Hello.I'm having issues with STM32CubeMX and VScode setup. I have the STM32 VScode extension installed and all the extras that were required as per this page ( https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=bmd.stm32-for-vscode ). I generate a make file for the blue pill based on the STM32F103C8T6 IC. Hello,I am using STM32H7 as SPI slave with DMA transfer, the communication works fine till 18MHz of clock frequency from the master side however for higher clock speeds of 20 MHz - 31MHz it is noted that the bit shifts by 1 bit for the whole stream of data.e.g if STM is sending 00100111 00010010 01101101 00000000 then in the master side the received bits are 00010011 10001001 00110110 10000000.The LSB of first byte shifts to MSB of 2nd byte thus corrupting the whole data. The target is to achieve maximum speed of 31 Mhz.  Hello,I am working with the STM32G0B1CCT6 MCU and facing an issue while flashing firmware using ST-LINK.During the flashing process, I get the following error:Error: Sector erase operation has failed at least for one of the existing specified sectors. Please verify flash memory protection. Warning: Connection to device 0x467 is lostI have checked my hardware connections, and power supply seems fine. However, the erase operation still fails, and the device disconnects.Could this be due to flash write protection, or some RDP (Readout Protection) setting?Please help me resolve this issue.I am attaching the screenshot of the error and the related project/file

Greetings, I'm having an issue with low-power modes. I'm using a STM32U585 MCU and while in run mode it is consuming around 100mA, which is a lot. I tried to enter in Sleep, Stop and Standby modes right after the main declaration:int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemPower_Config(); SystemClock_Config(); PeriphCommonClock_Config(); HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI); ...The thing is, the current just drops from 100mA to 70mA, which is still a lot. Any clue why the circuit is consuming so much current? Thank you

Hi, I am using an STM32H7RS3x device with external QSPI flash connected to XSPI2 interface with address = 0x7000_0000.I have noticed that the base address of from the hexfile I have to flash into external XSPI (of course using external loader) is not 0x7000_0000 but 0x2407_1c00, which is, curiously, the address of the NONCACHEABLE RAM. What decides the the base address of the hex file? First of all, I am not using CUBE IDE, this is a bare metal.Second: STM32H523. ADC (continuous mode; DMA). ADC is configured on PA0 (i.e. INP1, single-ended), GPIO configuration is analog mode.On the pin I can probe (oscilloscope) my signal (correct amplitude): a sinus. But the data (from DMA) is noise.Configured with PA1, all works fine (so my soft is ok). Using ADC1 or ADC2 does not change anything.Second observation: with PA0, the DC is not fixed (floating pin), but configured on PA1, the pin is DC-driven (about VDDA/2, high impedance).=> For these reasons, I have the feeling PA0 is not connected to ADC. I can't find anything in registers/documentation/erratas explaining this (on H7 there is some analog switches, but nothing for H5).Any clue? Thanks! 

In the RM0456, the LPUART has a block diagram (67.4.1) with a register called LPUART_ RTOR but there is no documentation about this register. For USART, this register is related to Receiver timeout interrupt but this feature is not available for LPUART.

I am using the STM32L433RCT6 and need to assign a GPIO pin as an external interrupt, which will be used to wake and shutdown the MCU (shutdown must use minimal power).However, I am not sure if I have to use a specific GPIO pin, or if I can use any GPIO pin for the external interrupt ?The external interrput will be connected to a momentary push button (net PWR_SWITCH)...There will be a procedure to wake and shutdown the MCU as explained below (there is also a link to a video to demonstrate the procedure)... Start the switch-on cycle by clicking the button once. Dear,We would on the STM32H7B0RBTx connecting 2 external QSPI RAM of APS6404L-3SQN-SN.Therefore we will use the 2 QSPI RAM chips in Multiplex mode, but we have only 1 NCS pin that we can configure.When we look in the application note AN5050 on page 27 we see that it is possible but with STM32Cube it isn't possible to configure the NCS pin on port 2.What we doing wrong here?How we should configure the other parameters of the QCTOSPI in STM32cube for the used RAM chip?OCTOSPI1

Hi, Since there's a huge market for microcontrollers on boards such as the Arduino, like the ATMega and ATTiny, which are available in 20- or 40-pin DIPs, I was wondering if ST competes (could be with the 32bit or 8bit line) with those somehow. If so, what are the options of microcontrollers that compare with them?I'm asking because sometimes using an STM32 is overkill for certain projects, while some STM8 options are too restrictive. Having the flexibility for adding those TH components makes everything much easier when designing boards that do not necessarily need the complexity of manufacturing in SMD. Best,Alessandro

Hello，I want to use the PB6 pin as an external interrupt input. When the PB6 pin is triggered, the program enters the low-power stop mode from the normal operation mode. When it is triggered again, the program enters the normal operation mode from the low-power stop mode. According to the above, the test found that after the program enters the low-power mode, it cannot return to the normal operation mode again. Does anyone have experience in this area and can provide me with a solution?

This is driving me crazy, whay timers on STM32 are so complicated and no normal information / datasheets etc, how to use.Timer2 is working (external clock), Timer interrupt (TIM_IT_UPDATE) also working, but not capture interrupt. And signal is also present on capture pin, when I manually write capturing code without timer inside main() thread, then it's working. Moved from this thread. What is the maximum amount of time required after bringing nRST high for a Pattern 11 MCU to determine that flash is blank, recognize that BOOT0 is high, and enter the ROM bootloader?  I suspect we may have a timing issue, in that my application may not be waiting long enough before interrogating the bootloader.  (I would test this right now, but we handed off the project to our customer some time ago... they will be testing it later today).  Is this maximum time specified anywhere in ST's documentation? Hi All,I am successfully programming and debugging a NUCLEO-STM32F401RE by its embedded ST-LINK programmer using STM32CubeIDE v.1.12.0 on a computer running Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS, updated and upgraded.I have a second PC running exactly the same Ubuntu, CubeIDE, CubeProgrammer versions but when I try to debug the same NUCLEO board I get the error message "No-ST-LINK detected! etc etc".I deduce that my USB cable is just fine, that no hardware issues are present and that my two PCs looks the same but some set up difference(s) should exist between them preventing the interface to run properly on the second machine. I wasn't able to identify this difference and solve the problem.I am aware that several "No ST-LINK detected" posts are present on the STM32 Forums but none of them fixed the issue.Finally, I upgraded STM32CubeIde and Programmer to a third computer (same Ubuntu version) to their latest release, while keeping the other two PCs "identical", and c
