Hi,There seems to be an error in the reference manual RM0481 Version 2, page 264, table 48.In the circled image I believe this should be 0x08040000. Can you anyone please confirm my deductions?Kind Regards,Shane

Is it ok to keep unused peripherals in perpetual reset, by leaving their RCC_APBRSTR_*RST (or similar) bit set?Maybe differences in power consumption?This is not for a specific STM32 family.I'm just looking for advice by people with more experience, about possible pitfalls of doing so.

Heyho,I'm using a H733 with both SAI 1 and SAI 4 with SAI 1 as I2S clock master to get 8 synced audio channels.Audio clock comes from I2SCKIN, this is used for SAIs and I2S.Problem: because of the fixed oversampling ratio (256 or 512) of the SAI, I have to use an SPI/I2S peripheral to generate the "MCLK" to make 200 kHz possible, with 200 kHz x 128 = 25.6 MHz.That's basically working, but I wonder why sometimes at start (not while running) the MCLK (from SPI/I2S) shifts by 180° / is inverted, in relation to the SAI/I2S clocks (SCLK (=SCK), LRCK (=WS)).For regular audio stuff this is not a problem, but I have another slave on the I2S bus doing other things which needs a fixed phase relation between MCLK and LRCK / SCLK (previously controlled by an FPGA).So how are theses clocks generated that this phase shift can happen, with the same clock input , and "going through" the same hardware each time?What can I do to sync thes

Nucleo-G431 onboard stlink used normally before, but recently it suddenly couldn't be used, there was no response when connected to the computer with a USB cable, the computer could not detect the stlink (it can be determined that there is no problem with the USB cable, there is no problem with the computer driver, and there is no problem with connecting other stlinks), the power supply of the test main control chip is normal, and the crystal oscillator vibrates normally, what is the reason for this, is there a solution?

Hi, I am using STM32U575 MCU and implementing firmware upgrade feature in it using the ROM bootloader. The application code boots the bootloader by calling the following function. The firmware upgrades correctly and I verified that all the bytes are written correctly into the flash memory. But after upgrade the new application code does not boot up. I have to restart my nucleo board to boot the new firmware.Also, my application code uses following peripherals - GPIOGPDMA1I2C1 and I2C4TIM2, TIM3, TIM4, TIM15, TIM6UART1 and LPUART1SPI2If I use a simple blinky FW and on top of it I try to upgrade the FW, the upgrade works correctly, and the new FW boots up. However, if my actual application code is running and I do FW upgrade, the new FW does not bootup. I assume it could be an issue of peripherals not initializing correctly during boot up because on hardware reset the new F

I could not find a selector tool that would give me some guidelines of peripherals such as graphic accelerators (if needed) or other ones so to make an informed choice. Essentially at the moment the requirements are:- DSI interface with a resolution of 1024 x 768 (preferably 1280 x 800)- Transparency support (not sure if this requires special hardware or if there are ways around it so it is not required)- support for external fast memory (QSPI perhaps?) that transfers directly to the display (if such thing exists) because the application can potentially have a very large number of images- Animation support either GIF or APNG (Animated PGN) or fast images switching. Hi STM32 guys/gals,The gray/white signal is for reference only, and that's the signal I'd like the generated yellow signal to achieve when starts and stops. I'm using DMA in circular mode to generate the yellow signal. However, I'm struggling to command the signal to start and stop exactly in the middle, between peak to peak. Forcing either the timer interrupt to stop or disable the DMA will make it stop anywhere between peak-to-peak but not exactly in the middle all the time. Hi,I am trying to implement USB HS based on the USB PHY USB3300 (using board waveshare USB3300 ULPI) and STM32F446ZE (using Nucleo STM32F446ZE). I am using code sample from STM cube to run the trials. Board are connected with short wires (as short as possible). Later i will use a dedicated PCB with optimal routing. Firstly, i am able to communicate successfully over USB High Speed with my PC Host when i use the board waveshare USB3300 ULPI and the Nucleo STM32F446RE (Nucleo-64 featuring the device STM32F446RE in LQFP64 package).Secondly, as i need more GPIOs for the application, i must use the STM32F446ZE in LQFP144 package. So i now use the Nucleo-144 STM32F446ZE with the same board waveshare USB3300 ULPI. With this new Nucleo hardware i can access  the registers of the USB3000 (write and read operation are successful) but i cannot establish USB communication.

