Hi,I'm thinking what is the right way to clear HRTIM interrupt status register (HRTIM_ISR) bits?In the description of the HRTIM_ISR register STM32G4 reference manual (RM0440 Rev 8 page 1041) says: This bit is set by hardware when fault 1 event occurs. It is cleared by software writing it at 1.This gives the impression that you can clear HRTIM_ISR bits by writing to this register (HRTIM_ISR)Then again bits of this register are read only ('r')?Then we also have HRTIM interrupt clear register (HRTIM_ICR) (RM0440 Rev 8 page 1042) where we have separate bits to clear HRTIM_ISR bits.So, which is the right way to clear HRTIM_ISR bits? Or can you clear these bits both ways?

Hello to all I would like to use the eMMC that comes with my board (STM32H745I-Disco) but I'm a bit lost. where can I look for examples?I would like to keep a simple structure to start with and then read it. I've been looking at the information on the flash organization in the Reference manual RM0456 for STM32U5.  In particular I'm trying to understand how the DUALBANK flag works on this family.In section 7.3.1, there is this table for STM32U5G with 4MB of internal flashIn the note (1) it mentions that with DUALBANK = 1 in option bytes (which should be the default as far as I have understood), the base address for bank 2 is 0x0810_0000. But this means that bank 1 is now only 1MB.  So are the two banks overlapped?Also it is not clear to me what happens to the page size when using dual/single bank?  Is it doubled?

I am not able to activate LWIP middleware for M7 core on any dualcore STM32. (I am able to do it on single-core devices and  already have LWIP working on H743 Nucleo)Steps I have done (exactly in this order):- create a new project for STM32H757IITx in CubeIDE- agree usage of default configuration of speculation processing- enable SYS -> Cortex_M7 -> I cache- enable SYS -> Cortex_M7 -> D cache- enable ETH and configure it for M7 core with RMII- enable FreeRTOS_M7- enable LWIP for Cortex M7 in the sidebar. Now I can see the second bar for LWIP. Runtime context M7 is checked but it is not possible to check "enable" checkbox to activate LWIP. When I put the mouse on the enable checkbox, I can see a warning that "D-cache must be enabled on M7 to use LWIP". But the problem is that D-cache is already enabled. I have been working on a self learning project with STM32G431 controller. I connected this resonator https://jlcpcb.com/parts/componentSearch?searchTxt=C341522  And the code runs.  - however - USB fails to enumerate.If I upload the same code to a BluePill board, the code runs *and* the USB works.I suspect it being due to something is off with the resonator, and the F103 is self-oscillated.  (which would be unsupported for USB use.) How can I verify that the ceramic resonator actually is being used?

Hello Community, I am planning to use I2C operating at 1kHz maximum on STM32G4 & STM32G0 series for measuring temperature from Digital Temperature sensors placed at 2m distance from the main board in an industrial environment using CAT6 (STP) Cables with SCL & SDA paired with Grounds. I have options to operate this I2C bus at 3.3V or at 5V. The Temperature sensor has an inbulit hysteresis of 600mV. I want to understand the use & any feedback based on experince of the community members on the I2C Digital Filters. (I can set the I2C-CLK to 4Mhz & then configure the Coefficient of the Digital filter to a value of 10-15 to maximimize the glitch filtering) Can I simply interface a 5V I2C bus signal directly to the MCU pins (assuming 5V tolerant inputs)? I will be using TVS diodes on I2C connectors on the PCB for ESD & EFT protection. W

I have just spun up some prototype boards for a project I am working on, and I am unable to program the MCU.I am using STM32CubeProrgammer on Windows, but have also tried Linux flashing utilities such as OpenOCD. I can read data (all F) in both cases, but not erase or flash the MCU.When attempting to connect, I can only connect if I am in "HotPlug" mode, otherwise I get an error saying "While trust zone is enabled please try connecting via HotPlug mode"I have no idea what trustzone is but it looks like some kind of secure boot. These chips are brand new samples sent to me by ST. I reached out to ST today but haven't heard back because it is the holidays so I figured I would post here.I checked all the option bytes but I don't think anything is set in a way that would prevent flashing, but I am also not a software developer so I'd appreciate any guidance on that.Any ideas? Anything is helpful, even if I've tried it already in some way.Thank y

