i have STM32103RBT6, i want to use all three UARTs for a project. i want to use UART2 thorugh PA2 and PA3. The connection are : SB61, SB62 and SB63 are open. SB13 & SB14 are open as well. Continuity is there between SB62 & SB62 to TX on ST link (from track side) & between SB63 to RX on ST link (from track side). No continuity between  PA2 and PA3 with SB13 & SB14. can anyone tell me how to use UART2 from the PA2 and PA3? i want to use it for modbus but the transmission is failing. 

Two STM32H743 series MCUs are on a single board and they communicate using SPI. When SPI clock frequency is more than 1.5 Mhz, SPI communication is not working properly. The distorted clock signal waveforms at high frequencies are attached below.A 51E series resistor is connected on all 4 signals.The trace length is almost 35mmI tried reducing the series resistors from 51E to 33E and 20E. No much difference was observed in the waveforms. What can be done? 1. CLK freq = 1.5MHz2. CLK freq = 3.125MHz 3. CLK freq = 6.25MHz4. CLK freq = 12MHz

Hello everyone,I have designed a custom board using the STM32F407VGT6, and I have connected a 3V coin cell battery (CR2032) to the V_BAT pin as shown in the schematic below:V_BAT Circuit Details:A 3V battery is directly connected to the V_BAT pin.A 0.1µF capacitor (C14) is placed across V_BAT and GND.V_BAT is connected directly to the STM32.However, I am facing an issue where I do not measure any voltage at the V_BAT pin on my board. It seems like the battery is not supplying power to the backup domain.Why am I not getting voltage on the V_BAT pin?Are there any hardware design issues with my schematic?Is there any special configuration required in firmware to enable the backup domain power?I have attached my schematic for reference.

Hello. For a couple months now, I have been trying to get the microphone on the STM32F407-g Discovery board to work. It started out as a minor part of a self-guided course, but now it's turned into a personal quest. The farthest I've gotten so far is receiving random noise (totally random: an equal rate of 1s and 0s) into an audio buffer. Now I'm at the point where I've wired up a logic analyzer and am seeing exactly that noise coming from the microphone itself.After two malfunctioning examples of the STM32F407, I ordered a third and was extra careful to only handle it with an anti-static wrist strap clipped to the bottom USB port. I loaded the program and got the same result:The rising and falling edges of the data signal do closely follow the clock signal:Furthermore, all three signals disappear if I remove the call to `BSP_AUDIO_IN_Record(&audioBuffer, 128)` from my main.c. So it looks to me that this really is the signals going into and coming back from the audio sensor.Granted

When I have the HC-06 powered from the board (either 3.3V or 5V) & try to upload to the board I get, Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target. Yet when I unhook the module from the board everything uploads fine.So, I uploaded to check my debug serial connection without the HC-06 connected, all fine.Hook up the module, no debug . Its as if connecting it up to the power on the board knocks out the USB-ST-Link. When I plug into the 5V - debug drops, LED3 goes out & LED1 starts flashing.When I plug into to 3.3V - debug stops but the LEDs remain on.I've swapped out the HC-06 module but I still get the same behaviour, All power is being supplied by the US-ST-Link  

I'm trying to receive data through USART1 using STM32F407. I decided to not use HAL api's to achieve that, so I'm receiving character by character and storing them in an array. Every character I send is received correctly but apart from the actual data I'm receiving an extra character in the first position of the buffer. It sometimes is a 'p' , sometimes a '\n' . Hello, I am attempting in voltage stacking of 2 STM32WB55 board, but unlike arduino I could not connect Top board's GND to bottom board's 3.3 V pin. I would like to request for help or insights for alternative method I could make it work. I would really appreciate the help. Problem1. When I connect the Top STM32 GND to the VDD of Btm STM32, it discharged the voltage in Btm capacitor.2. On one attempt I rearranged the circuit in similar stacked configuration, it did not discharged the Btm capacitor voltage. Instead the system goes haywire.Thank you.

