Hi STM Team, We are using STM32H757XIH6 microcontroller in our design for one of the project. We are having the query regarding FMC port. We are planning to use 8 bit data bus (FMC_D0-D7) of FMC port to drive multiple peripherals like LCD, Keypad, ADCs, IO cards etc.We understand their are 4 Chip Selects NE1,NE2,NE3 and NE4.We also intend to use GPIO pins to work as additional Chip Selects for all above peripherals. Can we use the FMC port data lines (FMC_D0-D7) along with GPIOs as additional Chip Selects for above application? Request you to please share the steps to configure FMC port for this application. Could you please also confirm if we can use FMC port signals as GPIO signals? Appreciate your support.

I'm working with an STM32H7 board and trying to interface with some external RAM using OCTOSPI over the HyperBus protocol. I'm attempting to run the RAM in memory-mapped mode and have mostly followed the STM32 application note provided by STM.Most of the code was adapted directly from the application note. During the delay calibration step, the code gets stuck when trying to access the external memory. Hello all,we are using the STM32H7S3Z8T6 in a project. It has four VDDxSPI pins for an external power supply if XSPI is used. I also found some information in app note AN5935.However, we are not using external memory and therefore we don't need an additional power supply. Unfortunately I didn't find any information on what to do with these pins if XSPI is not used. Leave them open? Connect to Gnd? Connect a capacitor? And an additional question: the "normal" SPI buses are not powered by VDDxSPI right? Those pins are just for XSPI?

hi all,I'm Trying to send a string from STM32F401RE MCU to EPS32 Via UART i have programmed both STM as well as ESP32 and i successfully verified that data is available on UART pin of STM  Data on UART Pins of STMBut I'm not able to receive data on ESP32, i double checked the UART Hardware connection is correctand i configured STM UART in TX_ONLY mode , did not configure any hardware flow pins ,baudrate is 9600,1 stop bit and not using parity 

Hi all,I am designing a PCB using the STM32G030K6Tx and for my application I only require the HSE external crystal, which I believe I connect to GPIO pins PC14 and PC15. When I go the the .ioc file in the STM32CubeIDE (System Core -> RCC) I see there is only an option to enable the LSE and no option to enable the HSE. How do I go able enabling the HSE? I have attached an image of the relevant section of the .ioc file.STM32G0 Series RCC

Hello,I'm trying to implement an I3C target device which sends inband interrupts when I push the blue Nucleo button.But I also want it to be ready to receive data via a private message.To do this I call `HAL_I3C_Tgt_Receive_IT` after receiving a dynamic address. But to send an inband interrupt I must abort this action and before being able to call `HAL_I3C_Tgt_IBIReq_IT`.The problem I'm facing is that the abort only finalizes if the controller tries to send a private command. My expectation is that `HAL_I3C_Abort_IT` would abort the pending receive action right away so I can send an inband interrupt.Is there any way to realize this by modifying the HAL library? Or am I using the HAL library in a faulty manner?The state process I'm currently using to implement the target. 

Configure STM32G0 to sample 11 channels; When voltage is injected into only one channel each time, the sampling values of all channels are correct. When voltage is injected into 11 channels simultaneously, the sampling values of all channels are incorrect and random values are displayed. Could someone help me explain the reason for this problem and how I should configure it? Thank you.

Hello,I am beginning development with MCUs, am new to this.  At the moment, I am at the design stage.I have identified a device which seems most suitable for my application, STM32G0B1CET in this case.I am trying to understand the I/O constraints.  I would like to be able to, once in a while, use the bootloader to update firmware in-system.On this particular device, If I understand correctly, the bootloader is designed to use any of a long list of peripherals (two USART, two I2C, two SPI, USB, and FDCAN) - and it accordingly configures the device for this purpose.This appears to very seriously constrain how the pins may be connected on my board (to avoid unwanted interaction or conflict during the boot phase).So it seems that, even if "naively" the device has enough I/O for my application, many of them can't be used just because of how the bootloader (even temporarily) configures them.What am I missing?Thank you.

