Posted on April 26, 2018 at 09:34Hello all. My problem is as follows.I would like to set an event in the future, lets say 950ms, at one specific point in the code. Then I would like to set the STM32L432 in Stop2 mode, wake up the MCU near the event, lets say at 750 ms so it can wake up another device, and then do the task at 950ms.I thought that LPTIM can fire two interrupts, one related to HAL_LPTIM_CompareMatchCallback, and the other related to HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback.I setup an example to see how it would work.In CubeMX I configure LPTIM1 as 'Counts internal clock events', and choose LSE as the LPTIM1 clock mux. LSE frequency is 32768 Hz, and set div2 as preescaler. So each time interval is 61.035 us. In the setup I set 'update at the end of the period' and software as trigger.In the main function after setup all the peripherals, I call to HAL_LPTIM_TimeOut_Start_IT(&hlptim1, 65535, 16383);

Hello guys !I am new at the embedded systems and I am trying figure it out ! I am using STM32F446VET7.I connected my buzzer to an GPIO pin(PB12) which has no pwm speciliaties.But my buzzer is not working when I connected to the DC signal source like 5V. So I need an PWM kinda source.When I resarch I only found source codes for PWM Generation channels with Timer. My GPIO has no timer and I cannot change my design right now. Can I do the same job with Systick timer or something like that. I just need a 1 second beep sound, nothing more.Here is my design in hardwareand the datash

HiI'm trying to working on Enabling the TCP Server on STM32 NUCLEO-F767ZI using the LWIP stack and RAW APII am able to ping to the board & also connect to it. However, when I send a text data from Hercules say "123" then I receive "123". However, according to the code it should send me "123 + Hello from STM32"Can someone please help me with this ? I'm stuck with this for quite some time

I used STM32F446VET7 on the board I PCB printed. When I use HSI, I can debug without any problem, but when I want to use HSE, SystemClock_Config(); function enters ErrorHandler().Can you help me?

I can not find any instruction in documents about gpio configuration in alternate function mode. For example I want to configure SPI GPIO. Examples found in the internet have different configuration. Is it unimportant to configure push pull and pull up/down parameters?

Dear Stm32 users,I currently plan to design an analog function generator and capture System.The old System used an analog lock in amplifier circuit to excite and capture noisy signals from a measurement source.For cost and pcb size saving i am considering to switch to a software Version as i can speed up the measurement by using a multisine instead of a swept sine. The frequency range is 10kHz to 1Mhz. A good Resolution is around 1k to 2k Points per decade.My current plan would be using a function generator with variable frequency to trigger the internal dac and adc at up to 10 MHz. Both using ring buffers. The captured data is stored in an external psram chip for later Analysis. The storage qspi transfer is triggered at half point of euch conversion.Do you think this is feasable? What do you think would be a viable ic? STM32L4? P.s.A Sampling rate of a maximum of 10MSPS should suffice.According to [AN4566](

Hi,I´m running ADC1 (IN1, IN2, IN6, IN7) with DMA process. Everything works fine. But if I try to initialize afterwards the DAC1_OUT1 (normal or DMA - both tried) I get a hard fault. Is there a general collision between DAC and ADC or would could be the problem.Best regards,Achim

I have faced this issue, all the parts of my MCU registers are null. If I press "step over" button, it goes right, but when I press "resume" button, it goes as the following picture. I notified this issue when I was implementing a LCD project. I have cleared Flash memory through STM32programming software, but nothing happened.Please help me, thanks in advance.P/s: I use STM32f407VGT6 

Hello,I have an STM32L432KCU chip that's on a custom board. I have exposed SWD pins for debugging and flashing. Currently I'm only able to flash and debug the chip if I supply the STM with 2.2v from my external power supply. If I run the STM at the standard 3.3v, I get the "No STM3 target found" message when using CubeIDE, plus running CubeProgrammer, I also cannot connect to the STM to read the flash contents but can at 2.2v. These are fresh chips with no previous firmware flashed onto them, so I don't believe they should be in low power mode. Even if they happen to be in low power mode from the factory, I flash them at 2.2v with a default program to ensure they aren't running in a low power mode.After flashing the chip at 2.2v, I can supply the normal 3.3v and the chip runs just fine. However, for me to debug or flash new firmware, I can only get it to run at 2.2v. Any ideas?

I have been trying to figure out which code exactly needs to be put in SRAM4 memory region for the LPBAM tool to work. All the examples I could find only use SRAM4 and fail to explain which parts are strictly needed to be placed in that part of the memory. For a project I am using a number of timers to generate and/or monitor digital signals in a custom protocol. I stumbled upon a glitch in a timer Output Compare channel which I would like to share to find whether this is recognized and if there is a possible solution.One of the timers is used in Encoder mode to detect the start and stop of the applicable protocol. Only when one of the signals is high, a rising edge on the other signal identifies the start of a message where a falling edge while the other signal is high identifies the end of a message. When detecting a start, one Output channel 3 is set high (output compare functionality). When detecting a stop the Output Compare channels is set low again. Doing so I generate a signal which is high while a message is present.

I have configured the STM32F030 with DMA for RX, and when sending 0x05 from a PC, I observed 0x7d on the debugger. Upon checking HAL_UART_GetError() during reception, it showed HAL_UART_ERROR_FE. I am unsure about the cause of this issue. Could you please help?