I'm using the NUCLEO-F412ZG board.I need to be able to flash the program using USART 2. I'm using the standard Open Bootloader that comes from the factory on the board, and STM32CubeProgrammer v2.18.0.I'm connecting to the USART 2 pins with USB to "TTL" adapter 3.3V levels, direct wired (crossover) on pins PD5 and PD6.If I tie the BOOT pin to a 3V3 pin on CN8, and power up the board, STM32CubeProgrammer has no problem connecting to the board/bootloader.  But if I press the reset button (or connect NRST to low and then disconnect it) STM32CubeProgrammer can no longer connect to the board/bootloader.I have tried this with both powering from the ST-Link USB connector, and through VIN with an external 6V power adapter.Does anyone know why it won't get into the proper bootloader mode when doing a reset instead of cycling the power?Thank you,Chris

Hello, I am having a huge problem with my development board that has a stm32f103 and STM32H757IIT6 on board.The stm32F103 works perfectly. However, I have a problem with the H757.... I have a 3.3v power supply fed to it and decoupling resistors for each:Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors MLCC - SMD/SMT 50V 0.1uF X7R 0402 10%:- VDD 100nF- VDDA 100nFMultilayer Ceramic Capacitors MLCC - SMD/SMT KGM05HR50J475MH NEW GLOBAL PN 6.3V 4.7uF A 581-:- VDDLDO 4.7uF:The H757 has 3 VCAP outputs and each has a 2.2uF capacitor:Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors MLCC - SMD/SMT 2.2 uF 10 VDC 10% 0402 X7R.The power supply on the board is stable at 3.18v all the timeI can connect via ST-LINK to STM32F103 without any problem.STM32H757 does not respond....According to the documentation the VCAP should be 1.1v so something worked but I don't know exactly what.... I wanted the H757 to work in LDO mode.In addition, I connected VDD33_USB and VDD50_USB to 3.3v (yes I know, it was ***) I cut the paths already to VDD50 and

Hello! I've designed a PCB using STM32F407vgt6 but I cannot get it to connect using ST-LINK/V2 via the SWD interface. When I try to connect using STM32 ST-LINK Utility, I get the following error: Can not connect to target!"Connect Under Reset" mode from Target->Settings menu and try again.If you're trying to connect to a low frequency application , please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from Target->Settings menu.No target connectedNeither suggestion in the error message solves the issue.I have confirmed the ST-LINK/V2 adapter works because it connects to STM32F407-DISC1, which also uses STM32F407vgt6, using STM32 ST-LINK Utility and ST-LINK/V2 via SWD with no issue.I've confirmed that the SWDIO pins, power, NRST and BOOT0 and BOOT1 are connected correctly per the wiring diagram using a multimeter and inspected all other solder joints and they all look okay. I also tried adding in 10K pullups to 3.3V on SWDIO and SWCKL but it didn't help so they are removed in the picture.

I’m preparing my computer for an upcoming STM32WB55 webinar.For 3 days I have installed, uninstalled, system restore wipe, and re-install again the latest CubeIDE, CubeMX, CubeProgrammer, and ST-LINK “USB driver (STSW-LINK009) is for ST-LINKV2, ST-LINKV2-1 and STLINK-V3�?.I created an example project; it builds fine, but at the time of debugging CubeIDE never sees the ST-LINK. However I can take the resulting *.bin or *.elf from the project’s Debug folder and flash it with CubeProgrammer and run the example in the board (STM32WB5MM-DK in my case).Also with CubeProgrammer I was able to upgrade the ST-LINK firmware in the STM32WB5MM-DK to the latest.So although CubeProgrammer can see and program the board fine, CubeIDE won’t see the ST-LINK probe.Please help.

Hi,I'm going to say that this is a really nooby question, however I cannot find the answer anywhere.Background, I'm using a nucleo F103RB, and I've programmed it using CubeIDE. I can connect the board, debug and  run the program fine. The board is powered via Vin at the correct voltages, with JP1 disconnected and JP5 set to E5V.I need to be able to run this program immediately after the board powers on, without a USB connection. How do I upload a release build of my program to it, because whenever I try using cubeprogrammer, it doesn't run the program after it has restarted. When I've tried dragging and dropping the .elf file in, it's given me a write error.Thanks in advance for your help,P

Hello I just bought the STM32L152C-DISCO board. The board worked with its original firmware, but I can't use it with CubeIDE to create my own programs. I create empty STM32project using Board Selector option:  I made a simple program to make the LEDs on the board blink, but it cannot be debugged.   The program downloads correctly, but this message appears: The board appears to be resetting, because the LEDs are blinking very fast, as if the program were continually restarting. On the other hand, are there any example programs for cubeIDE with this board? I downloaded this file, but the examples are for other IDEs, it doesn't have CubeIDE projects: STM32Cube_FW_L1_V1.10.0 Can anyone help me?Thanks

When I try to debug from CubeIDE, I get this error.But I can connect with STLink-Util and flash a firmware just fine.What does this claim there was "no device" on target, mean exactly?The firmware has worked previously, but there is a bug now in my firmware that makes it hang after doing some expected things I see on the uart output, and I'd like to debug it - but that does not work now.The firmware does not (explicitly) reconfigure the SWD pins or something like that.
