I'm using UART7 on a STM32H743 to drive a RS-485 transceiver. I've set it up to use the hardware DE pin to switch the transceiver between TX and RX modes. I transmit 14byte messages to devices on the bus, and they send back ~14byte messages. My code does this TX/RX16 times a second in bursts of 8 transfers. All works well 99.999% of the time. However, at a random interval from hours down to every consecutive data transfer, I receive back junk data. It averages around 5 minutes between errors.I put a scope on the transceiver and found that the errors are caused by the DE pin staying asserted too long after the last stop bit of a transmission ends; the transceiver stays in TX mode and blocks the incoming reception. This happens very rarely, but remains to be a headache for my system. I am trying to implement an application with USB CDC-ECM host capabilities. As a bring up setup, I configured two STM32 boards:1) STM32U5G9J-DK2 board, configured as a CDC-ECM device, using USBX.2) STM32U575I-EV, configured as a CDC-ECM host, using USBX. I am able to connect both boards, and get some basic networking functionality, including ping and  UDP traffic. Now I am trying to implement host suspend/resume and remote wakeup by device.When performing suspend and resume by host only (without remote wakeup), everything works fine, andI can see both suspend and resume signaling on device. However, when using remote wakeup by device, I see the following flow of events:1) Host sending suspend to device.2) Device is getting the suspend signaling and enters suspend mode.3) Device is activating remote wakeup signaling4) Remote wake signal

I am using one of the 32 bit timers to measure intervals for fault protection on a HV pulse modulator.  I have an interrupt on EXTI that captures both leading and trailing edges of the command pulse.   In the service routine, I simply store the latest uptime and downtime to calc the pulsewidth and period....pretty simple.    The pulsewidth is pretty small, so I use the free-running SYSTICK (400 MHz) for pulsewidth, but it is only 24 bits, so I need to use a 32 bit timer for the pulse period, and do so at 50 MHz.I initially coded this with TIM2, and it worked perfectly.  Then I realized that I needed to use TIM2 elsewhere because I already wired a different time-critical signal to the TIM2.ETR pin (the ETR interrupt latency is far less than the EXTI latency).  So I switched my code to use TIM5 for the period.   This did not work.   It bounces around semi-randomly, and by appearances is acting like a 16 bit timer.

I’m working on a design where I need to communicate with two SPI devices that operate at different logic levels:1) A sensor running at 1.8v logic (need SPI + 2 other lines, all at 1.8v) 2) Everything else on my board, preferably running at 3.3v, I will need CAN, UART, and another SPI. I’m trying to avoid level shifters if possible (and avoid sourcing 1.8 V CAN/UART transceivers). Ideally, I’d like to use an STM32 that has split power domains, both with SPI peripherals. So far, I’ve found that the STM32L496QI supports SPI on both the main VDD rail and the VDDIO2 rail (which can be independently run at 1.8 V), which fits the bill. The only issue is that it’s a 100-pin part, which is way more than I need for this design.What I’m looking for:STM32 with VDDIO2 or similarSPI on both 1.8V and 3.3V-capable banksPreferably 64 pins or lessThanks, Sameer

Hello,   I am using this example: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/x-cube-n6-ai-h264-usb-uvc HW: STM32N6570-DK + STEVAL-66GYMAI  I have this strange behavior only when using the VD66GY. If no motion on the video, i barely see the flickering. However, when i do a little motion in front of the camera, I begin to see white horizontal lines on the  of the video stream, this flickering happens only at around 30fps. Only when I reduce to 15fps it disappears...   Also lowering the VENC resolution did not fix it.  #define VENC_VD66GY_WIDTH #define VENC_VD66GY_HEIGHT BTW, The IMX335 works fine at 30fps.

Hello All,I have a camera of 5 MP and optical light engine with display of 1280 x 720 pixels.Can I run both the peripherals on MIPI interface simultaneously such that the camera content is input/feed is input to optical light engine having display of 1280 x 720 pixels. Hi, we have perform a series of environment test for STM32H533, including thermal cycle and vibration test.Durting vibration test, DUTs are powered off, while under thermal cycle test, DUT is powered on.After the test, all application part still function as expected, including UART, ADC, basic IO...etc. However, we've found that three, out of six, DUTs can NOT be accessed through debug interface SWD. Moreover, there are few things abnormal,nRst pin is about 3V, even through VDD is 3.3VST-Link can NOT drive nRST pin to 0V, only 1.5V to 2V.same as SWCLK, cannot be driven low to 0V, as nRST pin.Is there anything we can do to further identify the root cause of the failure?Can anyone shed some light on this? Zt. 

Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask. I'm currently working on interfacing an SD Card with a nucleo f767. I used the DS-Bits in CR2 to set the data frame to 8 Bit (what also should be the reset value). Despite that, MOSI always sends the whole data register, which is 16 Bits. So if I use the function below to send 0xFF, the hardware will send 0x00FF. Hi ， I 'm using NUCLEO-G071RB to test RTC using LSE 32.768k.I using RTC to generate a second alarm and in the interrupt to toggle the pin output(PC6).But i find a issue if follow below steps the interrupt not enter, and the program goes wrong.1. erase the chip.2.Debug the code using IAR+onboard stlink.3.Run the program, the interrupt will not enter,and the program goes wrong.But if i follow below steps, the interrupt runs OK ,and the program goes right.1.Program the mcu g071.2.Power cycle the nucleo board by disconnect /connect the USB.3. After power on the program goes right.

Is it possible to divide by 1 for DIVP of PLL1?According to RM0433 Rev8, DIVP of PLL1 is capable of dividing by 1.However, I could not set division by 1 in CubeIDE. (It is possible that my setting is incorrect.)

Greetings, I am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.18, Running FreeRTOS, and using the HAL library to configure the ETH device.   I have the STM32H573 ETH port configured as MII, and communicating with an external ethernet switch device (also in MII mode). We want the link to be Full Duplex 10 Mbps. We can see that the MAC CR register has bit 14 as a zero, which is 10 Mbps mode.   GRISHKA $ peek 0x40028000 [40028000] 0x3830A003   Yet, we I probe the RX and TX clocks with my scope, I see both clocks at 25 Mhz (40 nsec period). I am using an STM32G0B0RET and trying to use USART2 w/ RS232 Flow Control (Both CTS and RTS) on pins PA0 - PA3.  I am also trying to use pin PD5 as a standard GPIO_Output.  PD5 has the additional functionality of being USART2_TX. However I am seeing weird behavior off of the PD5 pin as it never seems to pull the line over 0.01V.  I have tried disabling flow control and moving the USART Init above the GPIO init in the main function.   My initial assumption was that because USART2 is active on the device, PD5 cannot be used as an output, however looking at the GPIO block diagram that doesn't seem like the expected behavior.  This would lead me to believe that I can't use PD6 as its additional functionality is USART2_RX. But that means that pin isnt controlled by the microcontroller which means that potentially the data written to PD6 would appear as UART RX data internally to the device??? Hi, We would like to implement a parity checks on the internal RAM to detect random upsets. I understand some STM devices support this feature and I was trying to find one that supports it. I have searched several datasheets but so far I can't find mention of it.  I found a thread that stated that the STM32F3 has it, but the STM32F4, I don't know if that is true. Hello, I am currently working on implementing a memory-to-memory DMA transfer on a STM32N6 board, but I have trouble making the DMA work (GPDMA or HPDMA).I tried to follow the Reference Manual for a LL implementation, but my code doesn't work and I can't find why. I'm a beginner in using DMAs but I still managed to make the DMA work on smaller STM32s such as the STM32F411RE, by following the User Manual, but on STM32N6, it does not work. You can find my code on the figure below. I have 8 bytes to transfer between two buffers in a secured AXISRAM2 memory space. I chose to transfer bursts such that 1 burst = 1 beat = 1 byte. I chose HPDMA because I am transferring data in AXISRAMs (I assumed it wouldn't work with GPDMA since it is adapted to AHB/APB).When I debug my code I can see that the Transfer Complete Flag in the Status Register was enabled but my destination buffer is still empty (it didn't copy the source buffer).Do you

Hi,I have made up six boards and three of them had an unusually high standby current (35mA instead of 1mA).Eventually, when the IC was removed, we found Pins 5 & 6 of the removed IC were shorted internally (0.3R)They were also shorted to pin 45 with 3.7R. The other two boards are showing similar shorts.The board worked fine with a new MCU.Does anyone know what might cause this short?TIA,Patrick. 

After doing some primary embedded projects (LED, user button etc) on my MCU (Nucleo-64 STM32 F411RE) I'm now dealing with timers. Here's my clock configurations1- Does anything look wrong?2- While my clock rate is 100 MHZ (as written on my board pack), should I change that 84 (in the HCLK (MHz) field) to 100 in the configuration? 

I have custom board with STM32C071 micro controller (I used stm32c031 before) and I can't flash it via UART (cant connect in STM32CubeProgrammer).UART Used - USART1 (PA9/PA10) with auto baud rate (57600)STM32CubeProgrammer - v2.20.0Jump to boot loader mode from FW and can confirm it with st-link debug(with empty flash - dont work too).Flashing via ST-Link works well, but it will not be available when the device is in the case, so i need UART flashing.When i connect directly to the device and send 0x7f it doesn't respond as it should.The only suspicion is that the device does not reassign pins from PA11 PA12 to PA9 PA10, since it uses USB on these pins, because STM32C031 on the same board flashing well, it have no USB and doesn't have this problemSTM32CubeProgrammer log:12:52:33:798 : RTS low 12:52:33:799 : DTR Low 12:52:33:799 : Serial Port ttyUSB2 is successfully opened. 12:52:33
