STM32 MCUs TouchGFX and GUI

Hi,STM32CubeIDE- 1.13.2TouchGFX -  4.24.0STM32F423ZHT6 evaluation board has lack of LTDC and DMA2D compare to other STM32F4 series. I want to turn on the LCD panel (NHD-2.8-240320AF-CSXP-FCTP-ND) and it display the white background. Can any one please guide me? How to do it.

Hello, we are using Riverdi displays but this may be a generic problem. We are using RVT70HSSNWN00 and RVT101HVSNWN00 and there is an intermittent problem.We used project generated from the TouchGFX example to develop a graphical application. Sometimes after the display is started, there are artifacts (picture tearing) shown when the display is redrawing. Only thing that fixes this is device reset. It occurs approximately every 40-50th device startup. I am attaching a video showing the problem and how it should look correctly. In the video, I am controlling the display from a joystick, first the top right button is pressed and then the screen is changed (the exact steps are irrelevant, every redraw causes picture tearing).I also attach .ioc file used for the project.I have seen this document and from that it seems that this may be from Cortex-M7 speculative accesses, so I tried to set MPU regions accordingly but with no help. Hi,  much trepidation here as I'm new to STM32 and new to this forum too.  Looking through the entire inventory of STM microcontroller products, one could be forgiven for becoming a little confused over the 'right choice' or combination of hardware and software packages for a particular project.  I am a little confused!Here is where I am with my efforts so far. I am - as part of my project development - trying to configure a GFX01M2 X-Nucleo diplay expansion board to run on an STM32F303RE Nucleo board.  Following various tutorials online, I am reasonably sure that I have produced a working hardware configuration via CubeMX v6.8.0 (I'm using this version presumably to keep compatability with X-CUBE-DISPLAY v3.0.0 Middleware). Hello everyone, I am using STM32H7S78-DK with TouchGFX HVAC-IoT Demo and I am encountering some problem while I am trying to debug application project. I can flash my code but I can't debug it.Can anyone tell me which is the problem?I am using TouchGFX version 4.24.0, STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 with ST-LINK GDB Server.I didn't make changes to the default code, so I only open TouchGFX demo example and flash it to my board.

Hello, I and using Touchgfx in my project. I want to implement below.1) During run time , I want to to turn off complete screen.2) During run time , I want to change complete screen.3) I want to generate QR code dynamically and also want to clear it sometimes during run time. I got github link and added those files in my project. Still I am not sure how to call it. You have mentioned to call qrCode.setXY(0,0) , qrCode.setQRCode(&code), qrCode.setScale(4) , add(qrCode) methods but I am unable to find it.Can any one please help ?

Hello,I am using touchGFX4.16 designer, in windows 10.I want to display dynamic QR code generated from URL. I've tried to look for solutions like1) Generating QR code from external library & then displaying it on display.2)QR code widget is there in touchgfx4.24.Is it possible to migrate touchGFX4.16 project to touchGFX4.24. to achieve the above.Can any one please help?

I have a CubeIDE project for a H743IITx board and an LCD and I added Touchgfx. The Touchgfx 4.24 contains the typical demo that switches between two screens. It runs fine in the simulator. I refreshed the project and it added all the necessary folders/files. Touchgfx is installed on the PC and the package was added inside the CubeIDE manager.As you can see in the screenshot, there are a lot of red underlined files when I attempt to build the project. There are about 240 errors.Usually, when so much code is underlined, it's a matter of missing libraries due to some kind of incomplete setup. However, I don't know what is wrong. I followed the documentation setup as well as different videos on youtube and actually the initial setup is not that complex.Any ideas what could be missing? 

There was a post about this before, but the issue appeared to be happening for that individual only in a custom container, for me it has appeared on multiple screens.In the example below, I've typed "1. Toggle Pump On/Off' and the text appears in the designer as "Toggle Pump On/Off .1", moving the 1. to the end and changing it's order. I'm running TouchGFX Designer 4.24.0This is static text, no wild cards. There is only a single specified language (English).Whether the Text ID is auto-generated or not has no impact.If you inspect the text.xml file generated to hold the text, it appears as entered, not as rendered.If I build this in Visual Studio targeting the simulator the text is re-arranged as it appears when rendered in the designer.See the screen cap below.I have observed several circumstances under which this happens/does not happen:Removing the "." after the 1 has no effect. i'm using touchgfx h750DK to send a frame to an f446re st board then receive data from the board to the touchgfx the data sent are good but the data received are disordered although i have the same configuration in both sides

Images are stored in their raw format which is bit large in size, so is it possible to store the images in JPEG format itself, so that it consuems very less format compared to storing in raw format. I have 4-5 different GIFs to be played, and the image size of those imaqes will be way too much if it is stored in its raw format. Is there also any possible way where I can store the images in some compressed form?Note: I am using STm32U5A9NJ controller which has a Hardware accelerated JPEG codec in it. 

