STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hello, I made a custom board using the STM32C031K4T6. I have tried several times now to connect to the chip using STM32 Cube IDE and the STM32 Programmer, both didn't work. The ST-Link gets recognized. I have tried different combinations regarding the Boot0 pin and the reset pin but I can't get it to work. I get the error message that no target was found. I also attached the schematic for the board.    

Custom board will not run without debugger.  With debugger removed and cycling power I have manually touch NRST to ground to get it to run.The NRST is only connected to SWD pin, but when debugger is removed it is not connected.  Theis is no ST-LINK on the board.  The NRST does measure 3.3 volts after power up.I do use BOOT0 pin as an output.  It is configured low with pull down in .IOC  (could this be issue?)Debugger is set to hardware reset, but I have tried all resets. Debugger is set to break at main (not sure if it is trying to break at main without debugger attached?)  I tried to not break at main and will not run with or without debugger.I also put HAL_DELAY(3000); after Hal_init(),  no difference.Here is how my clocks are set: Any suggestions on why it will not run?

Hi,I am looking for an LCD Touch display for B-U585I-IOT02A Discovery kit but I could not find any. Is this possible to connect a local Touch LCD screen to the B-U585I-IOT02A Discovery kit? It looks like the STM32U585AI MCU does not contain any display accelerator but is it possible to connect a touch display via Arduino connectors? Thanks!Louis 

Hi,    Could you list NUCLEO-H753ZI board's ADC1/2 ADC3 channel Index with GPI/O Pin assignment table with the connector name / pin index on the board, using channel number as the index    It is very difficult to configure CUBEMAX-ADC without this Table. We are using STM32CubeIDE to configure the STM32 controller. Previously, flashing the code to the board was working fine. Recently, while trying to debug, the IDE started showing this error: "Failed to execute MI command""Error in initializing ST-LINK device" We tried upgrading the ST-LINK driver, and the controller responded to the host. In STM32 ST-LINK Utility, we could select the External Loader, which means the connection seemed okay.However, when we tried to erase the flash using ST-LINK Utility, we got:"Target not connected" We tried many solutions in STM32CubeIDE, but we could not identify the root cause. Could anyone please help us understand what might be going wrong?

sub: Power Supply Review for STM32U5A5QJI6Q in our SchematicHi, I’m currently working with the STM32U5A5QJI6Q microcontroller and would appreciate some help reviewing the power supply section of our schematic. Specifically, we are unsure whether it’s correct to leave the following pins unused:VDDUSB – We are not using the USB functionality, so we haven’t connected this pin. Is this fine, or do we need to connect it to any power source?VDDA – We are not using the analog features of the MCU and haven’t connected this pin. Should we tie it to VDD or leave it unconnected (or is there another recommendation)?Could anyone take a look at the power supply area of our schematic and let us know if everything looks correct, or if we should make any changes?  

Hello, I am currently working with a STM32 development board that I am using to power (and code) a PCB that has an stm32 chip. So far, it has been working properly but I recently connected the PCB to a display (Newhaven display: LINK) and now the "overcurrent" LED is lighting up on the STM32 development board. Once I disconnect the display, it goes back to normal. Please refer to the pictures attached below. Additionally, please note that the display doesn't turn on and idk if it is due to the "overcurrent" issue. I am using a FFC Jumper cable and I'm pretty sure that it is connected properly. I am sending 3.3V to the PCB which should be fine.Please help me as I am really confused. With the display connected:Without the display:The display:  

Hello nice people. I am supposed to develop a board that will have 2 STM MCUs (STM32F334 and STM32F01).Is it anyways possible to be able to program both MCUs (simultaneously or individually) using a single SWD port. I know how to do it using JTAG chain (TDI -> TDO .....) but i don't know if it is also possible using SWD. Asking because many new processors don't support JTAG anymore but only SWD. THe aim is to use one programming port for both MCUs because of space restrictions.Thanksasrar

