Could you kindly share any reference schematics for SPI EEPROM M95P32-I interfacing with STM32 MCU preferably STM32U585?

I am writing code for the STM32F031K6T6 MCU using the Keil uVision. The IDE information is shown in the image below: The C/C++ options for Target are configured as shown here: I started a new project, selected the chip, and configured the run-time environment as below: I initialized the clock and configured the Flash registers for the appropriate latency. I tested the frequency using MCO and it seems correct. I also initialized some GPIOs, UART, and the SysTick. The peripheral registered is modified as expected as seen on the System View for the respective peripheral in the debugging mode.The problem is that some functions, such as functions for sending and receiving data via UART and some functions that use GPIO ports only work in debugging mode when I run the code line-by-line. If I click the run button the code gets stuck and the chip stops responding. I still see the VAL and CURRENT registers of the SysTick updating.This is an example of a function that works:void Sy

I'm using just LL drivers for my project, unfortunately eeprom_emul.c file function EE_Init needs stm32g0xx_hal_flash file with HAL_GetTick and HAL_FLASHEx_Erase funtion. What I'm doing wrong ? Is there any example without HAL level functions for EEPROM Flash emulation ?

Hi everyone,I have an STM32F103C8 and I want to programm it form Arduino IDE app.The board is booted and all neded addons are already installed from the board manager. I am using X-CUBE-EEPROM software to emulate EEPROM in flash memory of the MCU.It is running on STM32G070RB. This MCU has endurance only 1 kcycle.We would like to store only a few variables (about 10) to the virtual eeprom. I expect that the main application will modify these variables only couple of times.I found that the zeros (64bits) are written to the emulated eeprom on every restart during EE_Init (due to data recovery mechanism). It doesn't matter if the EE_Init is called with EE_FORCED_ERASE or EE_CONDITIONAL_ERASE. And it doesn't matter if some eeprom variable was modified from the last restart.Is it possible to remove writing of the zeros on every restart? E.g. If the device didn't modified any eeprom variable from the last restart? It means that there are already zeros from the last restart at the end of the virtual eeprom and they can be used for recovery mechanism if it would needed. Why it is necessary to write additional 64bit zeros?It can wear the emulated eeprom becaus

Dear Members,I am using bank 2 of STM32F767 to emulate eeprom, the example which comes with the Stm32CubeMX firmware package only use two pages, whereas i want to use 4 pages to have Wear-leveling. what i understood is i need to do lot of adaptation in the example code if i want to use more than 2 pages.I would be really grateful if you could please point me to any code example which has already adapted to use more than 2 pages.Please let me know if you need more informationThanks and best wishes

MCU: STM32L071cz Application : MDK-ARM essentials version 5.35 when I try to build large project. The "Build Output" window freezes at a random point in the build. uVision is still responsive but I can't stop the build or quit uVision. The only way out is "killing" uVision via Windows 10 task manager. Does anyone know the root cause for this?

Hi!I am working with a STM32L053 MCU. I would like to write to the internal eeprom, and based on the datasheet it takes 3.2 ms.I have doubts that during that time interrupts will be ignored. It is not clear for me why. I thought that the code is in the flash and the eeprom is independent from the flash. (Or maybe this EEPROM is not a real EEPROM, but emulated EEPROM in flash?)Best regards

We are using STM32U575VGT6 and declared some variables in SRAM4 region of MCU. But not able to see the values in watch or memory view of IAR IDE.Debug further and found that STM32U5xxxG.ddf file do not define address zones for SRAM4 region.If we add the SRAM4 region in .ddf file then we are able to see the SRAM4 data in watch and memory view.downloaded latest IDE_Patches from gitHub - STM32CubeU5/Utilities/PC_Software/IDEs_Patches/EWARM/EWARMv8_STM32U57x-58x_V1.3.zipBut same issue.Can you please fix this in next release so that we would not require to add SRAM4 region manually in .ddf file.Thanks in Advance !!

Hi support,I am working on a project that is using uC/OS-III running on STM32H750XB using IAR with Segger J-Link debugger.Recently we encounter a strange issue where reading a pointer (itsScanSampleAnnun) will return a wrong value intermittently. The value can be a random number and usually is an invalid address that will generate hard fault when accessing it.Thus, I added debug code to cache the pointer value in a static variable and break when their values are different.But, when I inspect the value of itsScanSampleAnnun in the Memory window, it is correct.By looking at the assembly code, the pointer value of bkPtr is loaded into R2 register and the pointer value of itsScanSampleAnnun is loaded into R3 register. As you can see below, the R3 register is having a wrong value. Not sure where and how the wrong value is getting loaded into the register.Appreciate if you can provide any advice to us. I'm working on a project using IAR (version 8.50.9)when I build the project, no errors. The map file reports``` 59'156 bytes of readonly code memory  2'741 bytes of readonly data memory 15'344 bytes of readwrite data memory```I can also see on the map file 6.18KB of program code and data is about right.When I run from the debugger using an IJet Pod, it uses a .sim file as an output file, its size is about 61.8KBHowever, when I build the project (after CleanAll), the output bin file size is 2MBAny help will be appreciatedthanks

