Hi everyone, I facing some issues with the custom flash loader tool and MCU, I developed the tool and bootloader code of the STM32H503RBt6 controller, and I flashed the hex file using the custom tool, its works but the data is not flashed in the controller,I configured the HSI Clock frequency 64Mhz(default freq),  set the voltage scaling is 2, FLASH_ACR_WRHIGHFREQ is 01,I was debugging step by step, it flashed properly but normally(without debugging) it's not working. I can't understand it.Anyone, please help to resolve this error, and suggest some ideas to develop the toolI have lot of questions, like what freq range is used to MCU in the custom bootloader, voltage scaling level and FLASH_ACR_WRHIGHFREQ ( to better convenient)

Thank you for reading.I am trying to use the STM32H735 for PSRAM memory reading and writing. The PSRAM model is ISS66WVO32M8DBLL.In all the materials I read, it is stated that DQS should be enabled. But in fact, when I set it this way, it will make the data offset more severe, which is why?The situation is as follows:Use indirect mode to write 16 numbers to PSRAM memory, then read, when I disable DQSM, read data offset by 1 bit, the first data read more than once, the last data was chipped off; When I enabled DQSM, the data shifted even more, and there were even problems of data overread and misread. The change of address and the data volume phenomena are consistent, so I have reason to doubt whether the bit can be aligned when reading the data?

MCU use : STM32U073RBT6STM32CubeIDE use : 1.16.0 We are currently working on a project that require to read the ID Code of the MCU. The software work well when ran in debug mode, but return 0 when running without the debug mode running.The code that we use today to access to the ID Code is: uint32_t idcode = DBGMCU->IDCODE  We looked to the address base of DBGMCU and everything looks fine (0x40015800). When looking online we saw that there is a similar errata on the STM32F101x8/B, STM32F102x8/B and STM32F103x8/B (https://www.st.com/resource/en/errata_sheet/cd00190234-stm32f101x8-b-stm32f102x8-b-and-stm32f103x8-b

Hi,I'm currently trying to figure out how to properly upload a program to an STM32. I'm using VS Code with the STM32 Extension. I've noticed an issue where uploading the program using either a .elf file or a .bin file results in different values in a specific location in the FLASH memory. In one case, I get 0xFF and in the other 0x00. Although this doesn't seem to affect the program's execution, it causes a problem when calculating CRC for program integrity, as I get different results.Additionally, if I upload the program using the Debugging mode directly in VSCode, it again writes 0xFF at that location instead of 0x00.I'm calculating the CRC using a Python script, which reads from the generated .bin file. This CRC value is then uploaded alongside the program into the flash memory, and I check it to ensure it matches the CRC calculated by the script. Hello.i need to make EEPROM emulator for data storage here i am using stm32l432kc controller. and i am using last 4 pages of internal flash memory to emulate EEPROM. start address of page 124 is 0x0803E000 end address of page 127 is 0x0803FFFF. each page size is 2KB and data should be updated every minute (data=ADC voltage value with timestamp) and this data should be retain or keep minimum 4 hours in storage. kind you help me inputs to write code. and how to write code.

Dear community,I'm currently working on a student project where we need to analyze the performance of the FMAC unit of the STM32G4. My idea is to implement an FIR filter and measure how many clock cycles the FMAC operation takes to filter a predefined set of test data. I also plan to measure the execution time. After that, I intend to compare the results by implementing the same FIR filter in software using the CMSIS library.I found AN4841 , which demonstrates performance measurement results of the CMSIS FIR filter on two different STM32 platforms.Since I've never done this kind of performance benchmarking before, my question is how are the number of cycles and duration measured? Should we use the SysTick timer or the DWT unit for time measurement?Thank yo

Our design involves storing the images in external flash. Images are fetched in run time from external flash and displayed on LCD. Is there a built-in integrity check to verify the validity of the bitmap before displaying on the LCD?A question came up where external flash wear and tear can lead to change in binary bits. Now these corrupted images can cause problems.

