STM32 MCUs Products

Hi,I want to make the system with stm32f4 series mcu. An important function of the system is to control the Ethernet speed.Is it possible to adjust the Ethernet speed with such detailed figures as 65Mbps, 38Mbps, and 300Kbps??If possible, how can I adjust it? When I looked at the data sheet and reference manual, the only values that could be set at the register level were 10Mbps and 100Mbps.I thought Changing the main operating clock on the mcu could increase and decrease the Ethernet speed, but would the way I thought work?

Hi I want to use the STM32U5A9VJ6Q_SMPS inbuilt chip in one of my projects. I plan to run the chip with 3.3V. Is it feasible to run at 3.3V for all pin functions?    

Is there any known way to detect if a double word 0xffffffff value has been programmed? I’m not seeing any quick way, other than finding out after getting flash error bits set. The bootloader I’m working with checks the sector for all 0xff to avoid erasing time, but with ecc that doesn’t tell if it has ecc flash programmed or not.

ADC1 clocked @ 65 MHz, pre-scaler of 8, 7 channels active, 640.5 cycles/conversion, 256 oversampling, interrupts, scan mode. The numbers suggest all channels will be converted 1x in (8/65000000) * 640.5 * 7 * 256 = 141 ms. But when I look at uwTick before HAL_ADC_Start_IT() and after 7 conversions complete, I get 37 ms. Why the discrepancy?

Hi ,I am writing multiple chunk of each 48 bytes to Flash by following flash programming sequence mentioned in STM32 U5 Reference manual. However some chunks are written properly where some chunks are still remains 0xFF. I am working on a project that uses a PWM on a timer to drive a buzzer.  When the buzzer stops I need to set the output compare signal high.  The timer set ARR to 250, and the compare value to 125, giving a 4kHz square wave with a 50% duty cycle.   I start the timer by enabling it (TIM2->CR1 &= ~TIM_CR1_CEN), and stop the timer by disabling it. (TIM2->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_CEN).  What I need to do is make sure the output is high when it is disabled.  I tried setting the count value (TIM2->CNT = x) and thought that if I set the count below the 125 threshold, the output would stay low, and if i set the count above the 125 threshold, the count would stay high, However setting the count seems to make no difference to the output compare level.Anyone have any idea how I can stop the count with the output compare in a defined state?

Hello,On my project, I use FDCAN1 and FDCAN2. Hello everyone,I have been working on a custom bootloader for the STM32H735 microcontroller and I am encountering an issue when attempting to jump to my main application stored in external flash memory. Here's a brief overview of what I've done so far:Developed a Demo Bootloader: I started by creating a demo bootloader based on the ExtMem_Boot example. This bootloader successfully jumps to applications stored in external flash memory. Both a simple application (printing RTC values, just for TESTING) and a more complex application with multiple functionalities work perfectly when jumped to from this demo bootloader.Developed a More Complex Bootloader: I then developed a more complex bootloader that includes functionalities like CRC calculation, erasing sectors, and loading a new image from an SD card. This bootloader also successfully jumps to the simple RTC application without any problems.

Hi, I am working on a realtime audio DSP product using the STM32H7 with a AS4C4M16SA-7BCN SDRAM chip for long delay line memory. I am using the FMC controller with the settings in the attached photo:The product processes an incoming audio stream in real time, so this is a very runtime critical application. Hi,I need to generate ~8khz PWM on 40 pins with at least 1% resolution. I was thinking about solution using GPIO ports D,G,F and DMA2 streams 1,2, 7 which are all triggered by TIM8 (TIM8_UP, TIM8_CH1, TIM8_CH4/TRIG/COM).I am worried about the data transfer speed of the DMA. 8khz, with 1% resolution means 0,8Mhz x 3 ports = 2,4Mhz DMA streams. Reffering to documentation it takes about 8 APB clock cycles to process and perform DMA transfer which means that it takes about ~20M clockcycles/sec and APB2 is running currently at 84Mhz. This seems quite a lot and Im worried about saturating the bus.Can someone correct me please? How big of a problem this could potentially be? How fast i can go with this?Thank you very much in advance!

