I am writing data to an SD card for a data logger application, but I have very little experience with writing to SD cards so I want to ensure I am writing the data efficiently.My understanding is that data is written as a sector of 512 bytes.  So even if I write a single byte, it will need to write all 512 bytes in a sector to do so ?I am using the FatFs driver with an SPI interface running on the NUCLEO-L433RC-P dev board.At the moment I create a binary file and start the file with the UNIX time, followed by samples (each 14 bytes in length) until the data log is completed. Each sample consists of a 4-byte tick time and 10-bytes of serial data received via the UART (at a 100ms rate):Tick time from HAL_GetTick()  (32 bits)Temperature (8 bits)Voltage high byte (8 bits)Voltage low byte (8 bits)Current high byte (8 bits)Current low byte (8 bits)Consum

Hi,Does anyone know if it's normal for the RTC_IRQHandler not to trigger when the MCU wakes up from standby mode using the wake-up timer? I tried setting a breakpoint in the RTC_IRQHandler, but the problem is that it doesn't hit the breakpoint when the MCU successfully wakes up.Below is my code. Thanks!

Hello,STM32F103RB microcontroller.7-bit master transmitter (see Figure 273).When I send Address then I receive AF bit of I2C_SR1 register equals "1" (Acknowledge failure). But the diagram taken from the oscilloscope shows that after the address there is a Acknowledge bit equal to "0". Which does not correspond to the AF bit in I2C_SR1 register. Hello :)I have created a project for a STM32H745I_Disco board in TouchGFX, imported it to STM32CubeIDE and enabled:USB_OTG_FS -- Host_Only and VBUS sensingUSB_HOST_M7 -- Mass Storage Host Class + Platform settings for enable PinFATFS_M7 -- USB Disk, USE_LFN on, MAX_SS to 4096USART2 -- for debugging, asynchronous and 9600 Baudrate After this, I generated the code. I had to manually add the usb files (STM32_USB_Host_Lib, USB_HOST, FATFS) to the project for it to compile successfully.Now i want to write to a flash drive connected to the USB_FS port, using the default fatfs functions. HelloAfter running the code for about one to two hours I always get Hard Fault exception. I have timer 1 setup to PWM a wave form and timer 2 setup to PWM a different frequency wave form.  I need to restart timer 2 when an output compare match (CNT = CCR) on timer 1 occurs.  It appears that I can do this with master/slave configuration of the two timers but I am struggling with the reference manual explanation.  If I want to use timer 1 as the timer master and timer 2 as the timer slave, is it only timer 1 channel 1 (OC1) that I can use as the timer master? It looks like the reference guide, table 351 is telling me that when TIM2 is the slave and TIM1 is the master that I will need to be configuring for ITR0, but there is limited definition there for what the table means.  Any confirmation or tripping points would be appreciated, if there is a good app note that covers this, that would be appreciated a point to also.

I want to generate a ~200us pulse on the DAC (variable output) that occurs at 20Hz.The DAC itself is no problem, the 20Hz is done with a timer interrupt.What is the best way to implement the 200us timing? Preferably non-blocking, Another timer that starts from the first one? Suggestions welcome.

Hi everyone. I am trying to communicate with a board called EVB-LAN9252-SPI via SPI, and I am only getting the datasheet-correct result for the first SPI request.If I send 0x03 and then 0x0050, I should get 0x92520001. Right now, I only get 0x92520001 for the first reception, and after that, I get 0x00480000, 0x00440000, and 0x00400000, which is the same value as 0x00400000. I am using SPI4 PORTE pins 2,5 and 6. I have a 16 channel ADC hooked up to it. Everything functions as needed on the ADC including. Reset, Averaging setup, channels setup. I can see the MISO pin(Pin 5 PortE changes as the voltage changes. but 0 is read from the DR on the SPI peripheral.I noticed in the data manual PORTE AF5(Alternate function 5) is assigned to two sets of pinsDS10693 Rev 10 Page 61PORTE Pin 2 = SPI4_SCKPORTE Pin 5 = SPI4_MISOPORTE Pin 6 = SPI4_MOSIandPORTE Pin 12 = SPI4_SCKPORTE Pin 13 = SPI4_MISOPORTE Pin 14 = SPI4_MOSII used CUBEMX to setup the pins for the peripheral, and have double checked it. I use the generated SPI function HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive to get the data.We also had this part work on two other boards, using a different SPI port.Do I have to use PORTE pin 13 for the MISO? Why does PORTE Pin 5 not work as advertised? 

Hi. I am using the STM32H7S78-DK board.In STM32CubeIDE, I checked the example for jpeg_encodingFromXSPI_DMA. When the encoding is finished and the LD1 LED turns green, how can I retrieve the size of the encoded jpgBuffer as a variable?What I've tried: I attempted to access the members of JPEG_HandleTypeDef hjpeg, but it didn't work as expected. I have designed a custom board using STM32H573IIT3Q MCU. when I connected it with st link, the st link not recognize it. After I check the voltage on power pin, all the power pin is normal except the VCAP pin (not outputing voltage). According to the AN5711, I am using the LDO configuration and here is the schematic of MCU's power. the BOOT pin pulled down with 10K resistor, and the reset pin is on high state when the board powered.I have tried bypass the vcap pin with buck and the board is connected with st link and haven't found any problem but I want to use the internal LDO configuration. does someone knows

Hi guys, I'd like to test if the true ADC frequency is the same as what I've set. The ADC setting is HSI14 (14 MHz) as clock source, 12 bits resolution (corresponds to 12.5 ADC clock cycles), sampling time is 1.5 clock cycles. Therefore, one conversion time should be, according to user manual, (1.5+12.5) / (14 MHz) = 1 microseconds. What can I do to test if each conversion is really that fast and how to export each ADC data to a spreadsheet (csv or xslx files) for further analysis under such high speed? I suppose using Tera Term to log data doesn't work since the maximum baud rate is 921600 and what I'm using is 115200, both of which are less than 1 million, does it make sense?I'm using STM32F0308 board and CooCox CoIDE.I'm new to STM32 and this community, if there's anything I can do next time to propose a better question, please let me know, thank you for reading.

I am trying to implement WiFi station using NUCLEO-H753ZI using Embedded Artists 1YN module and interfacing with muRata M2 Adapter Board.I have stm32cubeide 1.15.0 . With it I have downloaded the Infineon/AIROC WiFi-Bluetooth STM32 software package.I am referring to the WiFi Scan example and implementing it in my board, but I am unable to build the project. I have even added many includes manually. But now I am stuck at a point where I have added the include folder of header file to the project properties, added the header file as include in the c file, but still it is showing error while building.Has someone done this successfully or does someone have any suggestion?I am attaching the .zip file of the project for reference.
