STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hi Community, I have recently purchased Nucleo H7A3ZI board and while trying to connect through Stm Cube Programmer i have found that it is not detecting target itself. What is possible reason for this? 1. Port is getting detected in laptop2. Stlink connecetion is visible3. serial number is showing when connecting4. Target voltage is 3.29 V5. St link firmware update is also working (with red light blinking and successful with green light)6. USB cable i have changed multiple: same result7. Tried with holding reset but no use8. tried with different configurations given on stm cube programmer, still no luck. here are the screen shots of all these:   

it's been week since I stuck on this problem, I have a board like this , SPI3 MOSI PB5 is connected to ic 74HC594s to drive LEDs, and MISO PB4 is connected to 74AC165D to get the four SW (buttons) for input purpose, and the PB3 for clock on both ICs. I have succeed in using SPI to output numbers on LEDs via 74HC594 so I known that the SPI was up and running correctly. Now with the 74HC165, the basic idea is similar to the 594, start the SPI, wait for it to complete, than get the data. is there anyone who worked with the MB1400 Wi‑Fi module or has an idea about it? I'm working with the STM32H7 Nucleo-144 board and I need to add a Wifi module, I find a problem when connecting the module to the card I can't understand how to match the pins. Can you help please 

i am using STM3210E Eval board which has STM32F103 uC i am trying to recorded some adc value over the period of long time but with the time. I am using RTC to achieve that so that even in case pf power loss the adc might not get measured but the time stays correct. As per my cell holder's size in the board i am using CR1220 button cell of 3V and have changed the jumper to give cell volatge to VBAT of uC but the values i am getting out of RTC is not correct. It does stays even if main supply is off but the value itself is not correct for example it's seconds goes upto 90 and then next min comes up but on measuring that 90 seconds is actually 60s only where few steps are missed to like after72 it's directly 80. I haven't checked for min,hr and more but even so the value is totally incorrect. i mean just look at below.i mean how can the year go to 36 and date to 41 and hours 33!!!. i mean why is it like this what changes do i need to make to get it rightPS: i had programmed it 2 days ago

Hi I am using Nucleo H7A3ZIQ board. I want to generate two sine waves of different frequencies on the DACs of the board. I followed the instructions from this youtube video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Z1L6ox63j0. I was able to generate sine wave on one DAC (DAC Channel 1). But I copied the same and added the second channel but I am not getting the sine wave in the second channel. I have attached the main.c file in the attachment. Can anyone please help me with this?

Hi, I want to connect an external RAM through the FMC interface to my STM32H753ZI controller. I am making a board that is adapted to ZIO connectors in the KICAD software and the problem is that PIN PF12 can only be connected from ST morpho connector or can be soldered from (SB37) the problem is that it can only be changed to PIN PF4 which is also part of the FMC interface. In the pin diagram on the Mbed.com website I actually see that there is a pin called PF12 and it is in the ZIO connectors. Is it possible to connect only through the ZIO connectors? 

I've checked the documentation tab on the product page and also in the user manual, but can not find it.Is it available somewhere?Thanks,josh

Hi all,The project is under Nucleo-G474RE board using STM32CubeIDE.I am trying to use ADC1 in continuous conversion mode but unfortunately the code hangs at while((ADC1->ISR & ISR_EOC)!= 1){} loop.as i am checking the conversion to be finished and then checking the conversion result on DR register. Your suggestions/advices are highely appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,I am trying to use DCMI to connect the camera and display the video on LCD by LTDC. But it seems to me STM32CubeIDE does not allow me to active both DCMI and LTDC at the same time, because PA6 pin conflicts. And it seems the PA6 cannot be mapped to any other pin under DCMI and LTDC on the board Nucleo-H743ZI2. Does anyone have the same experience? How to use DCMI and LTDC at the same time? If the ST new released board does not have this conflict issue? thx.  

Hello Everyone, 1.I have the Nucleo NUCLEO-H743ZI board.I have powered it up and it performs as advertised.I want to experiment and make some changes to the board programming.I searched st.com site and found the file with all the demo software.It was a huge 530+ megabyte Zip file.I downloaded it and extracted it and found the files specifically for my Nucleo board.I ran CubeMX and tried to "load" or "import" the project file for CubeMX.As I understand this it, the CubeMX project file has an extension:    .iocUnfortunately I cannot find it.I used a file utility and searched hard disk for all of the files of all the demo software ( 1.1 gigabyte unzipped ) and there are no   .ioc   files at all!Am I missing something? Sadly, after reading various similar posts on this forum, I think that the Demo app was NOT developed with CubeMX so there is no file:   .ioc   Question:  Am I correct?    2.OK, so give

I want to read the serial output from the STM32 F405 Feather using the SWV on Cube Programmer, but I do not receive Serial output from the board. Hi,I making a product that has the STM32U5 running from a battery, most of the time being in one of the low power modes. I can use the debugger to .. debug my code, step through it, use SWO etc, and this all works great. However, as long as the debugger is connected, the MCU draws +- 300uA constant current in all sleep modes, while if we are in the sleep mode without the debugger ever having been connected, this is +- 3uA. If I simply power cycle the MCU after my debugging session, all is fine, and I can enter the low power modules without issue. BUT, once I attach with my debugger (which then enables all the SWD registers), I cannot "disable" this high power usage anymore.(Toggling the nRST pin does not turn off SWD etc) This is "good".. in the sense that we can use the debugger to follow through lots of events, and even detect resets, but this is "bad", in the usecase where I'd like to run my device in low power for most of the time, and sporadically connect the debugg

Hello, i am trying to run a simple code that toggles the built-in led when i press the built-in user button. I wanted to do this manually using HAL library functions, but for some reason i do not seem to get it right somewhere. The code generated using CubeMX software works, but when i try to code it on my own, i cannot turn the led on. This is the code, and it already is very similar to the code that mx generated. Hi, I am using the STM32H563ZIT6 microcontroller and trying to interface it with an internal DAC to a speaker through an external MCP601 op-amp. I am generating a sine wave on that DAC pin, but it is producing some noise in the speaker. I am unsure how to properly generate sound with the speaker using the hardware setup shown in my connection diagram. Can anyone please advise me on how to generate sound on the speaker using the hardware setup below? Note: Small correction: We are using 5V for the speaker; the remaining setup is unchanged.

I have a 3d printer with a Btt skr pro v1.2 motherboard. The Sd card slot is non functional so looking to update the firmware directly.can I use a st-link v2 to upload the firmware from the pc to the motherboard? the motherboard has a stm32 controller chip, but I don’t believe it has a bootloader!

Hi, I'm encountering a general issue with DMA on the STM32H743 processor. I'm having trouble with SPI and I2C communication when using multiple integrated devices. For instance, when attempting SPI DMA communication with the W5500 integrated circuit, it's not working. Can you assist me with resolving this problem?

Please confirm the default state of BOOT1 pin state through nBOOT1 bit for BOOT configuration. How can we pre-configure nBOOT1 bit for BOOT configuration?

Hello everyone, I am a student who is fairly new to these concepts so I wanted to pick your brains for a bit if you'll allow me to. I have done some research and found that STM32F4 is compatible with AT commands if we use external hardware. However, I am stuck on what to use. ESP8266 and ESP32 seem like fairly popular choices. I also researched and found that good alternatives for those are: nRF52840, C3200, CC3220. Then I found out about SoCs (system on chip) but I think that is a bit too advanced for a beginner, I'll try those out when I have grown more familiar with this. Hello everyone. I am getting started with SPI and am here with what I believe to be a pretty simple mistake or oversight on my part that I am just not seeing. For the first part of this project, I wish to create a file named "write.txt" on my SD card using just my code in the NUCLEO-F411RE [though I believe the board I use doesn't make much of a difference as long as it is in the STM32F family(?)]. I am using SPI1 for this project (I disabled the LED attached to the SCK pin) and have decided to use pin PB2 as my CS--set the pin as a standard I/O). Hi Community,I'm new to working with STM32 microcontrollers and I'm encountering a challenge when transmitting data through SPI on my STM32 Nucleo board.