I'm new to programming, especially with regards to microcontrollers/stm32, so I don't really know how to debug efficiently. I'm using Keil uVision4 with my STM32VL Discovery. I'm trying to communicate with some inertial sensors over I2C, and I've written some functions using the I2C optimized examples firmware available from ST. If I use these functions I've written, I can communicate fine with the sensors. However, I recently came across the example code for STM's LSM303DLHC sensor, which has some rather more involved functions for altering the sensor's register values. When I use these functions, and just run my code, I get a bus fault. When I step through the program, the bus fault disappears. I haven't understood, and have had no luck in figuring out how to use the debug information (core registers and disassembly) to help me

Hello Team,We are using STM32H573AIIQ in our application. We are using SMPS to power the core supply. we have used external inductors and capacitors as per datasheet recommendations.When we tested the core supply, during power up, there is a overshoot of 300mV. Looks like it is clipping due to some internal diodes. I am not sure. Just wanted to know whether this overshoot will cause any damage to the uC?I am attaching the waveform below: Blue(uC 3.3V supply rail) Yellow ( smps core o/p)

 Hello everyone, I have an STM32F042K6 running a small application in a hard-to-reach enclosure. I want to use the USB interface for firmware updates. This interface is used for sending data. The bootloader is activated by a long button press. I already have this code running on an STM32F303, and it works great. Hi,I have decided to use the STM32H573xx microcontroller. According to the datasheet, there are two versions: one with SMPS and one with LDO. My requirements specify not to use the SMPS, so I chose the STM32H573ZIT3, which does not have the 'Q' suffix indicating the SMPS feature. However, I am unable to find the LDO version available for sale on any websites, and it is not listed on Silicon Expert. Could you please advise why the LDO version is not being sold and suggest a solution for obtaining it for my project? Thank you!

I am using nucleo-144, H743ZI2 board. while i am uploading code in the stm32cubeide i am getting error as "target not found". i have searched in the community and then tried connect the boot0 to high, and power the board, connect to cube programmer and erase full chip flash memory. while i do that i am not able to connect board. i am getting an error as: no stm32 target found. i have tried to connect boot 0 to vcc and power it. In the cube programmer i am unable to get the connect. and i have gone through the user manual of the board h743zi2 board, but there also i received the same answer. when i connect or power the board, we get the firmware right, i am getting mbed, details and failed document also. In the fail text document i have "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU". what should i do? I want to upload the new code and will it be possible to erase the old code. I have checked the vdd(JP4). i got around 2.5 volts which might be near to 3.3volts and

I would like to transmit data via USART and read the data sent to computer via a terminal(I have tried Putty and Real Term so far). To that end, I activate My USART configuration is seen as above. Hi,After I program an STM32G030F6P6 I can't connect again with the STMCubeProgrammer. I have checked that my boot pin is in the correct position but still I keep on getting the error:I have used a simple program that got generated by STM32CubeIde to download to the microcontroller.Is there a setting that sets the chip protected orso when programming the microcontroller?Kind regards edit: the simple program sets PA2 to USART_TX and PA3 to USART_RX, don't know it this could give an issue.

We are using STM32G473 controller for our project, In that MCU, we faced an issue in systick while using the  HAL_Delay() function.We have changed the NVIC preemption priority for Time base systick timer,Still the systick count was not incremented. What could be the reason behind that? can anyone give the suggestions to resolve this issue?

I have tested a TouchGFX-created project that should tie in a USB-Stick connected to the board and create a csv file, then write to it. After writing the necessary code and debugging this project in STM32CubeIDE, the board was stuck with a white screen, and further debugging was not possible anymore. Fortunately, I was able to connect to the board from STM32CubeProgrammer and I did a full chip erase. Now I am able to program again from STM32CubeIDE, but the code is not executed when debugging. The same project works with another STM32H745I-Disco board.In the programmer, the fault analyzer says the CPU is either halted or in lockup...Is there a way to save this one board, or is the debugger working but the main chip toast? Thanks!

STM32F722ZE & Winbond SDRAM is working fine with follow setting .W9825G6KH-6I 166MHz/CL3 or 133MHz/CL2   CASLatency = FMC_SDRAM_CAS_LATENCY_3; SDClockPeriod = FMC_SDRAM_CLOCK_PERIOD_3;my understanding was MCU main clock was divide by 2 is made on below .Initially  i kept the SDClockPeriod = FMC_SDRAM_CLOCK_PERIOD_2; but it's not working then i changed to SDClockPeriod = FMC_SDRAM_CLOCK_PERIOD_3; and then it's started working . i). what is exact speed now SDRAM is working 108Mhz or 72Mhz ?. ii). Initially i calculated  the  timing by 216Mhz/2 = 108Mhz = 9.26ns . should i need change the timing according to 72Mhz .??
