Greetings, I am trying to figure out the full chain scaling values for the gyro and accelerometer of the ISM330DHCX. I am reading the datasheet as well as the AN5398.  According to the datasheet the output values of accelerometer and gyro is scaled with the configured range over an int16 to milli-g and milli-dps. So to convert an acceleration reading for with the sensor configured to 2g we do:scale = 2 * 1000 / 2**15accel = raw * scale // accel now in milli-g for 2g scale is about 0.061. The same formula can be used to get the scale for the other ranges. For acceleration these values make sense in existing drivers (linked below). However, when doing the same calculation for the gyro range things do not make sense. E.g. for a range of 250 dps we should get:scale = 250 * 1000 / 2**15 = 7.629but this value is not the one that is listed in existing drivers, there rather 8.75 is listed which corresponds to a range of 286.72 dps! Hello,I have question about gps speed prediction in the tunnel.When gps loses signal in the tunnel, we can not get any speed info from gps.In that case, can we predict speed using mems? If yes, how to solve that?Thanks in advance for your advice.Best regardsTiel

Hello,I'm using the IMP34DT05 available with the STEVAL-MIC003V1 kit to record audio the nucleo-f401re. I'm using the PDM2PCM library to convert the PDM stream to PCM data. The audio is recorded at 8kHz.I have tried reproducing 1kHz tone on the microphone. Unfortunately, after recording and listening to the .wav file on the computer it appears to be really noisy.Do you know how can I solve this issue?I have tried increasing the sampling frequency to 16kHz without success.I upload the recorded .wav, by looking at the FFT the 1kHz peak is present. However, if you listen to the audio, playing it in audacity it is really bad. The signal-to-noise ratio seems to be really poor.Any suggestion is welcome.Thanks.

Hello,I am using the SensorTile Dev Kit for collecting accelerometer and gyroscope data. I have managed to use the SDK in python for interfacing with the sensor and plotting acc and gyro data in real-time. However, I was wondering if there was a way for me to adjust the sampling frequency which currently seems to be at 20 Hz for me.

Hi,I'm doing gesture recognition with the LSM6DSO(X) finite state machine. It still doesn't work as it should.1.Can I use sqrt(x²+y²) as input data without using the z axis information? Similar to the norm sqrt(x²+y²+z²), but without z axis. I am not able to do this with a MASK.Background: I try to detect every back and forth movement in the xy plane, no matter in which direction. To do this, I set a limit value for the amplitude of the acceleration in the x and y directions. But if the movement is between the x and y axes, it is more difficult to reach one of the x or y limits. 2.My other question is whether it is possible to measure the distance traveled in FSM? Because I can also use the integrated gyroscope signal to measure the rotated angle with command SINMUX.Best regardsArmin

  Hello. I would like to make a new project for the "SensorTile.box PRO" board using STM32CubeIDE. It appears that the board is not available. (In the image below, you can see that I have filtered on "box" and only the non-pro SensorTile.box device shows up. These two boards are quite different (MCU, peripherals, etc.) so I can't use it. Is this a bug or omission in the tool? Do I need to add the SensorTile.box PRO BSP manually or something? Thanks  

Hello,I have a SensorTile.Box Pro that I can connect to using my Android Phone. However, when I run the example_ble_1.py script to discover ST devices and connect to them to read their features using ble, it detects my SensorTile.Box and not my SensorTile.Box Pro. I have mad sure the Pro is turned on and can connect to the ST BLE App. Any advice on how to get it to connect using the SDK would be appreciated as I have created a gui for plotting gyro and acc data in real time which can utilize the SensorTile.Box and the kit. Currently I am missing the ability to connect to the Box Pro.

Hi, I got the reference board of STEVAL-MKI141V2 that has HTS221 temperature and humidity sensor.#1I read out the calibration registers by the manual of https://www.st.com/resource/en/technical_note/tn1218-interpreting-humidity-and-temperature-readings-in-the-hts221-digital-humidity-sensor-stmicroelectronics.pdf and the result is following.    H0_rH_X2 (30) = 3A,   H1_rH_x2 (31) = 87,  T0_degC_x8 (32) = A7,  T1_degC_x8 (33) = 16    T2/T0 msb (35) = 4    H0_T0_OUT (36,37) = FFFB,   H1_T0_OUT (3A,3B) = D6E4    T0_OUT (3C, 3D) = FFFF,    T1_OUT (3E, 3F) = 0310 So the registers value of H0_T0_OUT, H1_T0_OUT also T0_OUT value are minus, is that normal?#2It seems the temperature and humidity can be calucuated from there registers. 25.5 degree and 57% RHbut humidity is more 10% higher than other sensors. Hello, I am trying to get a ISM330IS IMU working. I have ordered a development kit from Mouser / ST Micro with the following board number https://www.mouser.in/ProductDetail/STMicroelectronics/STEVAL-MKI230KA?qs=amGC7iS6iy%252B%252BWAEBNHSnWw%3D%3D (photos are also attached).  I have done the wiring referring to the User Manual Section 5.1. (photo is also attached). Hello I'm trying to characterize LSM6DSO32X sensors on MKI221V1 using MKI109V3 evaluation board, It is crucial that I can see the output rate for my analysis.Unfortunately Unico GUI software doesn't seem to have an option to record the sensors with data time stamps.From data sheets I found that the sensors can work up to 6.6KHz, but after recording and deviding the number of samples by the record time ([sec]) I got only about 5.8KHz data rate.. Would like to have a way to find the real data rate I'm receiving with my sensors. Thanks, Lev.