Hello,I am working on a project with stm32h743zi2 Nucleo board in keil IDE. I want to communicate with a server via Ethernet the problem is that I can not get IP via from DHCP server via Dynamic Host Configuration. I use default compiler v6.0 and the sever I want to connect is ISC DHCP. I configured the Pins to Cube Mx in Very High Speed. Aslo the PHY Address of PHY chip (LAN8742A) is set to zero. The settings and the Network debugging are shown in below pictures. Any Ideas what is going on?Thanks In Advance,

Hello,When I clear eeprom byte to 0xff I count it as single clear. Now when I write value to this byte I count it as single write. So according to RM I have 100k of safe read write operations like that.Can I assume that writting single bit to this byte is one eighth of this write operation?so:Perform clear = byte is equal to 0xffWrite 0x7F = clear MSbWrite 0x3F = clear nex bitand so onwrite 0x01 = only one bit leftwrite 0x00 = whole byte is cleared.Can I assume above procedure as single clear/write cycle? And safely execute 100k times?I need to count and store 100000000 events in system (number of them). By using 8 bits for 100k cycles I only need 125 bytes to track those events. If I use uint32_t to store that I would have to use 4MB to safely store that event counter.I cant find in documentation if when I write byte, internal controller always clears this byte and writes new one, or just writes new value.Unfortunately I think, that always clear option is used becouse this looks like

Hi! I am working with STM32F722VET which has 3 i2cs in total. But in the HAL file \STM32F7xx_DFP\2.15.1\CMSIS\Driver\I2C_STM32F7xx.c there are function calls related to I2C4.For example, on line 1153: else /*(i2c->reg == I2C4)*/{ __HAL_RCC_I2C4_CLK_ENABLE(); }The __HAL_RCC_I2C4_CLK_ENABLE() macro is not defined in stm32f7xx_hal_rcc_ex.h so the project cannot be compiled.I'm using Keil with its device package manager and classic configuration (no cubeMX). Maybe I should include something to solve this problem?

1. Can we emulate the EEPROM mechanism using the on-chip Flash memory (Flash Emulated EEPROM) in the STM32F302 series?2. Went through the document "AN4894 Application note: EEPROM emulation techniques and software for STM32 microcontrollers", the STM32F302 is not listed under the Applicable STM32 Series Products Table.#EEPROM​  #Flash​ 

I am trying to migrate our current design from L031 to G031 for the additional 32K firmware space with the same pin layout. One of the requirements is to store integer counters in the flash memory, and the counters get updated roughly 50K times over the device life. We used to be able to do it easily with L031 "data EEPROM". But it seems that with G031 the flash memory requires page-erase before any rewrite update. Since the G031 flash has a 10K write limit, if each counter update requires a page erase, the limit will be reached very quickly. I am wondering if there is an equivalent "Data EEPROM" capability in G031 ? We found a X-CUBE-EEPROM emulator expansion but it seems at low level it still requires the same page erase operation.

I've been struggling with this for a while. Is there a good tutorial on how to setup and configure debug printf output? STM32H743 all parameters on pictures attached. No output on printf function + Trace: Data Overflow text in status bar. And on top of that HardFault after couple of seconds. Works good with trace disabled.

We have another problem with EEPROM emulation. We use STM32H723Z and store user configuration to flash as emulated EEPROM. I used driver from the H7 examples' directory as a basis.When we write the configuration heavily, after few days, there occurrs an ECC error and Hard Fault is hit. As the original driver didn't anticipate this, I added a code that after reset tries to read all the addresses and when HardFault due to ECC is detected, erase the whole offending sector, therefore the configuration is lost.Does anyone have any idea why the hard fault could happen? We will probably solve it by modifying our boards and using external EEPROM, but this is last resort to solve it this way. I think that there might be some bug in the driver but I cannot find it. I speculate that some of the writes can be interrupted for some reason?Karel

Hello everyone,My variable had a Runover even before it reached its range.Currently, I am working with timer 2 with a frequency of 90MHz. When I retrieved the current time by `__HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER()` and printed it by `printf("receive_time: %lu\n", (unsigned long)receive_time)`, the maximum the `receive_time` get is 16 bits although I declared it as 32 bits. I observed the printed value and it never exceeded 2^16 -1. I also tried to print with `printf("%" PRIu32 "\n",a);` but it also returned the same. I had another 32-bit variable `send_time` which is used later to subtract with `receive_time`. However, it gave me something in the order of 2*10^9 (2147482170 for example) besides some common values.I want to ask what happen and if I do something wrong. I'm trying to learn how to communicate via SPI with STM32 but I've run into some problems.The first step i took was to implement SPI communications using two arduino unos: the master writes a byte and the slave responds with another byte according to the input (when the master sends anything, triggering the exchange). Everything worked as it should to the best of my knowledge.The second step is the one I'm stuck at which is to replace the master arduino with a NUCLEO-F767ZI board. I've set up SPI1 using the auto generated code for now, and I've set it up with what I think are the default options. In the main, I send a single byte to the arduino, and this is where the problem starts:By using the serial port in the arduino I can see that it does receive data, but usually bit shifted. So if I send a 16, i usually get a 32 or other power of two in the arduino (see attached image)I'm using clock polarity 0 and clock phase 0 on both microcontrollers (so clock idle on low and sampling on the
