STM32 MCUs Products

The schemes of a production circuit are given to me from another designer for being analyised. PCB board is a STM32F103VC based circuit.When I was looking at the bootloader circuitry scheme I saw how RS232 bus seems to be connected to the UART1 microcontroller port.  This circuitry implements BOOT1 and BOOT0 connections. These pins are two bit combination that allows different boot option, depending of logic levels there. "There is one of the boot option, known as embedded bootloader, that allows FLASH reprograming using UART1 port", datasheet says.Up to here, seems to be clear and correct. But diving a bit more I looked for what pins where exactly connected here, and they were these by one side (RX and TX on P9:P10:( 

I want to be able to continuously adjust the phase of a timer output via input capture on another signal. I do not want the timer to be automatically triggered or reset by the external signal because I want some processing in the loop to determine how to react to the input capture value. The course I am taking right now is to adjust TIMx->CNT. The problem is that I am experiencing somewhat nondetermistic delays in reading/writing the count at my desired timer clock frequency such that something like TIMx->CNT-- or even TIMx->CNT = TIMx->CNT actually adjusts the phase by 8-12 counts based on input capture and scoped output. Is there a better way to more deterministically down- or up- adjust the timer count than essentially reading and writing back the CNT value? 

HelloLet's assume I have a TVP5150 device connected to a STM32H7 MCU. The TVP5150 transmits PAL frames as YUV. This means 2 bytes per pixel.This results in 720x576 * 2 = 829.440KB per frame. In reality, there is pretty sure the need for double buffering. So I guess I need ~1.65MB to store/cache frames.There is SDRAM Support for STM32H7 allowing to connect e.g. a 64Mbit SDRAM.Is this a "supported" setup? Can I use DMA to transfer data of the TVP5150/Camera Interface into SDRAM? Will the SDRAM and STM32H7 be fast enough for such kind of operation?The STM32H7 should also be able to encode these frames into JPEG/MJPEG.  

I have the NUCLEO-L433RC-P development board and looking for some code that will allow me to read and write to a micro SD card, but I can't seem to find anything in the example code for this processor.I found some SD card example code but they were for a different processors and I don't know how to change the processor to an STM32L433How can I get some software that will allow me to use an SD card with this development board ?  

Hey. I'm trying to create a program that receives 4 bytes long strings from my pc and transfer them through an spi connection to a peripheral device, throught a usb connection.I've set my stm32 nucleo board up as a usb device and generated the required file. The thing that i noticed though is that i could use the cdc_transmit_hs function inside the main.c super loop, if declared as extern, but i couldn't do the same with the receive counterpart. I am using the NUCLEO-G071RB, STM32CubeIDE (v1.14.0), and the HAL library STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.6.2 for prototyping firmware that should communicate with an external device using UART single-wire, half-duplex communication.The expected startup response from the device is 0x73xxxxxx, which works after a full power-cycle (power off/on). However, after a software reset using the HAL function NVIC_SystemReset(), the startup response has a leading zero byte: 0x0073xxxx, which invalidates the packet and causes communication to fail.Question:How to prevent the leading zero byte? Does a software reset require an additional command to flush the UART RX buffer?Thank you!

I am developing a device using the nucleo-f429zit6 evaluation board as a reference. This device has an Ethernet communication function, and the Ethernet communication function was tested by directly connecting this device to the server using a cross-Ethernet cable. Currently, after a command is delivered to the device from the server, the response from the device arrives at the server late. As an example, I checked the server's response to a ping command, and the initial response took about 2 seconds. I'd like to know how to improve this response so that it comes out quickly, within 1 second. The current device's slow Ethernet communication response speed

Hi, We are trying to run a signal integrity simulation of STM32H747IGT6 in Altium Designer. However, all of the reflection waveforms for signals driven by the device are around 0 volts (basically noise, no driver). We've noticed there is some errata for other IBIS models in this product family. Are there any known issues with this IBIS model? Or can someone recommend a remedy? We are using "stm32h747_757_lqfp176.ibs" downloaded from: https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32h747ig.html#cad-resources.Thanks!