Hi ,I am working on to implement functionality to detect flash 2 bit ECC error. To test my implementation followed below method in STM32U5 reference manual. With this method,  I am able to generate flash 2 bit ECC error.However I have following observations SYS_ECC  bit in FLASH_ECCR register sets upon NMI generation and never clears 2 NMI interrupts generated instead of 1. Is this is expected behavior. Hello, We are using STM32H573AII3Q in our application. It has in-built SMPS for core power supply. Just wanted to know can we disable this SMPS and use seperate external 1V LDO to power the core?

Hello,Can anyone suggest whether or not I need to connect external capacitors to the VREF+ pin if I plan to use VREF only for the onboard DAC?Could this be a hardware problem?STM32G431CBT6. The problem is that on the oscillogram I see oscillations with an amplitude of approximately 490 mV on the VREF+ pin. This is when Scale 2 is set to 2.9 V. If I reduce to 2.5V, the swing will be almost 1V overall. Nothing but the 1:10 oscilloscope probe is connected to the VREF+ pin on the board.Below are the screenshots.

I use STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 to do project and use STM32H743.when my code is over 512K, I re-write ld file,but download is failed.But I use STM32CubeProgrammer to download  the same elf file,it worked!!!  So what's wrong about it ?

Hello,I'm using a STM32F479VI but I do not need the DSI (display) functionality for my current application.It seems that block runs on a independent power supply derived from VDD.Can I leave the DSI power pins floating or should I power them anyway?

Hello, This is how an STM32F479VI appears in CubeIDE without doing any configuration.DSI is actually disabled, but the pin are light green and set RESET_STATE when I hoover over them.What is CubeIDE trying to tell me?I do not want to use DSI in this board, I will keep it disabled, do I need to do any configuration with this pins?Regards,

Hi,I am currently working on STM32H7S3 family. I want to set up SAI2 peripherals on CubeMX application. But, SAI2 can be enabled from multimedia, only SAI2B can be activated. SAI2A cannot be enabled from the Mode and Configuration screen. You can find the CubeMX screen shots below. In data sheet there is no problem with SAI2A interface.

HelloI design a PCB and I am using STM32F446VET7When I try to debug in competely clear project (created from STM32Cube IDE - Cube mx)I got the void HardFault_Handler(void) function after  SystemClock_Config();. With HSE or HSI dosent matter I got the same error. I got 2 more same PCB which work fine, so my design is not problem.I recheck my solder and change my mcu still the same.I also check the BOOT0 pin which connected GND. What could be the problem?

Hi, I have designed the custom board for STM32L073 series. Initially i have tested the code/firmware in Nucleo board of same part number, and we have designed the board keeping nucleo board schematic as reference. The code works fine in Nucleo board, but in the custom board it takes multiple reset to start the same code.For example if i take simple GPIO toggle program in the custom board, i found in the debug session it hangs/stops atif (HAL_RCC_ClockConfig(&RCC_ClkInitStruct, FLASH_LATENCY_0) != HAL_OK)  ,  but it works fine in Nucleo board. In some cases when i start debug session it directly goes to HARD FAULT.Currently i am using HSI clock source.Kindly help me with this issue

Hi,I have setup the ADC in STM32H753ZIT6 to sample 4 channels with DMA in circular mode. This works as expected and I can check the values being updated in the "Live Expressions" tab.But there is an offset, which I can only get rid of, if I perform the calibration of the ADC each time I start the ADC.The reason I start the ADC and calibrate again, is that seems to be the only way to get correct results.  The DMA is setup to circular mode, so normally the ADC would only be started once. But as explained, this leads to an offset on all ADC values of some 0.05V.Any help is appreciated. Hi All,Hope you are doing well.I am working on SPI communication between two STM32 boards (F7 as master and WB55 as slave), but I am encountering issues with reliable data transfer.The problem arises with the transfer of 2-byte data packets. Initially, the data is transmitted successfully for a certain number of iterations, but after that, the received data becomes corrupted. Additionally, there are instances where the received data is incorrect from the very beginning of the communication.I am using the example SPI communication code provided by STM32, with one board configured as master and the other as slave.Has anyone experienced similar issues or can provide insights on how to ensure more reliable data transfer between the boards?MY SPI Settings:Parameters

Hi,We are using STM32G473CEU3 in our designWe have a situation that when MCU is powered off, 3.3V appears on one of the IO pins from an external circuit with 2mA of sourcing. Will this damage the MCU or is it ok?
