Question

'Press OK only when installation is finished' - but not pressing it prevents it from proceeding!

The installation instructions give dire warnings not to press OK until the installation has finished:

and, indeed, the popup appears - saying "finish the ongoing installation":

But the popup blocks the installation from proceeding - all progress stops!!

So what am I supposed to do?

    In the installation instructions:

    The actual installer:

0693W000005Bs3zQAC.pngthere it stops - should I press OK, or should I follow the instructions ... ?

    Hello Andrew,

Explanation : the installer launch installation of STM32CubeProgrammer but installer can't detect this installation is finish to install the next software component. This is to explain the warning.

What you need to do :

    launch installer

first it will launch STM32CubeProgrammer installation. When installation of STM32CubeProgrammer is finished click on OK.

Then it will launch installation of STM32CubeIDE installation. When installation of STM32CubeIDE is finished click on OK

If you still face issue, let us know and we can organize a quick help session

"the installer launch installation of STM32CubeProgrammer but installer can't detect this installation is finish"

I guess that's the intention - but it's not working that way.

The installer is not launching the installation until I OK the message!

    This is on Windows10-Pro.

I ignored what the message says, and just pressed 'OK' - and all the installations appear to have completed.

No, it hasn't worked - the  STM32CubeProgrammer is not installed

So I ran the STM32SecuWS setup again, and selected only the Cube Programmer:

    0693W000005BxHhQAK.png

    Again, this message appears:

0693W000005BxIfQAK.pngBut that stalls the installation - nothing happens so long as that message is displayed.

I have to click the 'OK' to get the installation to start.

But, once I click OK, it does seem to proceed.

This dialogues is not mentioned in the PDF:

    0693W000005BxJsQAK.pngShould the 'STM32TrustedpackageCreator' be checked?

(I did check it, just in case...)

The CheckEnv.bat does now confirm that STM32CubeProgrammer v2.5.0 and SBSFU installations are OK.

Is there anything else I can do to verify that everything is fine?

    Hello Andrew,

sorry this is the first report of such issue and I don't catch the root cause.

But finally everything seems to be well installed.

If you already received the board, please go now through the SBSFU and TFM hands-on, to finalize the workshop preparation.

    Br,

    Frantz
