Hello,I am trying to implement the following: a timer (tim3) is set to PWM generation, outputting a pulse periodically. Its TRGO triggers the DMA channel to request I2C to initiate a read transaction, read 8 bytes and generate an event interrupt (TC probably) to process these data bytes. On the next PWM pulse the next 8 bytes should be read. Data should be put to a circular buffer (ideally 8 bytes long, so that data is just overwritten into the same memory buffer. Cycle should continue indefinitely.I feel like this scenario should be implementable, however I don't seem to grasp how to set it up correctly. I have the timer generating pulses correctly, but no tinkering with GPDMA and I2C settings yields a working procedure, at best I manage to make I2C to trigger, but only read 2 bytes once and then not reacting to consecutive pulses. I don't ask to do my job for me, but at least could you confirm that it is doable and outline the correct way to set it up? Thx.Her

hello:    I use NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q to test a bootloader feature:the bootloader runs in 0x08000000 at flash, when it starts, it copies the application stored in 0x08005000 to 0x24000000 in RAM, then jump to 0x24000000, I turn on a led in main function to signal the success, so far it works well, but if I put the turn on code in a task, the led won't be turned on, which means the task fails to run, also if I use HAL_Delay in main, it will be stuck in HAL_Delay, can anyone help me out? I am looking to design a split keyboard that requires USB communication between two keyboard halves and  a host computer. The left half will have a USB-C connection to a host computer and appear as a USB HID with regular keyboard functionality. This connection will also source power from the host.The left half will also have a USB-C connection to the right keyboard half providing power to the right.The right half will have a USB-C connection to the left half and must source power from the left half.Keeping cost low is critical so the USB-C connection between the halves would not need to use standard USB-C communication and could implement a USB alternate mode as per the USB-C specification and then use UART between the MCUs.The STM32G0B1xB/xC/xE series have two USB Type-C Power Delivery controllers available. Hello everyone.I want to connect 8 SRAMs (2MB) to STM32H755XIH3 and use them as 16MB work memory.When connecting 8 memories (SRAMs) using FMC (devices more than the number of FMC_NE*), how should I connect and control them? If there are any similar cases, I would appreciate your advice. I am currently considering it, but I have some conditions.1. I will use Infenion's CY7C1061GE30-10BVJXIT (2MB) with dual chip enable for the SRAM.2. Of the 4 NEs in the FMC, 2 will be used to connect other memories, so only 2 can be used for SRAM.Thank you in advance.

Hello all,Im looking for LCD Display that I wanted to interface using ST32H747XIH6 Microcontroller, with its MIPI DSI 2 lanes interface. I see it can only support upto 800x480 in the datasheet, or am i wrong?, can the MCU drive larger resolutions like XGA, or can i enable 800x480 pixels in XGA display, like down scaling in software?So, Im looking for a suitable LCD of MIPI DSI interface type, but not able to find ready to buy on Digikey and mouser, kindly suggest a few LCD part numbers, I'm looking for 4.5 inch to 6.5 inches (diagonal) display sizes.Thanks in advance,Arvind. 

Posted on March 04, 2017 at 19:17I've used various microprocessor dev systems for several decades, but am new to Eclipse and STM32.I bought a STM32L476G-EVAL board, installed the SW4STM32 toolchain, downloaded the STM32L4 firmware package and placed it in a folder on my hard drive.For my first example project I set the workspace to the outer folder holding the entire STM32L4 package and then imported the project that was inside the SW4STM32/STM32L476G_EVAL folder within the specific example that I was trying out. It compiled, loaded and ran fine.I then went to try another example and when I went to import the next project it wouldn't let me, saying that the project was already within the workspace. And I couldn't figure out a way to open that project.So I figured I was using the workspace wrong, so I created a new workspace which I set as the SW4STM32 folder just outside the project folder and then imported the project in the

Hi,I am using a STM32H5 as SPI slave DMA (the main clock is at 250Mhz and SPI clock is at 160Mhz)... I am trying to receive data (2072 Bytes) from a master with a clock of 4Mhz and I am having some OVVERUN is this normal. When the master clock is at 2Mhz I don't have any issue. Thank you

I have STM32G070RBT6, a timer is set to give interrupt every 1 second, in interrupt i am incrementing a variable timer_var1 then in main file while loop i am dividing this by 10 and assigning this value to another variable TIMER_NOW. Hi there,I have been using STM32 nearly 10 years.I did modification according to company requirements. But it doesn't mean I am very good at C,C++ or else. I understand coding if it'd in C or C++ format.  I understand mathematics, logics and conditioning. Kindly suggest materials/ guidelines/ books/ tutorials that might help me to write coding/ debugging and finding root cause of failure.Let's say staring with ARM cortex type M0.  