I'm using CubeIDE Version: 1.16.1 and the project is imported from TouchGFX Version: 4.24.1

The STM32H7(4/5) documentation states that two of the ADCs on board can be used in dual ADC mode, so that their 16bit samples are read into the upper- and lower halfwords of a single 32bit register (ADCx_CDR), from where a single DMA can read them into designated buffer array.The documentation states this in no uncertain terms:" A single DMA request is generated each time both master and slave EOC eventshave occurred.   I am facing an issue connecting the STM32F4 NUCLEO-F429ZI board to an HMI screen that uses RS232 and RS485 communication standards. The HMI can communicate successfully with my computer, but the STM32 board cannot communicate with the computer except through UART3 and using a direct cable connection. This prevents me from establishing communication between the STM32 board and the HMI screen. Could you please help me identify what might be causing this issue and how I can resolve it? Thank you!

Hello ST Forum,We are using an STM32H750I in a current project. This STM communicates via the USART1 with another STM32H750V at a baud rate of 512kBaud. The clock of the STM32H7 runs via an 8MHz HSE (external quartz) at 480MHz. The clock of the USART1 is obtained from the PCLK2.We have now noticed the following phenomenon. Every now and then we have problems with the UART transmission between the two processors when starting the system. We connected a logic analyzer and found that in these cases "framing errors" and sometimes incorrect characters are sent on the UART. Hello,the SPI does work with NSSP(Negative Slave Select Pulse-Mode), but it does not work if I disable NSSP. As someone pointed out the SPI NSS(P) may only work if the Pulldown of that pin is enabled, but I’m not 100% sure on that one, but it seems to wirk for NSSP-En that way. For NSSP-Disabled I could not get the SPI-Controller to control the NSS(CS).I observed two issues:1) On Reset the NSS(CS) is low and will stay low until the first SPI Transaction. Hi,I am working on a project for a STM32G473CE, that is already working with the v1.0.0 of the OpenBootloader with FDCAN in order to flash the MCU.I want to upgrade the OpenBL to the latest version (v6.0.1 : https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mw-openbl) in order to use the Special Command with FDCAN that was introduced in v6.0.0.The MCU G4 firmware package (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeG4), does not have the latest version of the OpenBootloader, so I tried to upgrade it manually by replacing the old files of the lib by the newest ones. I checked the datasheet and there is a memory map of 521Kbyte.But I use the stm32h523VCT6 chip.This chip has 256Kbyte of memory.Can't a chip with 256Kbyte of memory use bankswap?If it can, can you tell me the memory address? 

We have an STM32F469IG controller communicating with a similar one over CAN at 500K baud rate. The requirement is to change the baud rate while they are exchanging packets. We clear the SLEEP bit in CAN_MSR and set the INRQ bit. The hardware did not set the INAK bit. What could be the issue here?Is it because at this baud rate, it is missing the 11 consecutive recessive bit sequence for the bus idle state?

Hi: I'm a "newbie" to STM processors. I have a board with the STM32H745BIT3 processor on it. I'd like to get the board to initially communicate via FDCAN to my laptop. My laptop has a PEAK FDCAN device on it. Is there a base CubeIDE project or .ioc file out there that I could use to initially get a prototype project running to communicate with the laptop. Once I get initial communication working, I plan on trying to use the emotas CANOpen stack. Any comments regarding FDCAN communication on a H745 processor is much appreciated.

I'm using an STM32H750 MCU to run an application that communicates with a computer via USB in CDC ACM mode. The application uses USBX from Eclipse ThreadX and an external USB PHY (USB3300) to perform high-speed communication. My application works fine when running in PCD_SPEED_FULL mode (12 Mb/s), but when running in PCD_SPEED_HIGH mode (480 Mb/s), some computers don't recognize the device. Initially, I thought the computer's USB port didn't support high-speed devices, but I've already connected another device that was identified as 480Mb/s on the same USB port. Does anyone have any idea why the STM32+USB3300 isn't identified when it's in high-speed mode, even on a USB port that can identify devices with that speed?
