Hi ST Community ,

Does this position of the board and the copper zone is OK for the STM32WB5M MCU and the antenna ? because all dev boards from ST places the MCU on the PCB's edge .
Thank You !

Hello @mobaid

My question now is Will this placement affect the operation of the MCU and BLE ? or it's OK to go ??

As indicated on the DS, the MCU with the BLE capability will work but the performance may not be good.

Best Regards.

Ahline ya @mobaid

The best STM32WB5MMG module placement and other layout recommendations are mentioned on the chapter 6.2 of the DS13252. Following them will guarantee the best performance for your system.

Best Regards.

Ahline ya @STTwo-32

I'm following the module placement recommendation in my all designs , however , in this design I have to move the MCU away from the board edge because of housing limitation . that's why I'm asking .

"This position allows the antenna to work to its maximum performance. If it cannot be placed as recommended
above, the application board performance could be reduced. This does not, however, prevent correct operation"

My question now is Will this placement affect the operation of the MCU and BLE ? or it's OK to go ??
