STM32 MCUs Products

I have setup my NUCLEO-446RE as my transmitter and it works fine, But i am not able to read any data at the Receiver i.e. the blue pill. Main things i noted are: -> The MISO pin in any stm32F4 MCU has a function of "Alternate Function push pull" with maximum o/p speed being "very high" whereas in the stm32F1 MCU, it is "Input mode" with no ability to produce an o/p. -> If i use my Blue pill as Tx and NUCLEO as Rx it works all fine. This happens because the Tx uses only MOSI pin to transmit which is "Alternate Function push pull" even in an stm32F1 MCU. Is there any fix to this or should i just use another stm32F4 MCU for the receiver.

While the Coarse calibration in RTCv2 is obsolete, in 'L1 and 'F2 it's the only method (and I know 'L1 is NRND, but it's still around and will be for years to come, if ST sticks to its commitment), and as long as it's mentioned in 'F4 it should be properly described there too.So, my question #1 is, what's the role of RTC_CR.DCE. It's not described in the narrative. I can guess and test, but I don't intend to.Question #2 is, whether the Coarse calibration is supported in 'F3 (according to AN4759 Rev.9) or not (according to RM0316 Rev 10).JW

Hello everyone, I'm trying to sample some signals inside a timer ISR. I use all three ADC units of the mC (multiple channels in the first unit and 1 channel in each of the other two units) and I use software triggering and DMA transfer.This operation works well with HAL libraries, by only using the command HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc, uint32_t *pData, uint32_t Length).Now I need to make the transition to LL libraries, because the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function takes too much execution time due to its complexity.I am doing the basic configuration through CubeMX and then I interfere in the auto-generated code. What I am doing with LL is (among others) to add some lines into the auto-generated code so that to configure the addresses (LL_DMA_ConfigAddresses) and enable the DMA stream needed, in the initialization stage.So when the timer ISR starts (50kHz frequency), I enable the ADCs in the very first cycle (and wait for stabilization) and then in every cycle

Hi everyoneI'm trying to get involed with the nulceo STM32u575 board developing an application that should perform synchronously a GPIOB pins output configurations over time (periodic) and set a specific analog value to each GPIO pins, So ideally I'd have two arrays, one for the DAC and the second for the GPIO, and a Timer instance that triggers the GPIO pattern and sets the DAC output value. Hello together,I'm a little bit confused by the NVIC and EXTI description in the RM0503.The NVIC vector table says the RTC / TAMP interrupts are combined EXTI lines 19 & 21 (on page 302).But when looking at the EXTI line connections table (on page 309) the RTC source is on line 28 and TAMP on line 29. 

There is no clear information in the reference manual about port pin configuration locking one by one. Hi there,I'm working on a project with the STM32U5. This MCU comes with both a SPI and a OCTOSPI peripheral.The SPI peripheral supports a setting called MasterInterDataIdleness - in the reference manual it's shown as "master Inter-Data Idleness", which inserts "idle" (zero) clock cycles between two consecutive data frames.Does the OctoSPI peripheral support this setting as well, when configured for 2-lane SPI? I couldn't find any mention of it.Thanks in advance.

I am writing an LPTIM driver without HAL or LL drivers on the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board. I have been getting a number of odd behaviours here that I am hoping someone here can shed some light on.1) cannot enable continuous start          -bit 2 of the CR register is never set. I added a bunch of __NOP();s in between enabling the timer and setting continuous start with no success. I have also tried setting both bits together with LPTIM->CR = 0b101U; with no success.2) ISR only clears every now and then.          -using the IRQ handler function, the ISR is cleared the first time, and subsequently only clears about once every 5 times afterwards. the IRQ is being called constantly, when CNT = ARR should be true once a minute (Sysclock = MSI = 131072 Hz, PSC DIV = 128, ARR = 60963).3) other ISR flags are set          -even though i only set

Hello, In my application USB Device, on successful enumeration, BIT13 "USB_OTG_GINTSTS_ENUMDNE"of OTG core interrupt register (OTG_GINTSTS) turns High.As per USB2.0, if my USB Device in its Device Descriptor demands for higher power than what external USB HOST can support, the enumeration fails.I want to know what will be the state (high/Low) for for BIT13 "USB_OTG_GINTSTS_ENUMDNE"of OTG core interrupt register (OTG_GINTSTS) in that condition.

I am using the STM32H562VGT6 and IAR Workbench. I have set up a 4kHz interrupt with LPTIM3 and started transmitting 32 bytes of data using HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA. If I break and resume execution after starting the timer interrupt, the SP becomes 0xffff ffd8, causing a HardFault error.  The call stack only contains (Exception frame), making it untraceable. The stack area is from 0x2000'0f90 to 0x2000'4f8f. Although HardFault_Handler() is defined in stm32h5xx_it.c, breaking there does not hit during a HardFault.Breaking in MemManage_Handler or BusFault_Handler also does not hit. Hi All!Following are the proper codes for read and write the password in Micron MT25QL256ABA READ PASSWORD 27hWRITE PASSWORD 28hWrite Enable is executed before to write password using 28H, I wait for the flash to be ready by reading the FLAG STATUS register, then I read the password to verify it was written properly.The problem is that I am reading zeros only, and I do not understand why.Perhaps, a step is missing, or a step sequence is required. Datasheet is not explaining or giving information about this topic. As a note, all the operations work as expected. Hello,After changing from STM32F401RBT6 to STM32F401RET6, I can no longer put the chip in boot mode. All I did was to replace the chip; my understanding is that both chips are identical except memory. Does it need additional changes?Thanks for the help!

