Hello, I have created a C++ project with CubeMx / CubeIDE.  It generates the code as main.c, I have seen other post about changing the file extension each time you generate code to .cpp and I have tried that but then I get an "undefined reference to `MX_FREERTOS_Init()" error.  I can then change app_freertos to a .cpp file but that creates more errors.If I leave the file extensions of main and app_freertos as .c everything will compile and run but I then run into an issue of including a library I wrote in C++ that uses a class.  I have a class defined in my header file but it wont compile..."unknown type name 'class'".

Hi All, My company has a board which uses the STM32G473 MCU. It serves a battery powered industrial application.  Architecture:The board is connected to a 4-cell 18650 LiIon pack. A TI BQ76942 handles pack monitoring, cell balancing, safety cut offs, and main system power switching. When the system is turned off by the operator or MCU (from timeouts or low pack voltage) we put the BQ76942 in to SHUTDOWN mode which powers down most of it's internals, turns off the FETs between the pack and rest of the board, and enters a low power state with a draw of ~2uA. The MCU remains powered by a linear regulator which is always connected to the pack. The user can power the system on by plugging in wall power or pressing a button. Both of these cause a rising edge on one of the sys wkup pins. When this happens, the MCU exits deepsleep and reinitializes all the peripherals including the BQ76942. The total system

I notice the delay block doesn't seem to be configurable for the OSPI peripheral in QSPI mode. Does any one know if it is still possible to use the delay block with a QSPI clock? I've tried coding the delay block a few different ways but it doesn't seem to work.

Hi, I´m using USB-PD (with STM32G0B1CEU6) succesfully with a lot of own boards and different AC adapters. But with one adapter I don´t get the 20V despite the source has this capability. Using a PD analyzer I can see, that with the not working adapter the sink doesn´t send an ACK. What could be the reason?  

I am currently working on I2C communication with the STM32G030F6P6 microcontroller and developing a library for slave mode. I encountered an issue where, after the master transmits a command, the slave receives and processes the data, responding accordingly. However, when the command doesn't match the expected input and the master sends a receive request, clock stretching occurs. If anyone has insights on how to handle or resolve this, I would appreciate your suggestions

HiI have a question for my colleagues who use FMC to communicate with LCD. I am using CoreH7XXI with 743. The display does not respond to the data I send to it. I used Core4X9I with 429 before and everything worked. My question is whether I need to set something else apart from FMC. I don't know if it's a faulty module or a software problem. I've been working on this problem for three days now. I use CubeIDE 1.13.2 for configuration. I still use SDRAM. Configuration is error-free. The program does not hang. I read on the forums and no one wrote about the problems I have. Could it be faulty hardware?

Hello,I have seen that ST provides the USB_Device legacy library which uses the OTG_FS peripheral for the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32u5-classic-coremw-apps/tree/main. In my case I am using the STM32U5G9J-DK2 evaluation board, so when I generate a project in Cube, it generates the OTG_HS peripheral which is based on USBx. Does ST provide any CDC Standalone example with the OTG_HS peripheral as we have in the STM32H7 or STM32F4, and thus follow the same dynamics as in other microcontrollers and not having to use the USBx package generated by Cube?Thanks,Enaitz.

Hi, I will be using the suggested IC as the IC for my custom ECU PCB taking in inputs like acceleration pedal travel,brake pedal travel, etc and feed it to the motor controller, it will also serve as a data acquisition system with either in-built telemetry or another telemetry pcb(you can suggest another IC for this also) with direct access to it. The IC suggested should also have nucleo board for the same so that I can familiarize myself with the coding part too. Can you guys suggest me an IC that satisfies most of the demands I have if not all of them?

Hi!I'm using an STM32 part for a USB product and wanting to get a sublicence for a USB Product ID which I believe is a service ST provide.Previous posts on here have suggested I contact my local ST sales office, but the email they provide on the st.com website gets bounced as nonexistent (uk.contact@st.com). Other sales offices don't provide any contact details and only show a mailing address. Trying to open a support ticket then shows up some Salesforce Single Sign On error so I can't even login to that! Does anyone know who is best to contact for getting this sorted?  Thanks!

Hi , I am using TIM21 in input capture mode to measure the LSI frequency (~37 kHz). However, when I set the TIM21 clock to 2 MHz or use the MSI clock, it causes a hardware fault when attempting to capture the LSI frequency.I have reviewed the STM32CubeL0 example code for RTC_LSI, which uses an MSI clock set to 2 MHz to measure the LSI frequency successfully. Evening everyone,I am working on the board bring up of a custom board using an STM32U59GVJT6Q and I am unable to connect to the chip through CubeProgrammer with an STLINK-V3SET over SWD. I get the following error, "Error: No STM32 target found!...".  I am supplying the MCU with 1.8vI have verified NRST is high(1.8v) and have tried various combinations of mode and reset modes in cubeprog.  I started checking voltages at the MCU and the only odd thing I could find was 1.8v on pin VLXSMPS. I believe the MCU should be outputting 1.1v on this pin, routed through a 2.2uH inductor and feeding the VDD11 pins.Any ideas or other things to check please let me know, Thanks!

Hello, I am getting started with the STM32F767ZI Nucleo board, and I am trying to do something pretty basic -- blinking some of the LEDs. I have the F7 ioc setup as default, and I am trying to run the HAL_GPIO_TogglePin in the main while loop. When I run the debugger, nothing happens on the board. If I set the default state in the IOC file to High, the LED turns on, no problem. I am using STM32G031 Series.The bootloader was performed by selecting the main flash memory among pattern 11. However, the firmware update continues no matter how many times you update it, but it does not seem to work after the process. Are there any other settings or post-processing that need to be done?

Hello, i'm developing an application using STM32U083 where i need to use USB CDC class.  My demo is based on NUCLEO-U083RC board with STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1; i mounted an external USB-B connector on PA11/PA12 pins. I would like to use USB-X firmware stack; i used it in standalone mode on an old STM32L476G-DISCO board and it works fine. I've followed the @B.Montanari guide and it was very clear. With STM32U083 i have an issue...my host pc cannot recognize device but with any error. it seems to be totally disconnected, there is any activity and the microcontroller not trigger any interrupt on USB module so i think the USBX stack cannot work. I checked with oscilloscope DP/DM but i see that the lines are both low, it seems the micro doesn't pulling up DP line and it explains why the host doesn't start any transaction. Furthermore, if i solder a 1.5K external

Using St Cube IDE 1.6.0, I create new project for STM32G491KE.When debugging the project I noticed that Systick interrupt is not getting called. Systick STK_VAL register is changing, and STL_CTRL register COUNTFLAG bit is set. Interrupt in stm32g4xx_it.c void SysTick_Handler(void) is never called as a result uwTick is never incremented and HAL_Delay() function hung up because of this.What could be a reason? The project is autogenerated, nothing is done to it manually, only hal_delay() function call in for(;;) loop.

Hello,I'm developing a project using STM32G491RC MCU. It currently sits on a custom-made PCB supplied by a two stage buck power supply on-board.When the MCU was powered up using on-board power supply, I see voltages appearing on pins that are not even initialised. Is this normal?For e.g., I try a simple blinky code on pin PC7 without initializing any other pin (other than SWD). While PC7 toggles as expected, I also see voltages on other pins. What's going wrong? What should be the status of un-initialized pins?Thanks!
