i have been working on secure boot of stm32mp131c with spi-nand flash. I want to secure my filesystems as well appfs and rootfs. Is there possible ways to do so?

Hello,I Installed STM32CubeMX v6.17.0 with STM32MP2 Software Pack 1.3.0.I see that code generated for CA35 differs from the one generated by the previous version of STM32CubeMX v6.16.1. By the diff below I see that 6.17.0 expects Yocto tree version openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v26.02.18:- model = "STMicroelectronics STM32MP257F-DK STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v25.06.11"; + model = "STMicroelectronics STM32MP257F-DK STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v26.02.18"; These are not the only differences between CubeMX versions, there are more in the .dts/dtsi definitions.In the Project Manager window I see that the OpenSTLinux Manifest version is set to openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v26.02.18.However I'm not planning to switch to Yocto openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v26.02.18 just now.Is it possible to use CubeMX v6.17.0 with the older Yocto  tree version openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v25.06.11? Regards

I'm running a build with meta-webkit on the scarthgap branch for the STM32MP257-EV1. I'm trying to get a web browser working for a custom web page and the performance is pretty poor and I'm not quite sure why. It seems like there's a lot of people doing a similar project but not a lot of hard benchmarking so I'm partially hoping we can make this thread to provide help for people in the future and also maybe I can figure out why my build is running so slow.Here's a more minimal example that anyone should be able to test.If I run cog https://webglsamples.org/aquarium/aquarium.htmlset it to 500 fish, and then look at top. I get about 79% cpu usage for wpewebkit and the output of /sys/kernel/debug/gc/load is:The previous 100ms HW load device : 0 core : 0 load : 62.26%The screen connected via LVDS has a noticeable lag.If I set the fish count to 100 then there's no lag. I know using a web browser on the MPU is pushing it's capabilities but it would be awesome if someone could confirm

Hi, I am currently working on a project that requires us to install a browser on our board. We are using an STM32mp25, which is using the Mickledore image. I am finding that the meta-browser layer is not compatible with Mickledore, and if I'm not mistaken meta-browser only runs on Scarthgap. What I've tried to do is switch my layers to the Scarthgap branch, and unfortunately what I find is that from my conf/local.conf is that the stm32mp25 is not a recognized maching (MACHINE = "stm32pm25"), meaning that the stm32mp25 is not supported on Scarthgap. Has anyone successfully installed a browser on the stm32mp25 (eval board)? Hello,I'm using the latest STM32CubeMX 6.16.1 (Linux version), and working on a project cloned from the one provided for STM32MP257F-DK.In the Project Manager -> Advanced Settings, there is the "Generated Function Calls" table.If I set checkboxes here, e.g. in the "Do Not Generate Function Calls" column, the generated code reflects the new settings. However, when I reload the project (via "close/open" or just restarting CubeMX), all checkboxes are in their default positions (disabled for all functions in "Do Not Generate Function Calls").The same thing is with the first "Generate Code" column, and re-ordering the calls doesn't save as well.Is there a workaround?A question to STMicro engineers: enabling OpenAMP middleware for STM32MP2 boards fails to build in CubeIDE. Hi, I am working with the STM32MP25 and trying to use the I2C peripheral from the Cortex-M33 coprocessor.The STM32MP25 includes an Arm Cortex-A35 core running Linux and a Cortex-M33 core for real-time applications. I am able to successfully load and run a basic firmware on the Cortex-M33 using remoteproc. However, when I enable and initialize the I2C peripheral in the M33 firmware, the system hangs and eventually restarts. After investigating, I learned that the RIFSC configuration must be updated to grant the Cortex-M33 access to the I2C peripheral. I applied a patch to modify the RIFSC settings accordingly, but the issue persists and the peripheral is still not accessible from the M33.I would like to know:Are there any additional steps required (beyond RIFSC configuration) to allow Cortex-M33 access to I2C?Is there official documentation or reference material explaining how to properly assign peripherals to the coprocessor using RIFSC?Are there any examples or recommended workflows f

Hello everyone.I'm working on a bare metal project for STM32MP135D using FreeRTOS (V10.6.2) and LwIP (V2.1.0).I write a custom TCP server that work together with a custom UDP client. Hi,In STM32MP25x Reference manual(RM0457), the HSEM_(S)Cnxxx registers all have the description of global access attribute except HSEM_CnIER, as shown of HSEM_CnICR,22.5.4 HSEM non-secure interrupt clear register (HSEM_CnICR)Address offset: 0x104 + 0x010 * (n - 1), (n = 1 to 3)Reset value: 0x0000 0000Register global access: When CID filtering for processor[n] is enabled inHSEM_CnCIDCFGR, this register can be accessed only by the processor CID. An illegalCID access to this register generates a CID illegal access event. Following the tutorial here, at step 8, I get to the part where you load firmware onto the dev kit, but I always get an error "No ST-Link detected".  As far as I am aware, programming should be done over the USB cable, or UART, not ST-Link?The board is running Linux OK, UART terminal is working, so is IP over USB cable.  The run configuration I have is show below.  What am I doing wrong?I checked with STM32CubeProgrammer and there are no programming interfaces available over USB or UART, and no ST-Link..

