Hello,I'm working on a led display solution and I'm using a STM32U5 with GPDMA to pilot daisy-chained shift-registers through GPIOs. I could have used the SPI interface but I'm driving several differents chains of shift registers and I prefer to make bit-banging with DMA > GPIO.BSRR registers. Everything is working but sometimes we can observe glitches in the led display. We think that is because we are modifying the buffer sent by the DMA at the middle of a frame. Currently, there is not synchronisation between the application and the DMA transfers.  We think it would be better to use double buffering, one for storing the current display data, and one for the future data to be displayed. We don't want to update very often the data to be displayed so we called sometimes a function that do the job of updating the content to be displayed, so ideally the DMA should loop on the same buffer and switches to the second buffer only

Hello Everyone,I'm about to start a new project where I have some products built on STM32.Now I wanted to connect those devices to the microsoft widows based computer and build a windows software to control the devices and get the stored data from devices (data is stored in SD card in text format).But I'm not sure about how to start this like which protocol should i use (I considerd RS-485 or LAN), and platform or lanuage to build a computer software.Please give me suggestion on this if anyone has worked on such projects.Thank you in advance.

Hi,I am using stm32h745. I want to check the integrity of flash by checking crc checksum of the code in flash by storing the crc to last 4 bytes of flash. During image integrity check the calculated crc and stored crc need to compare. For this how should I set build settings in properties of STM32CubeIDE??? Could someone please help with this

I'm trying to acquire data from 3 sensor simultaneously using Triple Mode. Simple question, I'm trying to locate a user manual for STM32U5xx HAL library but can't find it. The official STM32U5 ST page doesn't provide it. And neither does the STM32CubeU5. Does this mean it doesn't exit yet? But if code is there, then it should since HAL libraries usually use Doxygen generated docs.On the other hand can I just use STM32L5xx HAL documentation or like? How different from STM32U5xx HAL is STM32L5 HAL?

Hi ,While checking the "Flash recommended number of wait state for programming delay" list for my project on STM32H723 target, observed the list is not up to 550Mhz. It's showing VOS0(boost mode) [ 70Mzh, 140Mhz, 210Mhz, 275Mhz] , It's listing max LATENCY 3 I think the list should show like : [ 70Mzh, 140Mhz, 210Mhz,280Mhz,350Mhz,420Mhz,490Mhz,550Mhz] , so the Max LATENCY value can be 7 for 550Mhz.Same applies to VOS1.I am referring latest STM32H72 User Guide and Data sheet. Please clarify "Flash recommended number of wait state for programming delay" topic. 

Hello all, I have a fundamental question, I hope it is easy for somebody who has done this before.I started a brand new project for a STM32H7A3VITxQ on Firmware package FW_H7 V1.11.2STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.16.0Build: 21983_20240628_1741 (UTC)Updated the clock to 280 Mhz (max allowed), and tried to enable OCTOSPI2 for HyperBus (or Octo SPI) but these options are not enabled.Is there something that I'm missing to be able to enable OctoSpi or Hyperbus?

Dear allI'm starting a design with the  STM32L412R8I (or  maybe STM32L412RBI6) and I cannot find the VBUS dedicated pin in the datasheet nor in the manual. In this design the USB will be always device (no OTG)Is it enough to have VDDUSB powered to detect a bus connection? Additionally, the design is going to be battery powered and be disconnected from the USB bus most of the time. Can I have the microcontroller powered by its regular power pins (VBAT, VDD, VDDA) and power VDDUSB only when the device gets attached to an USB bus? Thanks in advanceIgnacio

This is a question about SPI communication.There is an NSS pin for SPI communication, but is it okay to use GPIO instead of the NSS pin when there is one master and one slave?We don't quite understand the role of NSS. I think it will be useful when there is one master and many slaves.

Hello Dear Community,I am working on an HMI System and using STM32H7B0 with APS6404L-3SQR. Hi Community,During a project we are using the microcontroller STM32H7B0RBT6 with QSPI PSRAM APS6404L-3SQR , it works fine in indirect mode either in quad read and quad write, but the issue is with the write in memory mapped mode when trying to write less than 8 byte, one for example (*((uint8_t*) (0x90000010))=0x55;) the 7 others  bytes are zeroed it seems that the write accept only 8 bytes if the data is less than 8 the other bytes are zeroed as you can see :instead written 8 bytes (*((uint64_t*) (0x90000010))=0xA5A5A5A5A5A5A5A5

The STM32H7 reference manual (stm32h723zg.pdf) contains several tables describing he pin mappings (pin to functions).In Table 7 and 8, for pin A0, A5, and A15, it lists the pin function as "TIM2_CH1/TIM2_ETR" for alternate function #0. Should this be interpreted to mean that, when this alternate function is selected for the pin, it both the function of CH1 and ETR for timer 2 (i.e., it is connected to both the CH1 and ETR of the TIM2 peripheral)? Or is there a way to select whether CH1 or ETR is active?I could not find this in the documentation.

Motivation: Release a product (STM32F072RBT) with no buttons or toggles on the PCB and allow customers to flash and interact with their product over USB serial interface. Requirement: Keep BOOT0 held high so the STM32 is in DFU mode upon initial connection to computer. Hi all,  I currently work on STM32F030K6 . I am working with a reed switch connected to pin PA8 (EXTI8). I havec onfigured the PIN like : "external Interrupt Mode rising/falling ....I need to perform an action on the rising edge AND on the falling edge.But since the switch is slow there are certainly bounces.What would be the good method to not detect the bounces.I tried to set a timer but it does not work. Hello STM community, I am new here. I recently decide to learn embedded systems and I bought STM32F3 discovery board having the STM32F303VCT6 chip on it.But I am facing the issue in serial wire debug. In the SYS, when I try to choose the Serial wire in the debug tab it gives me an error in the TSC.I don't know about TSC and why is it giving me an error since I disabled it. But it is showing me a pin-conflict error.This error goes away if I choose the disable option in debug tab.My objective is to use the serial wire debug or serial wire viewer option in stm32 cube ide to monitor my variables and printf statements during the debugging.My questions are, If I choose disable in debug tab , would I still be able to use serial wire viewer?I tried to choose disable in debug tab then How was I succeeded in debug

I am able to upload code, execute it and debug it via SWD.I am using CubeIDE's Pinout & configuration utility to configure peripherals and software modules. I want to add FreeRTOS to an empty project. Due to issue 189410 I have to revert Firmware package version to 1.8.5. If I select Firmware package version 1.8.5, I can enable FreeRTOS with CMSIS_V2 interface and generate and compile code successfully. Hi everybody !! i have an issue on I2C with a STM32 issue. i thought this was a code issue but in the main i also make LEDs blinking and it works, only the I2C doesn't work but... i noticed that my lines both rise to 3.3V but never fall down it just stay high. i guess it might be because i have a clock issue. Im using internal clock for some reasons, no external crystal. The HAL-delay function work with the SYSCLK but my I2C clock doesn't. Thx for your future answers. Best regards.