I've seen other posts to resolve the compiler warning of "elf has a LOAD segment with RWX permissions", but I'm receiving this warning only when calling functions in RAM using the .RamFunc segment attribute. From the map file I've verified the function is being loaded into RAM.  I could disable the warning, but would like to understand the underlying issue. I'm working with the latest STMCubeIDE version 1.16.0, but also saw this in 1.15.0.  I'm building code for the STM3H735 and STM32H745 families.

Is it possible to use UART3 as the bootloader interface on this chip?I’m able to communicate with UART3 (so the hardware connection seems fine), but I’m unsure about the baud rate—does the bootloader autodetect it, or is it fixed? The bootloader works fine over USB, and I can successfully enter bootloader mode. However, when I disconnect the USB and attempt to use UART3, I can’t establish a connection.I understand that not all chips support all UARTs for bootloading, and in the documentation, I see references to UART1, UART2, and some mention of other UART interfaces. Could you clarify if UART3 is supported for bootloader flashing on this chip?

I'm trying to make FFT for 32768 input buffer, my function calculate it in about 250ms.Functions in CMSIS LIB do it much quicker but support only length 128, 512, 2048. How can I do long FFT with good performance?

I am designing a board based around the STM32F030RC, and noticed an apparent discrepancy on IRQ18 between materials.STM32CubeMX allows both TIM6 and TIM7 to generate interrupts, and the stm32f030xc.h file it generates defines TIM6 as IRQ17 and TIM7 as IRQ18. However, the RM0360 Reference Manual claims that IRQ18 is Reserved, and does not list an interrupt for TIM7, only for TIM6.My question is: is IRQ18 genera

hi everyone,Does stm32 have any ptp integration manual? For example, I would like to use a DP83640 with an integrated ieee1588. And this phy contains PTP/SFD interrupt pins. Are there any pins in stm32h7 family or stm32f7 family for this interrupt? Or do I join any interrupt gpio and create my own routine? Or how to successfully implement ptp on stm32?  

I am developing a application for Battery based 4G GATEWAY so most of the time I want my micro-controller in sleep mode.I am using Standby Mode as I require least power consumption.The requirement I need is I want to wake micro-controller at specific time like 6am,12pm,6pm and 12 noon.Initially 6am time will be set and once alarm is raised,interrupt comes next alarm will be configured and again we go in sleep mode.Below is my configuration for RTC and Alarm.The interrupt works as required when I don't call Enter_Standby_Mode function.But when I call Enter_Standby_Mode and controller goes in sleep.It won't come out of Sleep when RTC time matches ALARM A time.Basically its interrupted is not getting generated.Where I am going wrong?can any one reply?      /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** *************************************

Hi everyone.I caught a problem on STM32G0B0KET6. I want to write a data to main flash memory. But I detected that I can not  write any data page 382 and page 383. I only can not write to this pages. There are no problem for other pages. For this pages, I always took error(warning) of FLASH->SR : CFGBSY after when I write first word that is 32 bits. I spent to find for two day for this problem. If I did not test other pages, I would have lost time more. I need to declare a 'volatile const', meaning that the value is placed in FLASH and that it is re-read every time it is referenced (as the FLASH is written to elsewhere), but am finding it very difficult to accomplish this as the compiler either places this in RAM or optimises it so that the FLASH is not read every time.volatile const uint8_t mcau8VT_SP_Backup[] __attribute__((aligned(4))) = {0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF};The compiler gives this a 'Run Address (VMA)' of 0x20000000 (i.e. RAM) and a 'Load Address (LMA)' in FLASH.  const uint8_t mcau8VT_SP_Backup[] __attribute__((aligned(4))) = {0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF};In this case the 'Run Address (VMA)' is in FLASH but the compiler "optimises" things so that the value is not read from FLASH every time and does not update when the FLASH is written to.I have tried every combination of suggestion

Or if on the other hand, in the case of this chip this Middleware is not valid and it is necessary to proceed in a different way.Thanks!

Looking for a recommendation for generating a discrete number of pulses from PWM, for the example below i setup timer 1 to generate PWM and timer 2 with input capture interrupt to count the pulses, I did this with both rising and falling edge and both resulted with slight errors. I attempted to create a 3-pulse burst, but as can be seen it doesn't quite work. Any suggestions on how I can implement this better?  After 3 pulses on the interrupt, I stop PWM on channel 1. Rising Edge mode Tim2 interrupt mode, 3 full pulses generated plus a 4th partial.