Hello ST team.I am working on the boot chain from qspi NAND flash memory. The board is based on the STM32MP135F SOC and the w25n01gvzeig winbond 128MB IC. The IC is sitting on qspi bank 1 on the default BOOTROM pins (AN5474 p49).I have already succeeded the bootchain for EMMC and USB uboot successfully locates and flashes the nand with the partitions I have specified. But as set the boot pins to 111 I get 0 logs from the serial.By reading in the forum I suspect that the OTP should be programmed with the NAND layout configuration but I would like to be sure. I'm planning to use ImGui as framework for creating a GUI application on the MP257 processor.The ImGui is bloat-free e.g it only uses the GPU hardware (OpenGL, Vulkan, etc...) to visulize the graphics such as buttons, menu, labels etc.Will an application like this work smoothly in MP257?

I am working on a custom board with STM32MP133A cpu and Kingston EMMC08G-ML36 EMMC. The board boots fine from the EMMC, however if the board resets due to kernel panic and/or watchdog timeout it fails to boot from EMMC and enters DFU mode (where it hangs indefinitely). It looks like that after unexpected reset EMMC stays in 8-bit bus width and boot-rom fails to load the TF-A. The current workaround is to set bus-width to 1 in both u-boot and linux device trees. Is this boot-rom behavior described somewhere?Is there any way to reliably reset bus-width from 8 to 1 in case of unexpected STM32MP133A reset? Or to get out of DFU mode after some timeout, although in this case bus-width still has to be reset to 1 somehow? 

Hello,I’m working with an STM32MP255 and want to access GPIOs from the Cortex-M33 coprocessor (not from the A-core/Linux side). I’m trying to understand the correct workflow and configuration steps so M33 firmware can drive/read GPIO pins. Specifically:1. Are there any reference examples or official documentation showing how to assign GPIO pins to the Cortex-M33 coprocessor (M33 execution context) using device tree and RIFSC configuration on STM32MP255 / STM32MP2 devices?2. Is there a step-by-step for RIFSC/firewall, resource assignment, or device tree overlays that shows how to move ownership of a GPIO from the Linux/A-core domain to the M33?3. I’m using STM32CubeIDE to build the M33 firmware. Under SystemCore → GPIO there is no checkbox to select the Cortex-M33 execution context for a GPIO. Is that expected? If so, how should I configure ownership (is it a device tree  / RIFSC setting rather than a CubeIDE option)?

Hello!Please tell me how to create a basic C/C++ BareMetal project in CubeIDE for the A35 core of the STM32MP257F-DK board?When I create a project for STM32MP1 I have a choice to create a "BareMetal" project or a Linux project.Unfortunately, when I create a project for STM32MP257F-DK, I did not find such an opportunity for the A35 core. Only a Linux project.Considering that I need LVDS on the board, I cannot switch to the STM32MP1 series and the Linux boot time does not suit the customer.My CubeIDE Version: 1.18.0Build: 24413_20250227_1633 (UTC)

I'm attempting to modify STM32DDRFW-UTIL to test my DDR on a custom board, but when I try to connect via putty I get a continuous loop of error codes "Unknown command" without ever typing anything into the console. I noticed that the console header seems to be appearing on the input line (see attached photo). I can't figure out if this issue is caused by an incorrect DDR setup on my side or something more on the hardware side (i.e. something I don't know). Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi, I have made a custom board with stm32mp135fand I tried to boot using yocto for stm32mp135f-dk and got an error in the tf-a part(fsbl) because i do not have a pmic in my board,every change that i am doing for the dts file i get an error when i "bitbake tf-a-stm32mp",each time is a different error.Can someone help me with how to change the dts file for it to work?

Custom MP157AAA3 board.  SD card formatted with ECO 5.0.0 using the SD tools using the files from the starter package. (including rootfs etc..) .  Build the TF-A, OP-TEE (in SYSRAM), U-boot and kernel from the ECO 5.0.0 sources.Kernel generates the messages as below and then feezes. The DT's were generated using CubeMX and customized for the board. It looks like drivers are all waiting on resources to become available, perhaps one single one they all need.
