Hello, everyone! MCU: STM32F765ZIT. FLASH size: 2MB. I have a problem when running my firmware, with FreeRTOS, with or without a debugger. My code is crashing in the HAL_Init() function when nDBoot¹ is enabled. When I initialize the code through the debugger, it enters the HAL_Init()² function and crashes when trying to execute the HAL_MspInit() line, but I suspect that the problem actually occurs in the previous function, HAL_InitTick(TICK_INT_PRIORITY)³. My function uses Timer 7 as the default for the FreeRTOS tick, as recommended by ST itself when using this middleware. For testing purposes, I modified the HAL_InitTick function so that it would be similar to the HAL default⁴. Even after this modification, it did not work. So, after further testing, I decided to disable nDBoot (setting it as checked by STM32CubeProgrammer) and then the code worked perfectly. nDBank remained

Hello,- STM32H743-SPI2 Slave mode, RX onlyIf the frame has the format N x data + CRC, is it possible to receive the CRC and not just the result of comparing it with the calculated CRC?Receiving a CRC does not set the RXP bit and is not entered into the FIFO.An attempt to read the RXCRC register during transmission always gives the result of the CRC for the previous frame. I really need to calculate the CRC for the entire frame because I have the N x Data format without CRC. These are image frames and I want to recognize through CRC whether the frame is the same as the previously received one.But turning on SPI CRC mode means I don't have access to the last data.I tried to see if CRC is calculated with TSIZE=0 but the RXCRC register always returns a value of 0. BR JarekC  

I am using stm32l073rz neucleo board for my project.when i am trying to use uart 2 for my application, its not working as desired . That is when i connect A TTL module with the pins PA2 & PA3 on nucleo board i didn't get any output . But the same code perfectly works when i tried with USB . Problem: ADC reading a battery voltage jump by twice as much when the battery voltage goes from just under 3.55V to anything above (jump is about 1000 in raw adc reading at 12 bits).Background:We have a custom board with STM32G0B1CB on which we are trying to measure the battery voltage.VREF+ pin is tied to VDD which is fed by a DCDC at 3.5VThe battery can go from 2.75 to 4.5V and is fed to channel 1 (PA1) through a 100K : 100K resistor divider giving a max voltage on PA1 of 2.25V. The battery voltage is currently fed from voltage supply that is changed from 2.75V to 4.5V. As mentioned earlier, at around 3.55V the adc reading has a big jump of close to a 1000 raw value at 12 bit which is just baffling. I am trying to get a curve of adc raw value vs. battery voltage and this jump just breaks the pattern. 

Does ST have a good default MPU configuration for the STM32H573?  When I start a CubeMX project for the H7 series, it asks if I want to use a default configuration.  But for the H5 it does not.  While I can find forum posts regarding the need to disable iCache or use the MPU to work around hard faults, I have found no examples or suggestions for a default MPU setup for the H5.Also, the settings in CubeMx are different than on the H7 series.  The options are poorly documented and I'm not sure what they mean. Even the ARM documentation fails to explain what the options mean or do.  For example "MPU Device" options are all variations of MPU DEVICE nGnRnE, but the ARM documentation implies there should be a "Normal" option for here.  Also there is no "ALL ACCESS NOT PERMITTED" option for MPU Access Permissions.Anyway, I feel like ST should provide an example or summary for proper MPU setup for all on-chip memory/peripherals.  Where would

i am using nucleo-144, H743ZI2 board. while i am uploading code in the stm32cubeide i am getting error as "target not found". i have searched in the community and then tried connect the boot0 to high, and power the board, connect to cube programmer and erase full chip flash memory. while i do that i am not able to connect board. i am getting an error as: no stm32 target found. i have tried to connect boot 0 to vcc and power it. In the cube programmer i am unable to get the connect. and i have gone through the user manual of the board h743zi2 board, but there also i received the same answer. when i connect or power the board, we get the firmware right, i am getting mbed, details and failed also. in the fail text document i have "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU". what should i do? I want to upload the new code and will it be possible to erase the old code.

I noticed some options in the CUBE IDE for my H745's ADCs labelled "ADC 12-bit optimized resolution" and likewise for 14 bits. I have searched the references and the internet and find no explanation of how "optimized resolution" differs from the regular resolution. Does anyone know what this means, and where it is documented? Thanks

We are working on a design that includes an STM32U545 running at around 1MHz to save battery power for the overall board.  We have a requirement to write to an event log when the power is removed (this is the main operating power, not VBAT).The software will keep the STM32U545 in Stop 2 mode between external events and LPTIM1 events to further minimize power consumption, waking only long enough to read and evaluate the changes in the environment before stopping pending the next event.One of the events is from the power monitor circuit on the board that will change the level of a signal going into a GPIO of the STM32U5 when the power source (external or battery power, automatically selected by the power monitor) drops below the required voltage. Hi,I am having Nucleo 476RG board.I configure Alarm A. HAL_RTC_AlarmAEventCallback functions is called upon occurrence of Alarm.Now when I configure AlarmA and then enter standby mode, the board wakes up from the standby mode upon the occurrence of alarm but does not call the AlarmAEventCallback function. which means the RTC interrup handler is not called upon after the wakeup from standby mode.without standby mode, AlarmAEventCallback is called upon each time.with standby mode, the board wakes up every time on Alarm but does not call AlarmAEventCallback.Could any help on the above problem.Thanks,Best Regards,Hitesh

I cannot enter the bootloader with the BOOT0 pin in the STM32G0C1 while I can with the NUCLEO-G0B1RE.I already checked the option bytes, and tried with nBOOT_SEL = 0 and nBOOT_SEL = 1.In the Nucleo board, it seems this nBOOT_SEL has no effect at all, Nucleo always stays in bootloader if BOOT0 pin is HIGH after reset.In the STM32G0C1, the only way to enter bootloader is when the flash if fully erased.How can I force the bootloader at booting, using the external BOOT0 pin?Also nBOOT_SEL seems to configured to 1 as factory default.  

Hello, I have two stm32f411e-disco cards. I want to synchronize the clocks of these cards. In other words, I want the clock of one of them to run synchronously with the clock in the other stm. How can I follow a way. As an example, I can say the following application. Hi all, I've been battling an I2C issue for a couple of weeks, been through so many forum posts, and have tried a number of things, now I'm looking for some help to figure out what I'm missing. Problem Description:Master I2C device triggers slave transmit on STM32F101vft6.  Using HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_(IT|DMA), in the AddrCallback, the STM sends length, 2 bytes, then sends message, up to 400 bytes.  Common case is 22-28 bytes.  I2C Bus set for 100KHz, using clock stretch, master configured for up to 20ms clock stretch by the slave. In some cases, the STM32 slave has ~1ms clock stretch, and then fails to send any data.  Sometimes, it takes the clock low, and holds it there forever.  The hi2c reports the XferSize is 400, and the XferCount is 398, implying 2 bytes have been sent, but the scope does not show data on the i2c bus, (trigger condit

Hello,I am using the STM32F373's virtual USB port successfully.  I can connect and send packets to the uC from a web browser.  I now want to allow the user to update the firmware from the web browser by uploading a file, instead of the traditional method involving the ST flash software.  It would need to happen via WebSerial API so over the USB virtual port.  What is the best way to accomplish this?  Is there an appnote I should look at?  I'm looking at AN2606 [bootloader] and AN3156 [DFU] and AN3156 now.Thank you,

I have configured the ADC to use pins 1,2,3,4 for DMA transfer. I do get COM port output, however, I noticed that the outputted numbers aren't as they are supposed to be. The values for only 2 of the 4 pins change as they should.