I am trying to use the 16 MHz HSI as the clock source for I2C. When I set up the I2C_TIMINGR bits for 100kbps I2C, everything works fine. When I try to set up for 400kbps, it still works, but the timing is not 400kbps. Does the accuracy of the HSI decrease when using I2C at higher speeds? The I2C speed comes out to around 300 kbps when using the HSI. I am setting the I2C_TIMINGR register so that the SCLH and SCLL are both 0x13 (19 decimal) because if you plug this into the formula provided, it comes out to have both the high and low part of the I2C clock to 1.25 usec. SCLH is the high part of the clock, SCLL is the low part of the clock.Formulas are tSCLH = (SCLH + 1) x tPRESC and tSCLL  = (SCLL + 1) x tPRESC. tPRESC is 62.5 nsec. I am setting both SCLH and SCLL to 0x13 and am expecting to get 1.25 usec. That is not what it is coming out to when I look at I2C traffic on a scope.

I am confused:I have a PCB designed for STMU575 and I am using USB FS - works.USB DM and DP are pins PA11 and PA12.On U575:- all fine as USB FS, available via AF10 (PA11 = OTG_FS_DM, OTG_FS_DM) - worksI have checked the packages and pin assignments and saw: U5A5 is identical with U5A5 (and I want to solder U5A5 due to larger memories instead of U575).But UA5A datasheet is a bit different on PA11, PA12:1. it mentions "OTG_HS_DM(boot)" as "additional functions"2. in pin mux ALT table: there is nothing under ALT10 - there is NOT an ALT option to configure PA11, PA12 as USB pin

Hello,I have a Nucleo board with an STM32F767Zi using its I2C master to test a third party chip that is an I2C slave. Unfortunately the slave occasionally fails (stops sending bits) and the STM32 master driver does not recover, it needs a hard reset to clear the fault.This setup works fine with other devices where we transmit a 16-bit 'memory address' for each i2c read/write.I see failures about 1 in 10,000. I think there is a bug in HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit_DMA()  and/or HAL_I2C_Master_Receive_DMA(), maybe a DMA timeout not happening.Has anyone else seen a bug like this?Any tips for debugging the i2c driver?The drivers were generated by ST Cube in 2017, with mods from ST Support to run 1MHz I2C master. Updating to drivers generated by the latest STCubeMX is a last resort because we would have to fully re-test another device that uses this platform.

Hi there,I recently transitioned my project from the STM32L0CBT6 chip, which has a 128KB flash size, to the STM32L072CZ variant with 192KB of flash memory. As I progressed with my project, the only modification I made was adjusting the flash memory region length in the linker script file to accommodate the larger capacity of the CZ variant.Here is the snippet of the updated linker script:MEMORY{FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 192KRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 20K}Given that the difference between the two variants lies in their flash memory size and the startup files are set for stm32l0xx , I am considering whether I can retain the .ioc file and startup files originally configured for the CB variant. I am relatively new to STM32 development and would appreciate confirmation that this approach is suitable for my project.Thank you.

With DCMI (with DMA) and USART only 1.5FPS, why is the frame rate really low? The output is set to QVGA and formatted as JPEG.

Hello everyone,I am working with the STM32G0B1KEU6 microcontroller, which comes in a 32-pin package featuring only ports A, B, and C. According to AN2606, the internal bootloader uses the following pins:FDCAN1_Rx pin: Input PD0, used in alternate push-pull, pull-up mode.FDCAN1_Tx pin: Output PD1, used in alternate push-pull, pull-up mode.Given that these specific pins (PD0 and PD1) are not available on my microcontroller, I am curious to know:Can the internal bootloader still be utilized without these pins?Are there alternative pins that can be used for the bootloader functionality on this microcontroller?If the above options are not feasible, does this mean that the bootloader feature is not available for the STM32G0B1KEU6?Any insights or experiences with similar configurations would be greatly appreciated.