Hello,I am using the touchgfx designer generated project as template to develop my project.  The DK I am using is the STM32U5G9J-DK1. I tried to bring up the Segger RTT viewer feature.  The RTT works well before the ToughGFX initialization.  If I comment out the ToughGFX initiation functions and its tasks [ MX_TouchGFX_Init() & MX_TouchGFX_PreOSInit() ], the RTT print can work in the FreeRTOS tasks.  But once I leave the TouchGFX initialization as it is, the RTT stops working after it. It seems the RTT and touchgfx have some conflict, but I cannot figure out the root cause. Thank you very much,Thanks,  

Im interested to know what the actve areas of a flex button is ?for example is the active area just limited to the text or icon within the flex button or is it active with the complete rectangluar frame of the button ?We are noticing a number of failed touch clicks. i can see within our debug tool that the touch has ben registered, but the click action has not been done.also how does TouchGFX handel buttons that are really close or even overlapping.Does transparecys effect the buttons sensativity ?we are using touchGFX 4.20 and unfortunalty we are unable to upgrade this as its within a production product.

I need to externally generate image for my project. as touchGFX documentation mentioned that I can do that using imageconvert.out. when I followed the instructions of how I should use the engine (https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/working-with-touchgfx/using-ides-with-touchgfx.). it didn't work as it supposed to be. any ideas of how I should use it properly?  

We are starting a new project which requires TouchGFX. However our project will be leveraging a significant portion of our existing code. Thus I have some questions relating to how TouchGFX uses the hardware CRC.Can you confirm whether TouchGFX requires the hardware CRC?Assuming the answer to the question above is Yes, see my followup questions.Can TouchGFX and the STM Crytpolibrary work concurrently, without me having to load/restore the hardware CRC registers.Can you explain when TouchGFX expect the CRC module so we can correctly provide concurrent behavior to all parts of our software?We currently use the hardware CRC + Crytpolibrary concurrently in our software. We accomplish good behavior by load and restore the CRC registers before/after the Crytpolibrary uses it. 

On a STM32U5G9J-DK2 kit, once a project, created within TouchGFX, is imported to CubeIDE bitmap images are lost when placed in the external flash memory.TouchGFX version is 4.23.0, CubeIDE is 1.14.1 and everything is installed on a Windows 10 machine.Right after the project is created under TouchGFX, it loads correctly to the kit and all images are there.As soon as it is imported to CubeIDE, regenerated and compiled, it loads to the  kit, everything works perfectly... except bitmap images loaded to the external flash (shapes and other graphics loads perfectly though). Images do not show up, and instead there are parts of the previous display at the place of the bitmap. If bitmaps are set to be stored on internal flash in TouchGFX and the project recompiled under CubeIDE, then all images come again on screen.I thus double (actually much more than double) checked everything I could suspect: external flash loader, flash.ld files... but did not see any differences between the files ge

Hi all,as I'm stil new to STM and TouchGFX I'm facing the following problem.The GUI was developed using a EVK070016 Kit. This board uses a dispay resolution of 1024 px and a MCU STM32H750. For evaluation it works fine. Now I was told that real I(productivity) project uses a STM32H743XiH6 MCU an a display resolution of 1024 px 8like the EVK board).What I tried: In TouchGFX designer I selected my project using the EVK070016 Kit to get a screen resolution of 1024 px. By using this board automatically the MCU STM32H750 is selected. At this time I have no idea how to switch the MCU to STM32H743 by keeping the screen resolutoíon of 1024 px.If I start a project by selecting the STM32H743 I only have a screen resolution of 480 px and I am not able to change the screen resolution to 1024.I hope, somebody can help.Thanks

In TouchGFX version 4.18.0, after modifying the Designer output for the screen and compiling with STM32CubeIDE, the screen crashes and restarts due to having too many screen elements (buttons, text, images). It’s suspected that this is caused by insufficient framebuffer memory, and it has been confirmed that it is not a logical issue in the program. By deleting some screen elements, the display works normally. How can I modify the framebuffer memory size?

Hello, I am trying to work with touchGFX with an SPI screen. I can properly send an image to the screen manually, so I am confident that my screen driver is working fine.I have set a timer for the Vsync that call the touchgfx::OSWrappers::signalVSync(); function. In the main loop I call the  MX_TouchGFX_Process(); and in debug it seems that the TouchGFXHAL::flushFrameBuffer function is never called so I can never send the framebuffer to the screen.I am a bit stuck in my understanding. Is there anything special that I am required to do? I followed the information in the official website (https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/scenarios/scenarios-fmc) and I have searched online for solution without more success.Thank you by advance,Regards,Augustin
