Hi!So I was reading the wiki here https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_system_resourcesand they tell you to use PERIPH_LOCK, which is a function that can be found here:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMP1/blob/1.3.0/Projects/STM32MP157C-DK2/Templates/Src/lock_resource.cHowever, HAL_HSEM_FastTake does a read lock and not a write lock.When should I be using HAL_HSEM_FastTake() vs HAL_HSEM_Take()? Why does PERIPH_LOCK call HAL_HSEM_FastTake() to get a read lock when it is writing to GPIO/EXTI registers?

I have modified STM32MP157C-DK2 board with NAND flash connected through FMC and it works properly with linux kernel 5.4-stm32mp-r1. I notice that there are some changes to FMC in 5.4-stm32mp-r2 and tried to build my custom linux using the newer release. Unfortunately, the kernel always crashed because it can't open the MTD device. The device can boot TF-A and u-boot properly but it always stuck at the kernel.in 5.4-stm32mp-r1 version I only modify the DK2 device tree by stripping unused nodes, removing nodes that use the same pin as FMC, and adding FMC node by copying the configuration from stm32mp15xx-evx.dtsi. I am configured both the FDCAN interfaces on the STM32MP1 discovery board with the settings below using STM32CubeMX. FDCAN1: PA11 (RX) PA12 (TX)FDCAN2: PB12 (RX) PB13 (TX)But I can't seem to get any data from either interface. I have a logic analyzer connected and have verified that there are packets going to the discovery board but candump doesn't show anything and cansend doesn't seem to be sending out any frames.I also use the following command to turn on each interface. ip link set can0 type can bitrate 500000ifconfig can0 upAm I missing something in the settings?Thanks,

HelloI built a Yocto based image for my stm32 and made sure that the required packages were installed. When I flashed my Image some packages were not found although before building the image I checked the list of packages to be integrated with bitbake -g st-image-weston && cat pn-buildlist | grep -ve "native" | sort | uniqThe .manifest file also contains the right packages to be installed. Why weren't they included in the image after the build? Thank you.

Hi All,i am have a usb drive enabled in stm32mp1, which works only as a pendrive,but when i connect mouse or keyboard , kernel is not detecting the device.but if i do same procedure in ubuntu machine, the usb port detect pendrive and mouse.what i am missing ?

HelloIn many instances (TF-A, U-Boot, Kernel, FlashLayout_emmc.tsv ...) it is assumed that there is an SD card called "mmc0" and optionally an eMMC "mmc1". Now we ONLY have an eMMC and NO SD. This means that the eMMC is called "mmc0" and not "mmc1". As a result, U-Boot does not boot the correct kernel, the kernel cannot find the root partition, the wrong mmc1 is in the flash layout_emmc, etc. I "just" have to look how to get the patches into the Yocto build system. I have another place where I overwrite the "boot_instance" with 0 in the source code. I would prefer a corresponding configuration so that the source code does not have to be patched. It is not yet clear to me who sets the "boot_instance". In boot mode 0xb010, this is 1 and is then translated (incorrectly) into mmc1 in "bootcmd". U-Boot recognizes the eMMC as mmc0, which means that the UBoot environment cannot be read because it is expected on mmc1.Does anyone have a solution?

I want to create my own machine.I'm trying to create with reference to following Wiki Page.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine​In "2 Generate device tree" in the wiki page, I need to set device tree from STM32CubeMX to "mx" directory.However, OpenSTLinux Distribution Package (openstlinux-20-02-19) that I have install has no "mx" directory  in "meta-st-stm32mp-addons".​Do I need any other steps to create "mx" directory in "meta-st-stm32mp-addons" automatically?And, in the case that I want to change kernel or u-boot or tf-a device tree, all I need is to change device tree in "mx" directory?Do I need any other steps to reflect the change of device tree setting?For reference, I have tried to create "mx" directory manually and set device tree to "mx" directory, but bitbake failed.(Error message shows "No rule to make target arch/arm/boot/dts/xxxxxxxx.dtb")Best regards,H. I'm using FreeRTOS v10.2.1, CMSIS RTOS v1 main.c (generated by CubeMX) has:...osThreadDef(defaultTask, StartDefaultTask, osPriorityNormal, 0, 128);...where osPriorityNormal is zero as defined in cmsis_os.hI spawn all other tasks using the FreeRTOS xTaskCreate call where task priority is from 0..MAX_PRIORITIES-1. How does FreeRTOS task priority maps to CMSIS task priority if it maps at all? The reason i ask is that if i keep StartDefaultTask alive, how does it get scheduled against those tasks created with xTaskCreate?

Hello Guys.​I made a custom board from the EV1 circuit base, removing unnecessary parts.(Most of them are the same as the EV1. Are the low level interfaces such as LL_GPIO_MODE available for STM32MP157C? If so, where can I find the headers? I created a project using STM32CubeIDE but can only see headers for HAL.

I am working with the STM32MP1-DK2 development board and am trying to use RAUC to do image updates. I am using an SD card with two bootfs and rootfs partitions with one pair being active at a time. Currently I'm in the uboot integration stage where I need to create a script to change the active bootfs and rootfs, below is an example that rauc provides. I've looked at the uboot environment variables but can't seem to find which ones set boot and rootfs partition to use?I see reference to a scan that is done to detect a bootfs but not sure how to modify it. Is there a way to enable onscreen keyboard (on STM32MP1 with touchscreen)? For example to type something in terminal or use it with graphical libraries like GTK.

We want to display a camera stream in a QML application on our STM32MP157C-based board. When we use the default QML widgets, the framerate is too low, under 10 fps.We try to solve the problem by using GStreamer's qmlglsink with GstGLVideoItem: it works on PC, but on the STM32MP157C it crashes with a segmentation fault in the "gcoTEXTURE_GetMipMap()" function, provided by the GCnano firmware. I am super new to this and I need guidance. Does anyone have experience with using Android Studio to build an app and then using Bluetooth or WiFi so the app can connect to a STM32 Eval board? Where would be a good place to start? I am using UART5 on an STM32MP151 to communicate with an external processor. The Cortex-A7 is running Linux and DMA is in use for both receive and transmit. Hardware flow control is also enabled and the transfer rate is 6 Mbps. Currently we are running test code to repeatedly send messages between the processors in both directions simultaneously. During this test, eventually the MP151 will send part of a message, and then the transmission will stop and never complete. I have verified this both by examining what is received on the other processor, as well as by using an oscilloscope. Here is the data that I have about the problem:Hardware flow control is not activating in this scenario, as verified by the oscilloscopeThe DMA transfer is still active. I have an STM32MP157A-DK1 dev board and I have successfully build and flashed the st-image-core (Distribution-Package) and flashed to sdcard.I want to add ModemManager and NetworkManager to the build. I see that meta-oe layer appears to be included and within meta-oe is a recipes-connectivity which contains ModemManager. How can I enable this in the build?Additionally, I don't see NetworkManager in any layers. Is thare an equivalent functionality within another package?Thank you
