Hello,i am working for now on a diy project.In this project i am interfacing LoRa SX1278 (SPI), MPU6050 (I2C) and NEO-6M (UART) with the STM32F103C8 (blue pill).All in all it is working but because all this sensors and modules are served in the loop, it is affecting the speed of the µC.I am thinking of using Free RTOS for that purpose.The goal is that every 10 - 15 seconds the STM32 reads  NEO-6M and packs the results in a Buffer to send it with LoRa to the receiver.Would free RTOS be a good idea?Any suggestion is appreciated.Thanks in advance

So I've been trying for a while to get the I2C1 peripheral working for communicating with the AM2320 humidity/temperature sensor but for some reasons I have not yet broken down, it never seems to reach it. ST-Link V2, STM32F103C6T6A "blue pill", trivial program (version of blink LED), after pushing code to CPU (using STM32CubeIDE 1.9.0 and a current-firmware official ST-LINK V2), the board(s) appear "bricked" and don't respond to ST-LINK V2.I am in need of a way to determine if the boards are scrap, or can be recovered from this condition.Upon receipt (of the "blue pill" boards and the ST-LINK V2 programmer), I pre-tested the "blue pill" boards with both an official ST-Link V2 with a fresh from the package board (which comes with a blink-the-LED program). Hi, I´m trying to communicate two blue pills between them using CAN bus, but when I try to run it, it doesn´t even finish the start up, because I tried to use a blink program selecting the CAN in the .ioc and not using it and doesn´t work.Does anyone knows why does this happen?

I have an STM32F103C8T6 Blue Pill board, and I'm trying to get the RTC to function correctly when Vdd is removed. However, when I disconnect Vdd, the RTC doesn't operate as expected. Sometimes, when Vdd is supplied, the RTC starts counting from the time I disconnected Vdd, or it begins from an entirely different time. Additionally, I'm observing a voltage of 2.2V on Vdd when only Vbat is connected. I bought Bluepill devboards from two different sellers, paying extra to hopefully receive genuine STM chips. When I use the Bluepill Diagnostics Tool written by Terry Porter, the tool reports passing on all counts except for one:Declared flash not 65536Does that definitely mean it isn't genuine? Thinking I could get a second opinion, I launched STM32 CubeIDE. I've barely ventured outside the world of Arduino so I have no idea what I am doing. I tried to follow instructions I got off Bing LLM AI which advised me to try to start debugging in the CubeIDE. Can anyone tell me whether the following can be used to infer whether the chip is genuine or not? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Hi all,Total newbie here.I am seeing this error in Windows 11 Device Manager: "Device Descriptor Request Failed", when I plug the Bluepill to a PC using Bluepill's onboard micro-USB PortAlthough the Bluepill looks like it is running OK with the previously flashed program (Blink PC13) with power supplied via the Bluepill's onboard micro-USB, Windows is giving this error. Being a "perferctionist", I would like to see the Windows error eliminated.I have check few "solutions" on youtube and none of them seems to apply to STM32, and thus not working. Can any kindly soul please help. Sorry if this has been asked befor

I am porting code from G473 to U575 because I need more flash and ram.Then I meet some issues on gpdma transmission size.For G473, I use dma to transfer data to timer ARR likes:uint16_t buf[65536] = { ..... };HAL_TIM_Base_Start_DMA(&htim1, (uint32_t *)buf, 65536);For U575, the code doesn't work because the size have to be 65536 * sizeof(uint16_t), not the number of buf.Is there any way to figure it out?

Hello community, I want to generate PWM with tim8 CH1 and CH1N (complementary) but i have an issue. CH1 pwm first pulse is 2x what it must be. My APB2 clock is 84MHz and i am generating an 500kHz PWM. How to initialize well the PWM with tim 8 to have a good initialization of the CH1 1st pulse. (Also the last pul doesn't finish well for both channel if i stop and capture on oscilloscope). Best regards,

Hello Dear Community,I want to capture and decode a bitstream on STM32F746. The bit rate is 60ns/bit. Data is encoded using 4b5b and has a unique code for start of frame and no end of frame.What I have tried so far, is to configure TIM2 (APB1 timer clock is 108MHz) with a prescalar of 0 and counter 1. Then, each time the interrupt is fired I sample the input data: Briefly, I try to implement an oversampling mechanism. This approach seems not working. I tried to toggle a pin in the same interrupt and the maximum frequency I get is 146.7KHz. Maybe it is not possible to fire a timer interrupt higher than this frequency (NVIC latency...).How can I acquire my serial data efficiently? What will be the correct approach to implement my solution? I have seen some input capture using Timer/DMA and I am considering theme. Hi, I am having several days problems with connecting ST-Link to gdb server to debug. I am using ST-Link V3, V2 (genuine ones).Everything was working fine until I connected Copy of a ST-Link debugger (I didn't know it is copy, it has original logo on the top, but I took off the cover and there was not original STM32F1 MCU, just some knock off). So I tried to update this Fake ST-Link debugger and I didn't succeed, and I tried to update it also via STM32Programmer and also through ST-Link update button in VS Code. After all of this I think it messed up my GDB server directory on my mac but I deleted all ST software and installed again but still without change. It prints GDB server failed or USB error... Than I have read that ST stopped supporting those fake debuggers so I than connected my two original V2 debuggers, but without change. I even bought new original ST-Link V3MINIE and still the same, now it prints this :""""Error connecting to device STLINK-V3

Hi,I am using STM32H753ZI nucleo board, developing with Keil IDE. I am using UART RX and TX DMA. I want to check if there is a possibility of corruption of UART data while transmitting with DMA Tx.The sending device will send 8-byte defined command to STM32H753ZI and then STM after performing the required operation will send response in a 8-byte defined format.My system works very well, but sometimes the UART data which is transmitted back to sending device in response to some specific command is seen to be corrupt or any random data other than defined protocol or packet message dataAlso, it is seen that the data is sent to sending device without any command which the code never does (that data are mostly 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 all 0's of 8 byte).I am doubting something has gone bad on USB to UART TTL module or USB hub or something in hardware. HiI got a new STM32F407VGT6 Dicovery board which is quite awesome. I have been playing with it and now I want to print stuff to a terminal via Serial. I looked up some tutotials and there they simply use the on board STLink becasue USART pins are connected between the MCU and the STLINK and gets the Serial data through USB to the computer. To do that they install VCP drivers which I also did. But when I plug in my STM32 board it does not show as an COM Port. Instead it shows as STM32 STLink.This is the tutorial I have been following.
