Hi,I have the following configuration:1. ADC converts values and writes it to memory with DMA2. DAC outputs the ADC data also with a DMA3. Both, the ADC and the DAC are triggered by HRTIM TimerA at a rate of 700kHzAll works fine, I can see the data coming out on DAC.In my program I need to change the period value of Timer A occasionally. If I do the first write to Timer A period register, the DAC stops with a underrun error. I have figured out that it doesn`t matter which HRTIM register I write to, if a write happens it ends up in underrun error of DAC. There is no DMA tranfer error only the underrun error. In HRTIM configuration I have enabled preload and I use HAL_HRTIM_UpdateEnable() and HAL_HRTIM_UpdateDisable() before doing a write acces to the registers, but it's still not the solutions and the program ends up in DAC underrun error. Additional obser

I am experiencing issues with the VBAT pin on the STM32H563ZIT6 microcontroller. Specifically, the VBAT pin is not responding properly. I am using a CR2032 CMOS battery for RTC backup, but it is not maintaining the date and time as expected. When the power supply is off, the RTC does not hold and run correctly, but it resumes running once the power supply is restored.I have attached the circuit diagram for your reference. I am using the STM32U575 Nucleo board and have configured ADC4 IN3 to read ADC values using DMA. I referred to a tutorial video to set up the DMA for ADC. At 5:15 minutes into the tutorial video, there is  an option called 'Conversion Data Management Mode', which I did not find when configuring ADC4 on my STM32U575 Nucleo board. However, this option is available when I configure ADC1. Due to pin constraints, I must use ADC4. Can you please help me read ADC values using ADC4 with DMA?"

I have an STM32G4 board that is to function as a virtual COM port via USB.  This is my first attempt at implementing USB. Within CubeIDE, I enabled the USB feature and configured a middleware device for the virtual COM port. I’m not seeing the PC react in any way when I connect the board. I’m not sure where to begin to debug and I don't see any examples for the STM32G, so I'm also not sure if I've completed all the needed steps for it show up as a PC device.Can I observe connection progress with the PC via the USB registers? If I had an electrical failure on the USB connection, what diagnostics could I run in software from the PC?

Problem : GPIO PB7,8 is pull up in reset state.Reproduction: After Clearing Reset  (Reset Goes low)  the voltage on PB7 and PB8 goes high. uc is erased. We have external pull down connected to those pins (100k), but the signal stays at 2.5V Could you confirm that pull-up in reset mode on those pins is correct behavior?  I suspected that GPIO should go to input mode and pull down pull up should be disabled.     

Hello,I am currently trying to setup a timer to measure time in between two pulses. I have managed to get it working with the code below but the issue is that I get very imprecise readings on the frequency. I get an error that is hovering around 1-1.5%, what can I do to minimize this error or is it not possible to get less then 1% error in this type of reading? (The setting in values is done within the init function. Hi All,I am using a STM32U575QI and I am wondering if it would be possible to create my own boot loader and then split my FLASH into 2 sections. I know I can get the boot loader application to start at address 0x0800000 and I have offset the vector table and applicationA.But what I am trying to figure out if it is possible to split FLASH in the linker file to allow me to have two applications, it would be the same project but two different versions of it. Basically I want the boot loader to run and I want to read application A and B from an SD card and store them in FLASH. Then have my boot loader run and decide which application to run.From some research I know it can be possible with the two banks on the device without the need for a boot loader but wondered if it would be possible this way with a boot loader and 2 sections of FLASH.Would I need to have a project each for application A and B and specify where the vector table is for both of them in each

I am using a STM32L431KCU6 microcontroller and reading data from I2C every 90ms. I would like to implement a sleep mode to achieve lower power consumption, I am using timer6 which generates an interrupt every1ms for system run time. I was thinking I can change the timer period to be 90ms prior to put the device on sleep and when TIM6 interrupt happens (wake up the processor) I can change the period to 1ms for normal operation.  is this possible? and how can I achieve this? I don't have any experience in using sleep mode but I have been reading similar questions and I've seen WFI coming up very frequently.  Is there any example codes available? or documentation which can assist in writing code?  Thanks in advance and appreciate any help. Kind RegardsManpreet Singh

I am trying to use DMA with PWM data on STM32 I need clarification on few parameters setting and facing few issues.Q1. While configuring DMA for PWM data in tha CUBE MX, there is a option for increment Address and selector for Peripheral or Memory.What does it mean?Q2. What does Use FIFO option means, if turned onQ3. Data Width selector, there are options for byte, Half word and Word. Hey all,I am using a B-L072Z-WLAN1 that talks to another of the same board using LoRa peer-to-peer. The board I am having issues with is supposed to receive how many pulses to send from the other board, then send them using pwm one-shot mode to PA0. Using a live watch expression on pulsesSent, I found that the pwm stops working after exactly 427 pulses. I am completely lost as to why this is happening. I tried to send data over UART to my NUCLEO Board, then send it to my Lora gateway but I am not able to recieve or transmit any data via UART to my board. I have a question can I use UART with the SX1272 mbed shield ? If yes how to configure it without ioc file ?Thanks in advance

I am having a strange (to me) issues trying to program an STM32H743VI.I have had the PCB manufactured and assembled by a different supplier and all of a sudden I cannot program the STM32H743....I do not have the NRST pin back to the STLink-V2, only the SWDIO pins, GND and 3V3.It's as if it is not booting correctly, but not quite sure where to look to see what is happening, or what could have changed!  Certainly the design is identical, only the supplier is different.I have verified the 100nF cap on NRST, and the 10K resistor on BOOT0.  Both OK.

I have a custom designed board using a STM32F429IET6 and LAN8742A.While attempting to bring-up ethernet and LWIP (fails w/o LWIP at the same spot) the code continuously fails in stm32f4xx_hal_eth.c in `HAL_ETH_Init` while waiting for the SW reset to complete after setting the SR bit in the DMABMR register.I've attempted copying as closely as possible the development board design (Nucleo-F429ZI) in software. The only differences that I can see are:- We use PG14 for RMII TXD0 instead of PB13.- We are using a 25MHZ external clock instead of the 8MHZ the Nucleo-F429ZI uses, but both running the board HCLK @ 168MHZ.- We use a dedicated reset line from the MCU PA6 to the nRST line on the LAN8742.- The Nucleo has the RXER pin going through a 10k then to GND. We also have a 10k to GND but it also ties to PB10. Currently, we have the PB10 pin not setup.This is where the timeout is happening in stm32f4xx_hal_eth.c (s

I am using st-flash version of 1.8.0 to flash the binary into Nucleo H563ZI. In this process i have used erase command "st-flash --connect-under-reset erase" to check whether the hardware works or not. Hello I need to send a string via USART every 500ms. I tried to use DMA that seems to be easy to configure. USART transfer works but only without DMA (test in while main cycle). I do not see any problem in DMA configuration. After configuring RTC time and again rechecking after 1 day the time starts to move ahead or time advances by few seconds. After 3 weeks RTC shows 15 seconds more than the actual time. I am using two quadrature encoders through the STM32F411CEU6 timer encoder mode. Here is the graph for one of their CNT values:As you can see, it takes about 400ms to update the value, but when it does, it seems accurate. How can I make it so that it doesn't do this?