Hi.. Can anyone tell me why the ADC Calibration value is not the same before and after I initialize the DACIt seems that the value maxes out if I calibrate after I have initialized the DAC.The calibration register is 7 bits.The ADC also measures incorrectly if I calibrate the ADC after I have initialized the DAC.Anyone have a good explanation?thanks in advance.

  I am using STM32H5RE23T6. I implemented the function of receiving data from the FDCAN line. When I select FDCAN mode without BRS, it works without any problems. When I select with BRS mode.I set the arbitration phase to 1mbps.I set the data phase to 8 mbps. I cannot receive 8Mbps data in BRS mode. I set the data phase speed to 2Mbps. I can receive data in BRS mode, but I cannot receive data at 8Mbps. I have 2 reasons for this. Firstly, the can transceiver may not support this speed.The can transceiver I use is TCAN334D.It says up to 1 Mbps in the datasheet, but I was able to get 2Mbps as well. My other reason isHAL_FDCAN_ConfigTxDelayCompensation and HAL_FDCAN_EnableTxDelayCompensation We can send data up to 8Mbps using the functions, I saw on the forum that it says so in this link. But I don't know how to do it. Can anyone explain in more detail?

Hello!I am just getting started with STM32 universe. I've already finished my first project using the IDE SW4STM32 and I board I've designed using the STM32F070CBT. I've also used STM32CubeMX to generate the basic code.I wanted to keep using this board, as it's fully tested and all the hardware seems to work fine. But I just found a problem trying to implement a way to send a break signal before sending the DMX frame.I'm using __HAL_UART_DISABLE(&huart1) and __HAL_UART_ENABLE(&huart1) to try to manage the TX1 (PA9) pin, but even though I've tried to just do a simple blink, I can't get any control. I get the time in one thread with following code:   RTC_TimeTypeDef ti = {0}; RTC_DateTypeDef da = {0}; HAL_RTC_GetTime(& hrtc, ti, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); HAL_RTC_GetDate(& hrtc, da, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); It jumps from 12:59 to 1:00 instead 13:00, With another project which uses an older firmware and different pcb but same MCU this does not happen. Can this be a probem in the Cube Ide HAL 1.28.1? Or a problem with the RTC itself? I have only one prototype yet, but I will check next week with other prototypes. HAL_RTC_GetTime contains the following code: sTime->Hours jumps from 13 to 1 but sTime->TimeFormat remains 0.   I use 24 hours, but even if the settings would be 12 hours, the sTime->TimeFormat should be set after going from a.m. to p.m.

Hello Guys, Currently I am using Parallel RGB888 TFT display with resolution 800X480 in which I am using STM32F429ZIT6 controller using LTDC with DMA2 and I am printing whole RED color on display but display showing lines. Hi,    The datasheets says (P173) - the VREF– s available only on UFBGA176+25 andTFBGA240+25. When VREF- is not available, it is internally connected to VDDA and VSSA. Our ADC input signal goes to both positive and negative. Questions:1. What the part number we should use, which allows VREF–? (Negative ref)2. Is VREF– a fixed value or changeable? How is it defined relative to the input signal range?3. Does NUCLEO-H753ZI board allow our negative ADC input signal in? I need clarification about the BOOT0 pin configuration for this process:For USB DFU mode: Should I set the BOOT0 pin to 1 (Boot from System Memory) before performing a reset?For normal operation: Should I set the BOOT0 pin to 0 (Boot from User Flash) after programming and perform another reset?Additionally, is there a way to switch between DFU mode and normal operation without physically toggling the BOOT0 pin, such as through software or other techniques?Any guidance or recommendations would be appreciated.and below circuit i used in my custom board design to select both option. On the stm32h750, I want to use 4 channels to implement pwm waves with different phases in the output comparison mode of tim8. Chanel's mode selection switches on match. The stages are 0% 25% 50% 75%. When the phase is zero (sConfigOC.Pulse = 1-1), the waveform does not flip, while other channels flip according to the set phase.   This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community guidelines.

Hello,I have designed several custom boards based on STM32 MCUs, And are running fine problem is i have installed these across the country over 50 locations and now it very costly to go to each location for for required software updates or to debug if any issue arises.What i thought that i will put and ESP32 and a small display on the board. So that whenever i need to debug the system i will simply ask client to connect system to the available wi-fi and will get remote debug interface and do whatever i need to do.I can use any STM32 MCU series, cost is not an issue.. But it has to be MCU not a windows or Linux system.1. Is it possible to do that.2. If yes.. then how to proceed? what would be the components required and system architecture? 

Hi,I am not able to get a correct reading from ADC1 INP0 (PA0). All the other analog channels works fine.The datasheet mentions this:ADC option register (ADC_OR), option bit 0 (OP0)For ADC1:0: INP0/INN1 GPIO switch control disabled1: INP0/INN1 GPIO switch control enabledNote:This option bit must be set to 1 when ADCx_INP0 or ADCx_INN1 channel is selected.The expected value is 2048, but I get 4095 when OP = 1, and 3433 with OP0.The input has a 2 k resistor in series, and I measure 1.5 V (correct) on the far side, and 1.3 V on the side directly connected to the input.Please see attached file, which is from the datasheet for RGT6. I don't know how to interpret the table. Is option register implemented or not regarding ADC1?What is the purpose of the option bit, and what am I missing here?
