X-Cube-AWS. And STM32L4 Discovery Kit IoT Node (B-L475E-IOT01A) ISM43362-M3G-L44-SPI-C3.5.2.7.STM SPI Firmware but still fails to connect. Problem is that the Interrupt of the wakeupTimer start firing immediatly after its initialization, then the program get stuck in a loop of infinite RTC IRQs (see the atteached screenshots):

I am trying to offset the RTC by milliseconds. I have read through the documentation on this and this has lead me to RTC_SHIFTR. I have looked for examples how to set this up and what maths I need to use. However I am still unable to see the results I am expecting. Hi All, I am trying to develop a loader application to load a firmware image on to the NOR flash memory using QUAD SPI. I am not sure about the NOR flash memory part available on the STM32H747I-eval board. There is only limited details on it as it obsolete. I am planning to use the "1-Gbit twin Quad-SPI NOR flash memory or two 512-Mbit Quad-SPI NOR flash" as in the user manual. Assuming the part is Micron - MT25QL01GB it tried to erase a sector. But it did not work. I configured the M7 core for quad SPI. Below is my QSPI setting also attaching my main.c and QSPI files.
