STM32 MCUs Products

Per spec. STM32H747 has 1MB on-chip memory available. However, how that memory mapped is something I don't quite know. Linker allocates 256K @ 0x2000000 for code, and there's some DMA memory @ 0xD000000, but it's size is mystery as there's no explicit definitions for it.

Hi Team,Currently, I have a product developed with an STM32L476RE as its main processor. This equipment is battery-powered and is used by our customers to perform measurements in remote places. After performing the measurements, this equipment is connected to a computer, and our sofware developed in LabVIEW communicates with the STM32 MCU via serial connection to download the measurement data for reporting purposes. When the MCU's firmware requires an update, our customer must send the entire equipment back to us for the update. It would be very convenient if our software could update the firmware itself. For example, if we could simply send the .hex file generated by STMCubeIDE to our customer, and they could upload the new firmware themselves. Is this possible to achieve? Just to be clear, the goal is just update the firmare, not debbug it.  

I'm trying to check I3C protocol between IKS02A1 with NUCLEO-H503RB. and I just followed the guide which is below link. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Getting_started_with_I3C And I also tried I3C_Controller_Private_Command_IT code from the github.  But it seems there is NACK from the SLAVE. I've attached the scope shot.   Maybe I missed something of board setting? please give me some advice.    Thanks.

The STM32U0 Series is very interesting, and I would like to use the small WLCSP package in a design for a new product, but the  STM32U031G8Y6 is still in evaluation. Does anyone know when the STM32U031G8Y6TR will be available for purchasing?Thank you!Vlad

Hi All.In STM32H743, if ICache is enabled and DCache is turned off, SPI frequently uses DMA to transfer data(SPI transmission interval is within 10ms), and ETH may experience transmission lag; If ICache and DCache are turned off, there is no problem with ETH transmission. Through testing, it was found that the Ethernet took more than 1 second to complete the transmission process, with Ethernet typically completing the transmission in around 10 microseconds. From the manual, it was found that ETH's DMA is a dedicated DMA and should not be affected by DMA1 and DMA2. Why?The time consumption of using pin testing is to set the pin to low level after sending, and to high level after sending is completed.

I need to chain two timers together to get one 48-bit timer that counts microseconds, I'm thinking of using TIM2 as the master and TIM3 as the slave. I’ve been working on a project for a while and initially generated the code only once at the beginning to set up the hardware configuration. Recently, I updated STM32CubeIDE from version 1.14.1 to 1.15.0. After updating, I regenerated the code without making any additional configurations, yet I noticed that ADC1 and ADC2 stopped reading data. I've double-checked the configuration and the clock settings, and they appear identical to what I had previously. I also compared the HAL files, and they seem fine. All other peripherals like SPI, UART, and I2C are functioning correctly, except for the ADC. Am I missing something here?  

Hello,we are using STM32H735G-DK Eval Boards equipped with differently marked STM32H735IGK6U chips.One saying:-------------------STM32H735IGK6UAA126   VQ ZTWN AA 109                    D2--------------------and the other one saying:-------------------STM32H735IGK6UAA126   VQ ZTWN AA 109                    D3--------------------We could not find the meaning of "D2" and "D3" but "D2" is producing HardFaults whereas "D3" is not so we are assuming that these do have different silicon revisions. Could you help us identifying the silicon revision of the chips or what else is "D2" and "D3" standing for? We also attached photos of the different markings. Thank you and best regardsRK_IOT

Hello STM32 Community,I'm currently working with the RTC peripheral on an STM32F4 device, and I have a question regarding RTC alarm events.I've been able to generate interrupts at specific intervals, such as 250ms or 500ms etc, using the RTC alarm feature. However, I'm now seeking a method to generate a fixed millisecond interrupt, approximately 333msec, using the RTC alarm subsecond functionality (e.g., RTC_ALARMSUBSECONDMASK_SS14).Could anyone provide insights or suggestions on how to achieve this?Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello guys. I'm trying to design a custom pcb that uses an STM32h7a3zit mcu and one of the most confusing parts is clock configuration. I will mainly use the hs usb interface. I've searched a couple of online sources and from what i could find is that i should configure the clock as follows :

Hi, I'm wondering if write and erase external flash menory can be done when XIP mode on the same external Octal-Flash?I read RM0477 Rev 4.pdf and it told not recommand to programm the flash in this mode, and indirect mode can do that.Since the MX66UW supports RWW(Read While Write), can this feature be done on H7RS platform? I think it is possible but may encounter a burden on Cortex-M7 self instruction or cache prefetch operation and may never stops, does this affect when I part this flash memory into code section and data section? 

Background:I am capturing an image on OV5640 Camera module. My camera is connected with STM32L4R9I over DCMI protocol. I am further using DMA1 to take image data and store it in PSRAM (with the help of FMC). From PSRAM, image data is being written on SD card. Main Problem: OV5640 datasheet says, "OV5640_JPEG_CTRL07" can have values between 0x02 till 0x37. Here smaller value means higher quality image. However, when I try to store 0x02 value in the register, the captured image when opened in windows using sd card reader says "Unsupported image format". The minimum value i can store in the register is 0x0C (At this value, image is can be opened and seen in the pc). Also note that, this value (0X0C) works fine for 1080p resolution. As soon as i chnaged the camera resolution to 5MP then the same value (0X0C) gives me corrupt image and same issue of "Unsupported image format". Solu

During transmission and reception using STM32U585 LPTIM+SPI+LPDMA, noise to SPI3_SCK causes a fatal bit shift in the bitstream. The condition on the left is normal and the oscilloscope waveform can be received exactly as expected.However, if you introduce noise that shorts the SPI3_SCK terminal to ground, the state shown on the right will occur and the bits will continue to be received with a shift (11 bits in this example. It will change each time you try). There is no problem with the transmitting system, and only the receiving bits are shifted.If this mode occurs, execute HAL_SPI_Abort(&hspi3).

Dear friends,I am developing a controller using stm32f407vgt6 microcontroller and I'd like to add the capability of firmware upgrade through Ethernet port in my controller.I've read about Ethernet IAP (In-Application Programming) UM1709 but it is not what I am looking for, because I do not want the user to press Reset and boot buttons.I have also developed a windows base software to config the controller and I want to add the firmware upgrade in my software, so anytime I update the firmware, I put it in Internet and users download it and use my software to update the controller through Ethernet port. Hello, i've been trying to get SPI working in conjunction in DMA.But with "bare metal register implementation" i can't even get the NSS working properly. The Stm32F730 needs to hold NSS/Chip Select high all the time, except for when communicating with the ADS8910b (18Bit SAR ADC) via SPI, so that the ADC is able to send the Interrupt to the F7 to initiate SPI communication.Using HAL library functions (HAL_SPI_Transmit etc.) is not an option since it's way to slow and with the special 22-Bit frame of the ADC it seems like the commands are not interpreted correctly. In the ref manual (see attached) from page 998 onwards it's stated that the SSI & SSM Bits (8&9 in SPIx_CR1 register) are used for the NSS software control.Bit 9 (SSM) enables the software management of the NSS Pin.Bit 8 (SSI) is the value that will be forced onto the NSS Pin, if the management is enabled. I writ