Hi! I am configuring DMA to generate a PWM signal to control addressable LEDs with an STM32563VGTx MCU.My issue arises when generating the PWM signal using DMA. When calling the "HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA" function, it executes without any errors, and the finished callback is triggered, indicating the completion of the data transmission. However, i am not able to see the data displayed on the logical analyzer.I have verified the signal generated with a logic analyzer, and at all times, the signal remains at 0. I believe the error is not so much in the code but in the configuration of DMA and PWM.Thanks for your help.This is my GPDMA configuration:

VSCode is gaining in popularity at work and so I had a requirement to use it as the development platform for an ST mcu based project. I have very little experience with vscode and as I was unable to find an answer to my problem I thought that I would share what worked for me.My application uses both internal and external flash for code (qspi). I created an external loader (MT25Q128A_STM32F746_KAL_AB.stldr) and was able to program this in STM32CubeIDE by configuring the external loader details in the debugger tab. VSCode requires certain extensions - cortex-debug; MemoryView; Peripheral Viewer and RTOS Views. Sorry if I've missed any.The way to debug the application is to create a launch.json file. Hello,upfront, it might be an incredibly dumb problem on my behalf as I am fairly new to this.For a couple days now I have been trying to read out the voltage through the onboard ADC configured for 12 bits but all I am getting back are values in a similar range (mostly somewhere in between 1500 and 1800 but that changes with the amount of delay that I introduce, does that help?). The value itself does change, floating within that range.I have tested for faulty connections and switched the board but the issue persists.It is a very basic setup, just a potentiometer connected to the A0, and it works if I use an Arduino with its framework to try and read the value (the potentiometer is not broken). But also supplying A0 with ground or 3.3v directly doesn't change the read value. After reading the value I write it to serial, which is also working.My guess is that something with my clock configuration is wrong and the ADC has not enough time to run a mean

Hi community,I am using STM32H747I-DISCO board and I configured external SDRAM as dynamic data memory in M7 core by  calling the SystemInit_ExtMemCtl() function in  SystemInit() function, it is working fine but when I tried with the M4 SystemInit_ExtMemCtl() function call is only defined for M7 core in SystemInit() function. Please someone suggest is it possible to use external SDRAM as dynamic data memory in M4 core? 

Hi, everyone.When implementing a sort of delay function using Timer2 to have a more precise time control, while putting the MCU in power-saving mode, I noticed that the division performed to the APB1/2 clocks does not correspond to what's programmed. Hello, we are using the saleale logic 8 to read data transfer between an STM32 MCU and an IC through SPI (ADS8166 ADC).The CLK frequency is 1.5 for the SPI configuration with a prescaler of 2 so at the end we have  CLK of 750 kHz. For some reason SOMETIMES we can't read the data properly through the MISO channel with this configuration, even though the saleale has a sample frequency of 50 Ms/s. The saleale configuration is correct and the MOSI signal is always read accordingly. The debugger always reads the correct values so the data being transfered is correct but the saleale reads it wrong. Find attached screenshots of the measurments.Any idea of what could we be doing wrong?should be reading 0xAA:

I am currently working on a project that requires the use of IAT EWARM 8.50. When I compile this project for an STM32H745XI MCU and try to flash/debug I get the "Failed to load Flash loader" error. On the flash console I get this output:C:\Program Files (x86)\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 8.4\arm\config\flashloader\ST\FlashSTM32H7x5.mac(169,34): Error: Operation error.At that location (169,34) in the macro file I find:DBGMCU_APB3FZ1 = __readMemory32(0xE00E1034, "AP2_Memory");And column 34 is at the start of the first argument for __readMemory32. I have tried a few different settings while debugging and unchecking the 'override default .board file'Also, This process works on the built in stlink v3 for the STM32H745 Nucleo board and for the STlinkv2. Has anyone seen this problem before?

Posted on July 24, 2015 at 16:37Hello everyone.I am using a custom board with STM32F030C8 on it and ST-Link V2 for programming and debugging on keil MDK v5.14.It worked fine and i was able to burn and debug the firmware. Yesterday i programmed an example from STM32 standard peripheral library, i was successful to program the controller first time. But the next time i try to flash the code, it throws an error ''No target connected''. I dont know but somehow it bricked the controller. The same thing happened with the other perfectly working board. And now i have 2 bricked boards.Is there any way i can find out if the controller is working?Because i am not able to detect it using keil or STlink visual programmer.I am very new to STM microcontrollers...Somebody plz help... #stm32

In STM32L4Q5VGT6, GPIOx-> ASCR register is missing in reference manual of RM0432 Rev 9. ASCR  GPIO analog switch control register,   Address offset: 0x2C (GPIO_TypeDef)To enable the GPIO to ADC switch using the register ASCR is LL_GPIO_EnablePinAnalogControl is missing in STM32L4Q5VGT6. But it is STM32L475VGT6 ASCR register is available, why in STM32L4Q5VGT6 it is left out. Hi everyone,The MCU on my custom board is an STM32U585. I put RDP mode to 0.5 in order to debug the product application with CubeIDE (our custom bootloader is in secure world).RDP regression to level 0.5 works fine (non-secure memory is fully erased (and not write protect) and RDP byte value is 0x55), I can read internal flash on non-secured address but I can't write nothing inside non secure memory (using CubeProgrammer v2.15.0 I try both to write single byte and write a binary in Reliable an Fast connection mode). I can only connect the stlink probe in "hot Plug" Mode.