I have SPI1 working in bare metal on a 48 pin version of the same chip, but I am having difficulty with SPI3 migrating to a 64 pin.  For reference, I have attached the most recent stm32f103x6.h file from the Cube MX F1 package (STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.8.0).  SPI3 is on APB1, and SPI1 is on APB2.The first strange thing, if you look at line 17 of the code below, there is no "RCC_APB1ENR_SPI3EN" defined in the stm32f103x6.h file.  When using SPI1, you can use "RCC_APB2ENR_SPI1EN" - which IS defined in the .h file.  So I didn't think much of it and just manually set bit 15 of APB1ENR, corresponding to the SPI3 enable (Page 116 of reference manual RM0008).The second strange thing is "SPI3" simply is not defined in the stm32f103x6.h file.  For instance, if you change line 34 to "SPI3->CR1...", it won't recognize SPI3 and gives an error.It's acting like SPI3 doesn't exist on this chip.

if in the stm32cubeide clock configuration the extrenal oscialtors aren't highlighted it means that i dont need extrenal oscialtor on my custom board?

I have customized hardware based on STM32F407 controller.I want to communicate on both CAN 1 and CAN 2. Both on 250 kbps baud rate but on different CAN bus due to some design requirement.tx = Transmit, rx  = ReceiveI am able to tx and rx on CAN1 but on CAN2 I am only able to tx. Rx does not work on CAN2.I have tried to connect CAN1 on separate CAN bus and CAN2 on separate CAN bus. I have also tried to connect both on same CAN bus. During ENTDAA, HAL_I3C_TgtReqDynamicAddrCallback callsback and wait for me to SetDynAddr after the seventh Byte, still one byte short (DCR Byte), and this causes my target to shift out the DCR while the controller shifts in the assigned Address at the same time. How do i fix this?

Hello, I am using the STM32H747I-DISCO board for my project. I need to set and reset a GPIO pin with a delay of around 10 nanoseconds between the transitions. My question is:Is it practically possible to achieve such precise timing (10 ns pulse width) using GPIO on an STM32 board, specifically the STM32H747? I also tried using direct register-level GPIO access by completely eliminating the HAL drivers. I was able to achieve a minimum pulse width of around 50 to 60 nanoseconds. However, I was still not able to achieve the desired 10 ns set/reset timing I have tried using TIM3 PWM but the minimum pulse I’m able to observe is around 102 ns.I would like to know if there is any reliable method. Any guidance or clarification would be appreciated. Thank you!

In AN2606, it goes into pin specific detail about the pins when look at your specific chip line.   Does this mean that I am limited to those specific pins in order to use the bootloader and that I cannot used an alternate assigned pin?

Hi, I am using STM32H743 nucleo board on one of my design. On my board I have installed nucleo board on board to board connector. For FDCAN interface we are using TCAN3414 transceiver IC. Our bit rate is 1MHz and data rate 2MHz for FDCAN communication on board. We are interfacing the FDCAN with DigiSoM board having transceiver TMC2517. After some packet transmission i observed that communication link is down. CAN bus is not working. On resetting the controller communication starts again for sometime and again stops. I tried replacing the STM32H753 board with STM32H743 and i have not observed any communication issue on that particular system. On other system I am already having STM32H753 but still I am facing the same issue. I am using normal wires for GND CANH and CANL connections of length 15cm max. I tried reducing the baud rate till 250kbps but same issue. I have checked the signal quality on oscilloscope which looks fine with ringing effects. We are using MATLAB modelling

So, the situation has been pretty uncomfortable and frustrating.I'm trying to implement the code to make the USB-C on the STM32U5A9J-DK work so that my PC recognizes the board as a Device.I first started to try to implement it with my currently running code with ThreadX and TouchGFX, but it didn't work.So, I started with a clean project, directly from CubeMX with just the USB OTG switched ON. No custom code, just the one generated by CubeMX.Tried to attach the board to my PC, no device appeared on my PC, and, despite the breakpoint set on the only line of code inside OTG_HS_IRQHandler, when attaching the board to the USB, the interrupt doesn't fire.I've checked step by step if the initialization and HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(OTG_HS_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL
