Hey, I'm having some issues with setting up clocks for my STM32F411CEU custom board with HAL.Using PLLCLK from HSI ends up with Hardfault, around where RCC is being configured.The only way I don't get hardfaults is:1) if I set System Clock Mux to HSI instead of PLLCLK, but then it runs on 16Mhz which is way too slow for me.2) I set System Clock Mux to PLLCLK and clock to something lower than 50Mhz.I tried making an empty project, just initialization, and have the same issues. This happens on two different boards. I'm starting to suspect that JLCPCB sent me some fake ICs..Shouldn't internal clock be the most "safe" and "should always work" option?

Hello, I am trying to send a message using SPI DMA. I also enabled UART DMA. When both of them are executing, SPI DMA does not work. I implemented SEmaphore Mutex as well. I'm using an STM32H747XI Discovery board for testing. Hello everyone!I have a problem with filling the buffer with data when I receive it via UART using an interrupt. I use a microcontroller of the STM32G03 series. Packets are sent at a frequency of 4 times per second. As a result, the buffer is filled not from the first byte, but somehow randomly (from the middle, from the end, and sometimes coincides with the first byte). Although the order of the bytes is correct. The packet size is 15 bytes. It seems that the synchronization is broken. What could be the reason?I would be grateful for the answer!

Hi I want to understand Rx message process in case of can2. Rx fifo code I have tested when I used only CAN1 it is working fine. Hi all!I have NUCLEO stm32G474RE board, and I am playing with HRTIM.I am trying to take advantage of fault logic, found in HRTIM module.HRTIM can have GPIO hardware input, which can shut down all HRTIM outputs, without any software overhead.Now, I would like to trigger this fault logic, but from software. I can shut down HRTIM from software the „usual“ way, but that is multistage process, first one needs to disable counters, then disable outputs, then force all outputs to zero, shut down all interrupts, and so on...I want to read the value of an adc, and if this value is above some threshold, active the fault. Is it possible to do that, and if so, anyone know how to do it?

Today, for the first time I tried to set up RTC alarm using STM32U5G9 MCU. I need RTC alarm (IRQ) to fire on every second change, that is, when subsecond counter is zero - it is configured to count 32kHz clock pulses from 32k to 0 using 15-bit subsecond register which should zero exactly every one full second.Probably what needs to be done is this: 1. alarm needs to enabled, 2. subsecond SS mask needs to be set to 14:0 (all 15 bits are compared), 3. RTC IRQ needs to be enabled, 4. within ISR alarm has to be reset (RTC_SCR_CALRAF) or auto-clear (RTC_CR_ALRAFCLR) flag needs to be set in advance (sAlarm.FlagAutoClr = ALARM_FLAG_AUTOCLR_ENABLE).The above does not work, RTC IRQ does not fire even once. RTC date/time works OK so it is not a clock issue.Please advice. What am I missing?I am familiar with ST Wiki publication on this subject here b

I need to use a USB Virtual COM (CDC) for a MtoM data transfer with a Windows PC I set up BSP with STMCubeMx and compiling/debuging with Keil V5 with an STlink V2 in SWD mode board and microcontrolers are powered by USB all look's working great when I make a hard reset (just fresh power up) but if I try to make a soft reset like when entering in debug despite Virtual Com Port is well enumerated on windows side it could not open com port and no Usb transmit can be done on target side becase of Usb Device descriptor not defined in Usb Midle ware does anyone faced the same issue or somthing similare ? I tried to use USBLyser to see what's wrong but I must admit I've not seen something particular when doing soft reset thank's for any help

Hello, ST experts It seems that OTG_USB_DP pin had some problems when this pin is forced to be set to GPIO when connected to USB host. The resistance between this pin and GND is serveral mega Ohm before OTG_USB_DP is forced to be a GPIO. And then it might be show a low resistance of about 100Kilo Ohm. So I want to check the I/O structure of this pin. Merry ChristmasYang

Hello,at I2C slave transmission, the master stops the communication with a NACK and some µseconds later followed by a STOP.If my slave uC is slowly clocked this works. The calling of the I2C Irq handler takes enough time, to see NACK and STOP at the same time. In that case, I know that it is an expected behaviour and the NACK isn't an error.My question is, if I run the uC at full speed, I assume there is the risk, that the slave will see only NACK, because the stop event is still not detected. Then slave would handle it wrongly as an error.  Therefore, I assume checking for NACK + STOP isn't 100% correct ?Are th

Hi, We are in the designing phase of a STM32H7 board which will control a RGB24 display. To check which package would suit are needs the best we would like to see the RGB pinout on different MCU's. But for some reason I don't find the LTDC interface at the multimedia tab of these H7 controllers.  If I open the boardfile of the H7 discovery board with display I do see the LTDC interface at the multimedia tab. When we start a plain stm32H7S3L8HxH cubemx project. How to enable the LTDC interface? Best regards

I am working with Cube, over HAL library, implementing a DMA mem-to-peripheral interface in double buffer mode.STM32H755I have two inputs: EXTI0 as a trigger, and LPTIM2 as a clock.DMA is configured to output a byte through GPIO D0 through D7I need to initiate an 18 bytes transfer (out to peripheral) each time EXTI0 is triggered (rising edge), each byte needs to be with the rising edge of LPTIM2.Setting Sync with EXTI0 as a synchronization signal, with "Request Number" 18 (which yields NBREQ = 17), and "DMA Request Generator Signal" LPTIM2 OUT yields a single word output (instead of 18) every EXTI0 trigger,I tried setting Request Number to 18 (NDTR=17) in the DMA Request Generator settings but there is no change.I also tried reversing the EXTI0 to be the source of the request generator and LPTIM2 the synchronization signal - but I am still getting the same resultThanks 

I am trying to use stm32F446 as a master I2C device with LL library and I have 2 main issues.1. I working on motor control application with stm32g484ret6.Timer1 generates 3 PWM lines with complementary lines (with some deadtime) in center aligned mI have ADC readings to sample the phases current.Timer1 output trigger TRG0 is defined as update event, and the ADC external trigger conversion source is defined as Timer1 Trigger Out event.However, in this configuration the ADC is triggered twice for each PWM period - once in the middle of the ON time, and one in the middle of the OFF time.I want to receive only a single trigger for the ADC per PWM period (in the middle of either the on or off time) as the ADC conversion complete callback calls to my entire control algorithm.How can I config it?Thank you

Hello to all developers!)I am interested in the following question: is it possible to use the pins of the STM32G031J6M6 microcontroller first for programming (SWCLK, SWDIO), and then for another functionality, for example for UART?Maybe there is some separate programming mode and a separate functional mode? Or for example, do I need to use Reset to perform programming? I know that the PIC10 microcontroller uses the same pins for programming and performing functions.I would be grateful for the answer!!!

Hi,does the STM32H563ZIT6 have an LDO and/or an SMPS? Contrary to other micros, I cannot find any table or details about it other than the block diagram common to the whole family (screenshot below) and it says "LDO and/or SMPS". Im new to the STM32Cube IDE and trying to make a project with CDMI, the minimal idea is to take a picture on button click and send it to a PC via UART.This is not working, the I2C comunication is working and im getting both HAL_DCMI_LineEventCallback() and HAL_DCMI_VsyncEventCallback() triggering. The HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback() is never called and im always getting Buffer Error since (i belive) the image size is 320*240*3 and my buffer can only reach 65535.How can i aproach this problem?    Output UNSAM Space Snap Author: Marco A. Hi Community,I’m having an issue with connecting the STMStudio application.When I plug the programmer USB into the computer, the connection works without any problems. Hello, I am a little advanced STM32 user, but I quite struggle with eMMC memory and STM32F7 (on custom board with STM32F756I and Samsung's 32GB eMMC KLMB2G2JENB-041 in the 8-bit MMC interface). Optionally I can solder STM32H753I which is pin-to-pin compatible.I read many documents (including the JEDEC specs) on the topic but still can't get it to work. I use the CubeIDE generated init code.
