I am sending a command to the STM32F405 through the UART (COM) port for receiving data from the STM32F405. Once the command send from PC it will continously send data from STM32F405. What if the PC drops the connection and goes to sleep. And my STM32F405 still performing to send data and how can I make the STM32F405 to stop automatically. I couldnt find much details on this. Any one could help on this matter. Thank you

Hi,     Configured PC4 and PC5 for transmitting and receiving over USART1.    Enabled the interrupt, DMA is disabled.     Tried with different baud rates, same results.     The data seen on serial console application cutecom does not match data I am setting in my transmit buffer.      Tried same test on USART2 using putty, it shows data matching TX buffer.     Any suggestions ? We are developing using the following development environment. Are there any libraries or SDKs that we can use?Also, Is HAL or LL a library? [IDE] STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0[MCU] STM32F412VGT6

The STM32H562RG USB interrupt does not work.Also, using the library on the Nucleo-H503RB results in a memory error. We verified the other chips work fine, but the H562RG has a problem with the USB interrupt not working.

Hello, I am making a development board where I want to use STM32 and USB C connector for power supply to the STM and also for UART communication with the PC. What are the best solutions for this? I looked into using FTDI chip but they are quite expensive. Also, not really sure how to connect the USB C connector for this to work. I am using STM32G0B0CE which has a USB NOE pin which im also not sure how it works or where to connect it.  Any help or referrals will be welcome  

Hello all, I am using the STM32U5A5QJ in a project and I had a question about some of the wake-up modes. I would like the microcontroller to be in stop mode 3 most of the time until it receives an interrupt from a sensor to return to normal mode. The data sheet seems to specify two ways of doing this and I’m wondering which is correct or if both can be used. In Table 9. STM32U5Axxx modes overview it says the wake-up source for stop mode 3 is one of the 24 WKUPx I/O’s.There is also a section under Extended interrupt/event controller (EXTI) where it says “The EXTI wake-up requests allow the system to be woken up from Stop modes.” They both seem to say that they can be used to wake-up from stop mode, is this correct or should one be used over the other? Thanks for your help,

Hi,We have a custom board based on STM32H755. We have two configuration of this SoC. In the normal operation we run a Bare-metal application on M7 and Zephyr OS application on M4 in a dual core mode. Hi,I am currently using NUCLEO-F429 for prototyping a medical product.I am facing an issue while configuring ADC DMA as shown in attached image.the address of DMABuff going in DMA register is different to the actual adress, hence i am not able to get proper data read out.The values in DMAbuff are not updates as expected.But if I hardcode the address the values are updated in DMAbuff

Hello everyone,I will put the device on standby as part of my project. I set the GPIO Pin as SysWakeup1 pin. Can I reconfigure the pin that I configured as SysWakeup1 in the main.c file as external interrupt or gpio input? We can dynamically set GPIO as output when it is input, but is this valid in SysWakeup?

Hi, I want to create a timer with retriggerable pulse of specified length. Now I know timer can do it, but there is an issue with one pulse retriggerable mode that needs to be from outside trigger otherwise it dont work. My application is specific and it needs retriggerable mode but internally not from external source. Now the simple solution would be give gpio to one of the sources and route it to that trigger pin and do that way, but the issue is PCBs are already manufactured and no changes can be made, so it is upto me to solve it in software now.  Is there any software solution I can do mimic this oneshot pulse timer ? I tried other methods with output compare and stuff but that does not work well.

Hi, I am planning to use stm32g030f6 and also use RTC peripheral with super cap to keep date. However, this IC does not have VBAT pin. Reading datasheet said, that RTC domain can also be supplied from VDD/VDDA pin, but this means that when a voltage supply interrupt, the mcu will not detect and it will start using super cap energy from VDD/VDDA pin, so, the purpose to target only rtc supply energy with super cap is compromised. Could you clarify if my assumption is correct, and how to achieve my design (super cap supplying energy to rtc when main voltage is down)?

Hi,I am trying to make the ADC + DMA work a STM32G431CBT6 using STM32CubeIDE and the HAL library. I am used to making it work on other families like the STM32f103 etc.. However, here, when I program the processor using the debug mode and watch the content of my adc/dma buffer, all the values are at 4095 (maximum) and stay like this... Has anyone an idea on how to make this work? or any suggestions based on my code?Please find my code and CubeMX settings in the following images. Thanks in advance,

Hello, reaching out to see if anyone can provide some thoughts on a project I'm working on.  The project works but though I'm a longtime Arduino developer this is my first STM32 project - so not 100% sure of some of the parameters I've chosen are the best or most efficient. The project is simple, custom board implementing a remote control that will eventually transmit using BLE.  The remote control design is straightforward and similar to a XBox style controller.  It has two joysticks, two toggle switches, two potentiometers (dials), four push buttons and a battery monitor (voltage divider).  Here is an image from my HW design software if that helps:All of the circ

I need to use two timers for my app, code contains all the same setups for TIM6 and TIM7, except for the timer expiration counters, and I observe that the callback  void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim)   never enters in the conditional block it contains: if ( htim == &htim7 ) { /* code block */ } the callback above is invoked when htim == &tim6. Hello, I have a problem currently, I am a beginner on stm32 and I would like to create a pulse counter but I cannot get the interrupts from my timer 3 to increment my variable. I don't understand then that the function is indeed carried out but it is not called.I have to count the number of pulses on an input (P2_pin) the period lasts about 1.3 seconds but my counter stops at 10000 pulses when it should go to 65536 already I don't understand this, and I used a low frequency generator to see how many Hz my pin could increment my counter is the maximum is 100Hz my counter doesn't go any faster. I would like to count my total number of pulses on the P2_pin as quickly as possible and display it on my lcd screen, but I can't manage to do it. Could you help me? I would need my tim3 to count up to 65536 pulses and if my number of pulses exceeds that I would increment it during the acquisition of my period because I would like to know the phase shift of my motor be

I am currently using the STM32U575I-EV; I was able to flash the DCMI example project's code from STM32CubeU5 (Projects\STM32U575I-EV\Examples\DCMI\DCMI_ContinousCap_EmbeddedSynchMode) and I see the onboard camera's feed displaying on the LCD as expected.I wanted to measure the frame rate. To do this, I modified the behavior of LED5 (labelled LD5 on the eval kit; corresponding GPIO pin at PB7 in the CN14 header) such that each toggle represents a frame that got captured; with a logic analyzer, I count the number of edges within 1 sec and get the approx. frame rate. Hi everyone,I have an odd behaviour here. I got a STM32L496 with FreeRTOS on it. The CPU is very busy (15 task running, flash size is almost 1MB). I am using the latest STM32CubeIDE 1.14.1.Now I'd like to remove something from a std::vector, so I do the following: bool NotifierStillVal(Notification *n) { return n->stillValid() == false; } //... auto newEnd = std::remove_if(notifications.begin(), notifications.end(), NotifierStillVal); I already removed the lambda to minimise the stuff that could go wrong. Now, I obviously know that remove_if() does only resort the vector and does not actually delete something. This is why I do this afterwards: for (auto it = newEnd; it != notifications.end(); ++it) delete *it; notifications.erase(newEnd, notifications.end());  

I am able to send messages from CAN1 and CAN2 and able to receive messages on CAN1 but I am not able to receive messages on CAN2.
