Hi, I have a strange situation I can't figure out. I'm new at DMA so I just follow directions as  best I can without a full understanding. Right now, my setup is more or less working for a few months. But today I encountered a problem. I am using UCPD with DMA. Somehow UCPD starts sending data that is equivalent to all 0s. Basically, the data being sent to UCPD by the DMA is all 0s. UCPD encodes this and sends it out over the data channel. Its the correct number of bytes. Also, the preamble and header which are made by UCPD are both correct. I've checked with a scope to verify what is going out. And I've checked with a debugger to verify what is going into the DMA.Can you think of any reason why the DMA would transfer just 0s to the peripheral? Or why the peripheral would receive 0s? Does the DMA buffer need to be volatile? Makes sense that it would need to be but following the STM example code for UCPD their DMA buffers were not volatile.. Also I shou

I am using the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q.I am using the OSPI peripheral in QSPI mode.The device I am communicating with needs a longer delay after the CS line is asserted low.I have tried setting the "ChipSelectHighTime" to 8, but I think this only affects the "number of clocks which the chip select must remain high between commands." I do not believe this controls the timing of a delay after the CS is asserted. I also looked into the "Delay Block"; however, this looks like it controls delays for reads only if I understand it correctly.

Hey, I have a STM32H743IIT Board with an QSPI W25Q128J Flash, i use LTDC and LVGL.I want to store my pictures in the Flash Memory, but i have some Problems with the External Loader or the Mapping, or something.The Flash workes fine, when i Write a buffer and Read a Buffer from the Program itself.I'am a little confused, in the reference guide from the STM32H743IIT, is the Bank 1 located at 0x60000000, but in some examples, are the address 0x90000000 used.I tried with the CubeProgrammer and the Loader "M29W128GL_STM32H743I-EVAL", here is the Pagesize 0x10, and Startaddress 0x60000000, with these can i erase the complete external memory without errors, but the Pagesize of the W25Q128J is 0x100 (256) ....Download from STMCubeIDE don't work, i get the Error:[224.387] spawnCubeProgrammer(): 19:46:26:421 w ap 0 @0x24033710 : 0x0002D690 bytes, Data 0xFFFFFFFF... Hello!Using TIM1 for pwm input capture.Works OK for trigger prescaler 1 (default).Want to use prescaler 4, but it doesn't work. Hy,  i am new here and need help. Is there an exemple of a cube ide project with all the important files like .ioc ect.?I have problems with the onboard display.I use the sdram bank2 as framebuffer (startaddress 0xd0000000). I can see (mem window) that the framebuffer has valid color data but the display dont do anything! The display is always white....... Thx for all your feedback

Hi there,I'm currently trying to get SPI Communication with the LTC1403 up and running, however I'm struggling with the timing of the Conv Signal.It seems like I need the rising edge of SCK at the same time as the Conv Signal is high. How can I achieve this? Some Pseudo Code would already help me a lot.The Conv signal is currently connected to the hardware NSS Signal, maybe connecting it to a timer output would have been smarter?

My linked-list object's base address in memory is 0x200bffbc.   How can I save this address in GPDMA_CxLBAR register (that holds "the linked-list base address of the memory region, for a given channel x, from which the LLIs describing the programmed sequence of the GPDMA transfers, are conditionally and automatically updated")  when GPDMA_CxLBAR designated region for the address (LBA[31:16]) is only 16 bits long? Anyone can help please? 

Hello everyone. Question about synchronous launch of three timers.Given:- CPU F0 or F4 or G4 (of course F103 is possible - I just don't like it, personal dislike);- three timers, each with its own operating frequency, Timers work via DMA, each with its own buffer for PWM generation;Task:- simultaneous launch of all three timers;Limits:- interrupts are prohibited, no interrupts;With the same frequency - there are no problems, they start at the same time, but with different frequencies, everything diverges. Tell me if there is a solution.

Hi!I have a doubt as to when to choose FMC and when XSPI in regards to working with screen GUI with stm32h7s7. In few youtube tutorials, they are using FMC to load data to the screen but in the development board ".ioc" for the same the XPI1 and XPI2 have been configured and not FMC. What should be the basis for the selection as to what I should go with. I also have stm32h753 based board where there is no XSPI peripherals so does it really affect my firmware development if I choose to with stm32h753 as being LQFP it is easier hardware integration wise compared to the UFGBA pinout of S7.Additional Info:1) NOR flash memory - MX66LM1G45GXDI00-T2) PSRAM - APS256XXN-OBR-BG3) LCD interface - RGBThank You

