Hey all, I’m working on integrating a PS/2 trackball into a custom PCB using QMK, and I’ve hit a weird snag. My MCU is an STM32F072 (custom PCB, project repo here: https://github.com/vuckale/takt11800/tree/master/Firmware. I’m following the official https://docs.qmk.fm/features/ps2_mouse and using the “interrupt” version for the mouse interface. Here’s the issue: - Sometimes after flashing, the trackball works perfectly. - If I unplug and plug the keyboard back into the PC, the trackball usually stops working. Sometimes after multiple re-plugs or after waiting a while, it comes back, but it’s super inconsistent. I’ve tried: - Different pin combos for clock/data (B3/A15, A0/A1, B10/B11)—all with 4.7k pull-ups to 5V except A0/A1 which are not 5V tolerant and I pull them up with 10k resistors to 3.3V. - If I add #define PS2_MOUSE_USE_REMOTE_MODE in config.h, then the trackball is detected every time after replug… but the cursor goes crazy—jumps around the screen, and left/r

[Issue] One Modbus RTU Slave Stops Responding After Several Months – Only Recovers After Power Cycle (STM32G4 / UART Interrupt)Hello ST Community,I’d like to ask for help with a real issue we're facing in the field.System Overview:We are using STM32G474 as a Modbus RTU slave.UART is configured in interrupt mode using hal uart receive it There are 5 slaves on the same RS485 line, with Modbus IDs 1 to 5.The master sends regular requests to all 5 slaves continuously.Possible Causes:We suspect that a UART error like Framing Error or Overrun may have occurred, which caused the UART peripheral to hang,We do not use HAL_UART_ErrorCallback(), and we do not call HAL_UART_Abort() in our code,In HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(), we always call HAL_UART_Receive_IT() again — so we believed it would keep working — but somehow it stops responding after a long time.Questions:Has anyone experienced a similar issue where a UART stops responding after months of operation?Should we always implement HAL_UART

In TTN, it says my gateway is connected to other cluster.I'm not able to change it to connected.  What should I do?

I have a led connected to PB3 pin (configured as output push-pull with low level by default) on STM32F103 and it turns on during debugger connecting and programming (i program empty flash) process and before the main program entering. I full erased flash then with STM32CubeProgrammer, but PB3 still raises high while debugger(ST-Link V2) is connected.After power toggling i downloaded under IAR debug with st-link other firmware and the pin behaves as expected (stays low).I also generated empty project with CubeMx (only external oscillator and SWD enabled) to see how PB3 would behave. After IAR debug session started it stays low. Hi everyone,I’ve designed a custom PCB using the STM32F411CEU6 and a USB-C connector, but my laptop (Device Manager) and STM32CubeProgrammer fail to detect it as a DFU device or CDC. The board powers up (3.3V LDO confirmed working), and basic SWD flashing works, but USB fails. USB-C Schematic:CC1/CC2: 1kΩ pull-downs to GND (per USB 2.0 Type-C specs).D+/D-: Connected to PA11/USB_DM and PA12/USB_DP.VBUS: Filtered through a ferrite bead (BLM21AG121SN1D) and 2.2µF decoupling caps.Boot Configuration: BOOT0: Pulled to GND via 10kΩ resistor (tested pulling high during reset).Clock: 8MHz crystal with 30pF load capacitors.DFU Entry: Tried BOOT0=1 + reset (via button). I'm working on a DMX communication project using an STM32 microcontroller (e.g., STM32G030K8T6TR).I have successfully implemented DMX data transmission.For reception, I have enabled USART RX interrupt using __HAL_UART_ENABLE_ITI’m using a keyboard to send values, for example setting channel 1 to 90, but in my code, I don’t receive 90 – I get random or incorrect values in the buffer.What I have verified:Baud rate is set to 250000 bps (DMX standard).USART settings: 8N2 (8 data bits, no parity, 2 stop bits).I’m watching the value stored in dmx_data[0] using live expressions in STM32CubeIDE.Question:Why am I receiving incorrect data?Could it be due to incorrect USART configuration, timing issues, or missing break detection in the DMX frame?How can I properly extract and identify channel data from the DMX stream (e.g., value for channel 1 when set to 90)?Any help or examples on proper DMX receive implementation would be appreciated! Hi,I bought an STM32L0538-DISCO MB1143B for an internal project.This is the first time i work with an e-paper and i am surprised by the refresh time of the display which is slower than i expected and could be an issue. I observe the refresh time of the display is highly dependant of the temperature:100° = 2.1s25° = 2.1s15° = 3.1s10° = 6.4sCould you confirm that is a "standard" refresh time for an e-paper ?Apart from temperature is there another way to reduce the refresh time ? Best Regards, 

Hi everyone,I have STM32 Nucleo F767ZI Board and OneRNG V3.0 by Moonbase. OneRNG is using USB Serial Protocol. When I connect OneRNG directly to PC through USB connector, open it's COM Port on Serial Monitor like Putty, send CMD "cmdO", it starts giving continuous stream of Random Numbers until I send "cmdo" to stop data stream reception. Now what I want is, instead of PC, I want use STM32 Nucleo F767ZI board with OneRNG using USB interface CDC VCP with Nucelo as Host and OneRNG as a device. OneRNG doesn't need any coding as it's already working with built-in firmware from the organization. I generated a code  default the usb device appears in device manager under ports as a virtual COM port. I'm trying to code the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q in the Arduino IDE and it uploads but won't run. I have the USB connected to USBPWR and the jumper connected to STLINK. I have a custom PCB using the STM32F042F. I replaced the STM, and now every time I connect the communication chip, the STM32 turns off. The STM does not boot if I first connect the nRF24L01 then power the STM.   I am confident my code and the board are not the issue, as it was functioning before I replaced the STM32 chip.   I think that some default configuration setting I am missing is causing the boards to short.   Does anyone have any ideas on how I can solve this issue?

We have to use 4 RS485 interfaces. The first RS485 interface mapped to UART 5 works fine with DE enabled. But we saw, that the same method of configuration for USART 1 and USART2  does not work properly.The DE signals will be continously high. As so, the receive will not work anyway.All transmitts over the serial interfaces are implemented via DMA. Dear ST team,I’m facing an issue with my STM32F407-based system connected to a LAN8742A Ethernet PHY. After performing either a software reset or hardware reset, the device fails to respond to ping requests. Hi,     I am debugging the SCT3288 HDK right now which is programmed with the STM32F405RGT6 microcontroller within it. While I was trying to debug the SCT3288 HDK, UART comport is not being detected because the firmware is got updated with some other file so I need to flash the required bin file to reset the MCU by using STM32 cube programmer application. Hello,I am using Nucleo-H7S3l8 board XSPI1 interface an using FPGA as slave. Is the XSPI drives only configured to work well with memories? Can other device be used as slave? I want to test FPGA by interfacing it to STM board. I am able to send the instruction that I intend to but when I configure some address then it seems to be not going correctly. Not sure what's happening but not able to capture on scope when address is configured. It seems to hang. What can be the issue? Some driver issue or missing configuration?Please suggest what might have gone wrong.Thanks,Samiksha