I am using a I3G4250 on a custom PCB over I2C. When you first take data from it on restart it works but then after less than a second, it stops getting new data. It receives data exactly 25 times before stopping and sometimes receives about the same amount of packets more than 1 minute after.Any help is appreciated,Delta Space Technologies 

What does "shock survivability" of a module mean ? Does it imply that the module reading with not change when the module exceeds the threshold value or will exceeding the limit kill the module ? For an application of +-25g , which IMU and pressure sensor would you recommend ? 

Hi,I readed the default value of the identification register in H3LIS331DL by SPI mode and it responded with 0x32h as per the data sheet,but while reading the STATUS REG default value it responded with 0xFFh instead of 0x00h. Hi all,I Have a custom board that runs Linux. The board has a LSM6DSL module on it as well. the IMU driver has been ported into the Linux Kernel and I have access to the Accelerometer output registers from the Linux  sysfs entries under  /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:deviceXin_accel_x_rawin_accel_y_rawin_accel_z_rawHowever, there is no sysfs entries for the Gyroscope output registers for user interface registers. How do I add it or enable in the driver. thanks

When trying to download either Unico-GUI 9.14.6 or 9.13.0 I keep getting the error below. Any idea how to solve that on MacOS Ventura? I have already tried opening the pkg with control+right click, etc. with no success.  

Good day, I'm currently reading data on the FIFO using Continuous-to-FIFO mode. I'm also using the lsm6dsm_STdC provided on Github. I'm doing the tests using the STEVAL-MKI189V1I've set up the FIFO to only read Accelerometer data for now. While testing, I place the device in three positions, X, Y, Z down respectively.In the test data: Data0 = X, Data1 = Y and Data2 =Z.I've set the ODR of the FIFO and Accel to 1k66Hz.While testing I get the following Results:X Pointing Down: X reads -1000mG which is expected. But Y and Z jumps between 0 and -1000. Shouldn't they both be 0?Y Pointing Down: X reads 0 as expected. But Y and Z jumps between 0 and -1000. Shouldn't Z be 0 and Y = -1000?Z Down: Both X and Y reads 0, but Z jumps between 0 and -1000.When I set Fifo ODR to 52Hz, everything looks as it should. Why am I getting these results if the ODR is at 1k66Hz?RegardsDouglas

I need to communicate by I2C my board that contains the LIS3DH accelerometer with the MKI109V3 adapter board. In order to evaluate if the sensor readings are correct.From what I understand, the MKI109V3 evaluation board allows communication via SPI and I2C. But, still not able to do it by I2C.In my project I use the following signals:SCLSDAWhile the signals:SDO/SA0 (connected to 3V3)CS (connected to 3V3)And I am using Unico-GUI software version 9.12.0.0And I have the following response.I would like to know what I have to do to establish I2C communication between my board (slave) and the MKI109V3 board (master).

Hi,looking in the AN5902 Finite State Machine application note for LIS2DUXS12, rev 3 on page 47, it is mentioned that using the Adaptive self-configuration (ASC) it is possible to switch from Ultra Low Power mode to High-Performance mode. However, in the AN58012 application note for LIS2DUXS12, rev 3 page 15, it says that it is not possible to directly switch from Ultra Low Power mode to High-Performance without setting the accelerometer to power-down mode.What is correct, is the ASC example in the AN5902 application note really possible to do? Also, a second question. If TI3 = 125 samples and the ODR is 100Hz, wouldn't that mean 1.25s? In the example it says 5 seconds but that will only be true if ODR is 25Hz, right?

I have connected X-Nucleo-IKS02A1 to Nucleo H563Zi.When I am trying to initialize the MotionCP library using MotionCP_Initialize() function, it is not getting initialized and I couldn't step into it.But when I initialize IKS02A1_MOTION_SENSOR_Init(IKS02A1_IIS2DLPC_0,MOTION_ACCELERO), it is working.What may be the problem??

I'm trying to get an accelerometer connected to my Nucleo-g070RB. I've got the STEVAL-MKI164V1 board with a LIS2HH12 on it.The problem I have is I always get either zero of 0xFF when try to read the device ID (WhoAmI) which is not correct.The 2 boards are wired up as:+3.3V ------- Vdd+3.3V ------- Vdd_IOGround ------ GroundPA6 --------- JP2(22) SDOPA7 --------- JP2(21) SDA/SDI/SDOPA1 --------- JP2(20) SCL/SPCPA4 --------- JP2(19) CS From my .ioc file I've configured things as followsData Size : 8bitsFirst Bit: MSB FirstCPOL: HighCPHA: 2 Edge Also I've configured PA4 as a digital output to use for CSI found another post in this forum indicating these settings are correct LIS2HH12 does not respond on SPIInitially I thought that CPHA should have been on 1 Edge.  Recently, I created a driver for the lis3mdl sensor. The sensor is providing data, but there are issues with the temperature readings and potentially with the magnetometer data. I don't have prior experience with magnetometers, so I'm uncertain if the data is accurate. When I move the sensor in different directions, the data changes, but I'm not sure if it should be close to zero. Additionally, there's a temperature discrepancy of about 10 degrees; the sensor shows 50 degrees in my apartment while my thermostat reads 72 degrees. Below, I've included images showing the initialization, output, and temperature/magnetometer data readings. It's worth noting that I divided the temperature data by 256 based on recommendations from this article https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?p=900905 for improved accuracy.

Hi ST experts,Is there any sample codes available for IMU?I checked the info of X-Cube-MEMES-XT1 is already NRND.  

I have examined the FSM example folder on github and, while there is an example for an external magnetometer, I haven't found any examples for an external barometer. Is there such an example? And if so, where can I find it?I believe I can create my own, but it is always easier to follow a previous working example. Thanks!