Hi All, I am facing a strange issue with the STM32H7S78-DK.I am using STM32CubeIDE for all of these tests (Version: 1.17.0, Build: 23558_20241125_2245 (UTC)) and of course STM32CubeMX (Version: 6.13.0-RC5 Build: 20241122-0809 (UTC)).Basically when using a STM32CubeMX generated project with default peripherals, HAL_SD_Init fails. The root issue is that HAL_SD_Init -> HAL_SD_InitCard -> SD_PowerON -> SDMMC_CmdGoIdleState -> SDMMC_GetCmdError times out. After a lot of confusion and testing I figured out that this issue seems to be linked to using a freshly generated STM32CubeMX project for the board in which you select "Initialize all peripherals with their default Mode", although this isn't always the case. Here's what I have tested and the results: If I generate a project using STM32CubeMX with only the Appli project, select NO to "Initialize all peripherals with their default Mode?" and then go through the process documented here on GitHub and I use

I'm trying program FLASH via serial bootloader using  STM32WL55 USART1 The an2606 indicates thatUSART-RX is PA10 pin, connected to CN7-32USART-TX is PA9 pin, connected to CN10-19I connected the BOOT0 pin to 3.3VIf after reset I send 0x7f to LPUART via ST-LINK VCOMM I get ACK (0x79) backBut if after reset I send 0x7F to PA10 using external FTDI232 adapter I'm not getting anything back.  If I check level of PA9 it shows 200mV (the PA10 is 3.3V) with FTDI connected and 0V with FTDI disconnectedThe loopback test on FTDI is working fine, so I don't suspect FTDI malfunctioningI suspect my board is not properly configured, but could not see anything that would affect PA9 and PA10 configuration. Can it be an error in a board documentation, I already spotted one error in table 18, it shows both CN10-35 and CN1-37 connected to PB6, which is probably wrong, one of them must be PB7.  

Hello,I am trying to program STM32F411CEU6 based board using STM32Cube Programmer. If I try to flash the file through DFU mode it gives an errorErasing internal memory sectors [0 1]sector 0000 does not existsector 0001 does not exist Programming through UART with an FTDI adapter works without any problem.

I Recently bought a STM32F411CEU6 . It was working fine till i shorted two pins by mistake.The STM IDE says no target found when i try to upload the code .Only the power LED turns on but the USER LED doesn't.(The ST-Link still detects my Blue pill properly)Have i Killed it ?Please help me out

First and foremost, as of this point I know virtually nothing about these MC's but through this project, I'm hoping to learn. What I'd like to get some assistance on is just a few basic pointers and perhaps direction so that I'm not chasing my tail.The project is to enable an instrument cluster from a slightly newer vehicle (2003) be used in a slightly older vehicle (2002). Most of the gauges will work by simply re-pinning the connector, but there are 2 gauges that require a PCM swap and tuning to get working, the volts gauge and the oil pressure gauge. As best I can tell, both the 2002 and 2003 rely on Class 2 serial data, interpreted by the PCM, to feed these 2 gauges. So I want to bypass the PCM, have this data from sensors feed into this hypothetical module I want to build, which will then correctly display the data I want to see on these 2 gauges.I hope this clearly explains the goal and the hurdle that exists. Hello, We have been using this Processor for very long time in our 2 project stream.We are planning to use this part again, but for application suitability we need to verify this product as per our requirement.So, i wanted to ask is there any Evaluation board available for this part, STM32G0B1CET6N

 I am wondering if ST could add a 3D model of the STLINK-V3 MINIE itself to the "CAD Resources". Currently, there are only STL files for ST's enclosure, but it would be helpful to have the 3D model of the PCBA itself to design other enclosures.

Hello,we have purchased multiple Nucleo H723ZG and H7A3ZI-Q. Since the beginning, connection problems with ST-Link are plaguing the project. It is impossible to reliably debug, because connection with the host can't be established via USB. We have checked all possible sources (like different computers, cables, docks, ports, software, et.c.), but the issue sporadically appears, even with brand new boards out of the box, which costs money.  Other users face similar issues and I wonder what steps ST wants to take.Best regards
