I am working with the internal temperature sensor and the VREFINT channel on the STM32L1 series. When I attempt to read the TS_CAL1 and TS_CAL2 calibration values from the flash memory, as specified in the reference manual, I either receive 0 or find it impossible to read the values. Additionally, when I access the flash memory, I find no values stored at the specified addresses. Hey Octospi experts,I just got an external quad-SPI SRAM (AP6404L-3SQN) running via the H723's Octospi.At least mostly...No HAL use, only direct register settings (except for writing via DMA, still using HAL_MDMA_Start_IT() to trigger the transfer).Right now Memory-Mapped reading* is working, so does DMA writing.And good that I tested with write / read buffers > 1024, the SRAM's page size, so that I found the page wrap problem early.Question:There are many STM32 registers concerning WRAP stuff, but can I set these up so that I don't need any other precautions vs page wrapping?Esp. when doing memory-mapped reading (with the 8 byte limit) and DMA writing (probably not, as the ref manual says)?Before spending another week on that and wrecking my nerves, I better ask here.I honestly admit that I don't really understand the (slightly thin) documentation about the wrap

Hello, I use STM32F746 , touchgfx, SDRAM, NORFLASH in my project. I use MPU and I make configurations in CUBEMX and I have MPU_Config() funciton in my main.c. I wonder that;  is MPU one time programmable after reset or can I  reconfig MPU during runtime? I ask this because have a bootloader also use mpu config If boot loader configures MPU is it possible to configure MPU by main code ? Thanks 

Hello Community, I am using a STM32F411, 2 timer with global interrupt and preemption priority of 0 are executing a timing critical process to bitbang a GPIO port.4uS timer periodAnd a I2C DMA process to update a SSD1306 screen I2C and DMA interrupt have a preemption priority of 14I am having an issue with the timer bitbang when I sent a message to update the screen. I thought that lower interrupt priority with take the lead and it seems that it is not the caseDo I miss something ?Vincent

Hi, i have some troubles with UART receive, unfortunately I had no explanation. I am new with STM32 MCU. Here is the issue:The communication was working fine after power on, until the MCU access the EEPROM or when I tried to pause in debug mode. After that's, the framing error status is set permanently. I had tried to simulate a temperature sensor in Proteus. However I found that the ADC input fail to be read by the MC. The ADC value remains as zero. 

Referring to AN5050 as well as an online guide for creating a QuadSPI loader for a W25Q32 flash IC, I have written code for a W25Q64 flash IC that I am interfacing in QuadSPI mode using the OctoSPI peripheral on the U599.When I try reading the flash address in cubeprogrammer I get the following errorError: Data read failedVerbose level 3 does not log anything else relevant to the error.When I try fully erasing the IC as well, I get the error - Error: Mass erase operation failed.Please verify flash protectionI have attached my code below, could someone assist me in identifying the error in the same?Thank you

We are seeing a situation where the OPTVERR bit is unexpectedly set after power reset. We've checked and all the complement words in the Flash area for the option bytes are set correctly, so no corruption there. The description in the reference manual for why this bit gets set is confusing:"Set by hardware when the options read may not be the one configured by the user. If option haven’t been properly loaded, OPTVERR is set again after each system reset."To make the mystery even more intriguing, we are only seeing this on one of our two PCB board designs, even though both use identical STM32L452REY6 MCUs. The higher density board is exhibiting this problem, the lower density board is not. So it seems related to the HW environment, which on the surface makes very little sense. Hi.In my system, the opposing device sends TCP data at 20ms intervals,and the microcontroller receives the TCP data non-blocking at 20ms intervals.Therefore, the ethernetif_input() function of LWIP is supposedto be called at 20ms intervals and store data in the receive buffer.However, as the operation continues, the calls to ethernetif_input() gradually delay by 1ms, 2ms, and so on.(After 18 minutes, the calls are delayed by 10ms.)As a result, there are moments when the receive buffer is empty, causing failures in receiving data at 20ms intervals.I tried the following, but the call to ethernetif_input() is still gradually delayed:・Changing the data transmission interval of the counterpart device (20ms → 10ms or 100ms)・Adjusting the CPU clock (168MHz → 216MHz)・Changing ETH_RX_DESC_CNT (4 → 8)・Changing INTERFACE_THREAD_STACK_SIZE (350 → 500)・Changing TCPIP_MBOX_SIZE (6 → 1000)・Changing DEFAULT_TCP_RE

Hello,I am currently using the Mikromedia 7 FPI Capacitive SoC with STMF745ZG MCU, which includes the LAN8720A PHY. However, I'm encountering issues as the LEDs on the PHY do not light up, and my PC shows the cable as unplugged. I have thoroughly checked all the connections and cables, but the problem persists.One of the challenges I faced was in the CubeIDE since there is no specific LAN8720A option available. Instead, I selected LAN8742A, which seemed to have similar register addresses. With this configuration and when I enable MCO with 25MHz, I can successfully read and write to ETH registers. However, I am still unable to establish a connection with my PC. During debugging, I noticed that the Lan8742_Init process completes a soft reset and obtains the correct PHY address (0). Hello,I'm running into an issue with Makefile. I ported over the structure that the CubeIDE uses to generate an elf and I'm using the exact same commands. I can build my target elf file successfully but at the end I get a warning stating: /usr/lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/10.3.1/../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: warning: cannot find entry symbol Reset_Handler; defaulting to 0000000008000000 I generate a startup_stm32l051t8yx.o file and it's part of the object files that the linker is using to generate an elf. Things I've debugged:I looked into what this meant from a few previous post (https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/how-to-fix-quot-warning-cannot-find-entry-symbol-reset-handler/td-p/252538).