Hi,I would like to implement a Modbus TCP server based on the library cubeMX and LWIP with the ability of multiple client connections.With only one client, it works perfectly well. With 2 clients, they can connect simultaneously but as soon as both send simultaneously a request, one of the 2 requests is discarded and it blocks the client.I checked the LWIP statistics but everything seems ok.I have to mention that I do not use a RTOS.Browsing the net, I didn’t find any example of multiple connection without RTOS, does anyone already succeed implementing such behavior?Many thanks in advance for your help

Hello everyone,I am kind of new to STM chips, i have a problem regarding programming the chip. I don't use any board, only chip on the SMD to DIP board. But when i want to program it using st-link, STM32cube can identify the programmer but not the chip, very few time it did find it but not most of the times. But if i start it with bootloader (Boot=1) everything is find and i can program it. Is this the only way or am i doing something wrong? Thd Chip is:STM32F103C

Hello, I am designing a card that will use an STM32G474QET6TR and I want to program it using USART. The card will use a USB to USART converter (FTDI4232HL).  The Rx and Tx of the FTDI are connected to pin PA2 and PA3 respectively, as I found in AN2606. My first question is how can I tell my MCU that it is supposed to use bootloader mode ? and Which pattern would be better to use ? Also, regarding the pattern, how do I tell the MCU that nBoot1(bit) is supposed to be a 1 or a 0 ? 

Hi there,I'm designing a custom PCB using the STM32N657Z0 MCU. The design is extremely space-constrained, so I try to leave out everything I can. Since this deviates quite a bit from the reference design (well, the N6 Discovery kit, that is) I'd love to get some clarifications from someone from ST experienced with the N6 hardware side of things:1. I'm not using USB at all. What should I do with the USB power pins VDD33USB and VDDA18USB, can I just connect them to ground? Or leave unconnected? Are the tuning resistors OTG1_TXRTUNE and OTG2_TXRTUNE necessary when I don't use USB, or can I just leave these pins unconnected? I assume all other USB pins (data etc) can just be left floating.2. I do not use any external crystals or oscillators, can I just leave the OSC_OUT, OSC_IN, OSC32_OUT and OSC32_IN pins unconnected?3. Hi everyone,I tried to manage the USAR LIN break detection interrupt using only HAL driver functions but I did not find a way to do that. hi guys, I'm a desktop programmer and do not know much about micro controllers and electronics but i am very interested in making an oscilloscope  which:- simple to build with well known parts and ICs- it uses bluepill as the ADC and no other ADCs- it be able to measure negative voltages- It uses near maximum  ADC sample rate possible from bluepill  Single channel would be enough for above spects. recently I was working with a cool project named rp2daq which convert RPI Pico to a 500KSps /12Bit resolution and uses USB to send data to PC.I did try to make a proof of concept version of a oscilloscope on top of it and it did worked (kind of) available from here.I was using this simpl

Hello all,for my DIY Radio Controller (LoRa and STM32F1C8) i am using two joysticks and one poti.I am reading ADC with the DMA but what i noticed is that the ADC values are not so accurate.I know with not (professional, expensive) Potis and joysticks this accurate is almost impossible.With 12 bit resolution the ADC value is (0 - 4095) but the problem is that sometimes the tolerance gets more then 20 or 30 and this value is not ignorable for RC.P.s. the wires from Joysticks and poti are about 10cm long.My question :Is there any idea or way to get more accurate readings from ADC? some filtering or anything else.Would be using switching regulator as Vcc problematic? Please if you have some tipps or ideas it will be appreciated.Thank you in advance.

I can't erase the flash in the STM32L552CCT6 with the code below. I wonder if my code is wrong. When I check the memory, the 2kB from the flash address 0x803F800 is not 0xFF. Hi,We have a 1MEG resistive divider which we hope to provide the reference to the comparator internal to the STM32L073.Though we need to know the input bias current of the comparators inside this micro in order that we can calculate the volt drop by the bias current across the divider resistors.Please advise if you can?

I'm just getting started with my STM32WB15CC nucleo board, and my first goal was to put in shutdown mode to check the current draw, which I expected to be around 1 uA. I'm measuring the current on the JP3 header with a joulescope which should represent the actual current used by the MCU itself.I'm using the PWR_LPSLEEP example in the CubeMX IDE, and exchanged the "entersleepmode" call to the "enter shutdown mode", see below: /* Enter Sleep Mode, wake up is done once User push-button (SW1) is pressed *///HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI);HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode(); After the shutdown call, the joulescope shows a current draw of 42 uA, which seems very high for shutdown mode.Am I missing something? Is it necessary to enable interrupts in I2C_CR1 if I only want to look at the flags but don't want to go into the interrupt service routine? For instance, I want to be able to look at the status of RXNE and see if it is set, but I don't actually want go into an interrupt routine. Can I just leave RXIE (the bit that enables the interrupt) as 0?I am keeping RXIE as 0 for now, and I am still seeing RXNE get set when Rx data comes in. Is this normal?
