Is it possible to use any STM32 microcontroller, particularly the STM32H5, with the STEVAL-MKI227KA evaluation kit that based on LSM6DSV16X sensor? I’ve only found information regarding the STM32F4.

Hi!I am trying to run a 16-bit ADC on a Nucleo-H743ZI2 debug board. The measured voltage is DC, 1.25 Volts, obtained from the DAC output of the controller. ADC1 input is channel 5 (pin PB1 on the CN7 board connector is close to GNDA pin and a 6.8 µF tantalum capacitor is included between them). The measurement result is output every 0.3 seconds via USART3 to the terminal program on the PC. For programming I use CubeMX + IAR Workbench. Memory Protection Unit is enabled in the controller, as well as both caches: CPU ICache and CPU DCache. In the program generated by CubeMX, the internal voltage source VREFINT = 2.5 Volt is enabled. Fosc = 100 MHz. Asynchronous clock mode divided by 4. I used “Regular conversion launched by software”  with “End of single conversion” and Sampling time = 8.5 cycles. Hi all! I am new on STM32 this is my first project on STM32CubeIDE. I want to generate variable duty cycle using ADC with complementary PWM. When I did the code for one channel PWM it works well and the duty cycle varies  but when I did it for the complementary PWM it does not work . Here is a picture of the code. What should I do to make it works for the complementary PWM? Currently, I try to use an quadrature encoder connected on pins PC12, PC11 and PC10. All these pins have in common that they all can use Timer 8, for channels CHN1, CHN2 and CHN3. When I try to configure Timer 8 in Encoder mode; I can't select the CHN channels. Is there a way to use these pins as input for the encoder?    

Hello,I am working on a project with the STM32G0 series microcontroller. The MCU goes into the 'SHUTDOWN' state and wakes up when the wakeup timer times out. In the reference manual, it is mentioned that wakeup with BOR (Brown-Out Reset) is not available in SHUTDOWN mode.The manual also states that a power reset is generated when exiting from SHUTDOWN.

I set the X1 buffer size to 18 and preloaded it with 18 values. HAL_FMAC_FilterPreload_DMA returned 0 indicating success.Some cycles after that, I should see X1FULL go high when the DMA transfers complete. I'm not seeing this. Instead, X1FULL stays low and I see YFULL be '1' every fourth time I read FMAC->SR with Stlink+CubeProgrammer.If I preload the entire X1 buffer via DMA, should I see the X1FULL flag go high?How could reading the SR register generate the 000100010001000 pattern when I repeatedly read it? 

We have a design with two STM32H753XIH6.One is the primary MCU, the other secondary. They communicate over SPI.The built in SPI bootloader is used such that the primary MCU programs the secondary MCU.When we checkout a freshly built unit, the primary MCU is loaded with its firmware via STLink/SWD.Shortly after it starts running, it sees that the secondary MCU is not programmed, and programs it via the aforementioned SPI bootloader (mass erase command is sent, then the binary is written). Things have been running fine this way for more than a year.We have a new batch of units with a new batch of STM32's. The above procedure no longer works.What I have found is that the STM32 reports it has memory/flash protection enabled, and thus can't be erased.These are untouched STM32's, and when connecting to them with STM32CubeProgrammer, the option bytes appear normal/factory fresh. # OverviewI'm trying to add I2C1 in "controller mode" to an existing STM32U5G9 project, but am struggling to get it working.I am setting up the peripheral using HAL/LL calls and not relying on CubeMX setup.# What I'm SeeingThe goal is to have PG13 = SDA and PG14 = SCL with an I2C clock rate of 10kHz.  On those pins, I see no activity even though my firmware should attempt an I2C transaction after initializing the peripheral.  The two I2C pins just stay HIGH all the time.  (I have 4.7kOhm external pullups.)If I switch SCL to PB8, I do see some activity but it looks wrong (not enough clock pulses for SCL): 