I'm encountering an issue with the ADC on my STM32H745ZIT6 microcontroller when reading voltages from a power supply. Here's the problem in detail:I'm using the ADC to convert analog voltages from a power supply into digital values. However, I've noticed significant inaccuracies in the ADC readings across all voltage ranges. For example, when the power supply outputs 6V, the ADC reads 6.22V consistently, and similar deviations occur across other voltage levels.I've ensured that the power supply voltages are stable and within the operating range specified for the ADC. The issue is persistent and does not seem to be related to specific voltage thresholds. Has anyone else in the community encountered similar issues with the STM32H7 series ADC? If so, how did you resolve them? Any insights or suggestions on how to troubleshoot or resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi,  I am attempting to obtain readings from the LIS2DTW12 accelerometer on board, utilizing the SPI interface and an STM32F098RCT6 microcontroller.I’m accessing the ‘who_am_i’ register along with the high and low registers for the x, y, and z axes. Upon debugging, I’ve found that the high and low values for the x, y, and z axes are consistently 0xff, resulting in raw x, y, and z values of 0xffff. Hello, My STM32G030F6P6 is working fine with the power supply from Laptops USB Port. I am just running simple I2C Scan program. When I power up the STM with charging adapter it is not able to show me the i2c scanned devices on serial monitor. I am using Arduino to get data through uart and display it on the serial monitor.Please provide the necessary circuitry to make stm chip work with any power supply like various charging adapters.

I've always been a little unsure about how FIFO manages data transfer, so I ran a little experiment with a logic analyzer to understand it better, the result confused me even more.I set up OCTOSPI to transmit 128 bytes to an external QSPI memory, with MDMA to handle the data transfer from DTCM to OCTOSPI data register. OCTOSPI FIFO Threshold = 16.MDMA uses Buffer Transfer mode with buffer transfer size = 16 bytes.MDMA buffer transfer is triggered by OCTOSPI FIFO threshold request.I enabled MDMA's Buffer Transfer Complete interrupt, for the sole purpose to toggle a pin in the ISR as an indicator that OCTOSPI FIFO has requested a buffer transfer.Ok so with this setup I expect to see 8 buffer transfers (16 bytes each) by MDMA to move 128 bytes of data top OCTOSPI FIFO. Hi All,We have design schematic using STM32H753BIT6 microcontroller and as of now we have cleared all EMI/EMC tests except Radiation emission. We could able to see the harmonics of 60MHz crossing the margin.We have System clock running at 480MHz, LCD Clock at 60MHz, SDRAM clock at 100MHz and USB clock at 60MHz.We did some of the experiments in finding out the source of the emission using near field probes and spectrum analyzer and got the source point.USB clock output is connected to microcontroller as input with series termination resistor of 33R. when we disconnect this path to microcontroller, we are not able to see any 60MHz harmonics.The trials we did to reduce radiations is as follows.1. We changed series termination resistor 33R to 50R to change rise time and fall time of clock, but this didn't help in reducing the radiations.2. We replaced series termination resistor with Ferrite bead still there is no improvement.3. We

Board: NUcleo 64-G474  I just want to read 2 channels of an ADC but am presented with a bewildering array of incredibly confusing options: Ranks, Continuous mode, discontinous mode, number of conversions, oversampling, triggers, etc, etc, etc. The embedded "help" is completely useless.I have two SE channels of ADC1 enabled (1 and 2), and I want to sample them both NOT in DMA. Seems reaonsonable but after hours of trying I can find nothing that works, and no resources to help. Helle everyone,I want to use the littleFS file system library that I used in my previous projects in STM32H753 Internal Flash Memory. But the fact that the block size in STM32H7 is 128K made me think a little. I normally use littleFS on 1K blocks and get great results. Has anyone used littleFS on STM32H7 platforms before? Or if a problem occurs while integrating STM32H7 and littleFS;   lfsConfig.block_size = 1K lfsConfig.block_count = 128   do you think I can edit it like this?  Sincelery

I'm developing a system with a GMS module, where AT commands are sent to the module via an STM32L0.In this case, I'm having problems with the AT+CSTT command, which was giving me an ERROR. I have an  STM32L452 part in a system with multiple DMA and interrupt operations going on.The main problem I'm having right now is _sometimes_ I don't get the interrupt for DMA RX on UART4. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.I have been adjusting the NVIC priorities and have set "UART4 Global Interrupt", and "DMA2 Channel 2 Global Interrupt" (the DMA for UART4) at the highest priority (0), and given that DMA the highest priority among the other DMAs I have a strong feeling that the issue is related to interrupt preemption, and that the UART 4 interrupts not being reset correctly. However, the issue persists even when when I give UART 4 max priority over everything. The code is to complex to post, but I'm hoping that someone can throw out some ideas for me to check out?Thank you!

Hello Community,Reaching out to you for feedback on the attached configuration for Vcc on my new STM32 based DAQ board.My objective was to reduce the inductance to the Vcc pins of the MCU (STM32G0B0RET6 64 LQFP package). Hence I clubbed three pins:A) VBATB) VREF+C) VCCAltogether & decoupled them as attached in the following layout.