Hello,We are using an STM32U585RIT6 and doing some power measurement. What we are seeing is that the current drops to within the expected range when we put the MCU to sleep, but the current changes over time.Basically:Go into stop mode 2Current measures around 22µA at first (entire board)The current then slowly moves down to around 17/18µA over the course of a couple minutes.The current will then jump up to ~28µA and then begin drifting down again.Doing the same test with stop mode 3 results in the same behavior, but all number are lower, including the jump. With stop mode 2 it jumps about 10µA, with stop mode three it only jumps about 4µA. The fact that the size of the jump (and that we've pulled nearly everything else off the board) indicates that the irregular current is related to the MCU.We've set every unused pin to be an input with a pulldown.Is this current drift normal with this MCU in slee

I'm using an STM32 to control a DC motor with a dual hall encoder feedback.To monitor motor position I want to use a General Purpose Timer (16bits) in Encoder Mode.The configuration is going well but I notice that the logic is reversed:When the motor is going forward, the TIM Counter goes down.When the motor is going backward, the TIM Counter goes up.I could fix this issue by flipping the wires, but I would prefer just changing a HAL configuration. Using CubeMx I tried to change the count direction settings without success (the behaviour stayed the same).Is there a way to flip the timer counter logic?Your help is appreciated.

Some parts of my application are driven by the SysTick timer, and I got into the practice of adding `HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_MAINREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI)` while polling a flag, knowing that the SysTick interrupt will wake the microcontroller and update the flag as needed.This got me thinking, can I do the same in the `HAL_Delay` function? Dear Community,I am currently using NUCLEO144-H563ZI board with STM32H563ZIT6 microcontroller to get ADC data via GPDMA1_CHANNEL1. The problem occurs when I change the optimization level in Keil(MDK-ARM version 5.26.2.0). If the firmware is compiled at optimization level O1, the DMA operate well and data can be read from destination memory. But if the firmware is compiled at optimization level O0, the DMA seems to be stuck in BUSY status. I simulate the process using Keil and find that if I comment out the code in red block in stm32h5xx_hal.c, the DMA can operate well even if at optimization level O0. Hi,I'm new to stm32g4 series and problaby have a basic question.I would like to check if it is possible to have this config:- ADC1 IN3 and IN4 as differential input (signal A)- ADC2 IN4 as single ended input (signal B)Then perform adc conversions in dual (interleaved) mode and get close to 4msps for signal A as well signal B. My concern is that IN4 is used on both peripherals, not sure if this is a problem, if I read the reference manual, it should not be a problem as long as they are not sampled at the same moment, therefore you need interleaved dual mode if I'm correct.Furthermore I would like to know if it's really possible to connect 3 peripherals to a single pin, like the PA0 pin:- COMP1_INM- COMP3_INP- ADC1_IN1

Hello everyone!I am trying to use DMA for the first time with an ADC.I think I have configured my ADC and DMA correctly to work together (see configuration below).Using the debug I notice that in the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function, the LL_ADC_REG_StartConversion function blocks the program and I never exit it. If I read the comment of this function, it says "If software start has been selected, conversion starts immediately."I think that in my ADC configuration I have configured "software start".Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?Thanks.

 I have tried to set the buffer for receiving data a location where DMA can reach(uint32_t dcmi_data_buff[2560] __attribute__((section(".ARM.__at_0x24040000")));). But every time I start DMA I got the same data and once I changed the location for buffer the data changed too. I also found it is the same as it was before DMA start.This seems HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA didn't work to get the data from DCMI.The data does not contain "FF D9" or "FF D8" in data so the data doesn't seem to be a jpeg photo. My interrupt is able to be triggered when my variable SIZE_OF_ARRAY is 10. However i want to be listening for large amounts of data so i change it to 1000 and my HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback function doesn't get called. Any idea why this is? I am using STM32U575ZITxQ. I want to capture several PWM signals, i.e. measure the pulse widthThe reference manual gives an example for TIM2 TI1 that uses channel 1 and channel 2 to measure pulse width and period. Therefore SMCR.TS bits are set to use filtered TI1 as trigger/reset.I want to do the same for TIM2 channel 3, but I don't see how I can set TI3 as trigger/reset sourceIs it not possible to have the individual channels of TIM2 (or any timer) reset by different sources? What I try to achieve is that a rising edge on TI1 starts CCR1 counting and have the value at a falling edge of TI1.And I want the same for a rising edge on TI3, starting CCR3 counting and have the value at a falling edge of TI3. How can I do this? As far as I have seen SMCR allows only TI1 or TI2 as trigger source (or other timers, but that does not help here?)
