[Abandoned] Information Center tab not displaying documentation

Hi,

I recently downloaded and installed en.st-stm32cubeide_1.17.0_23558_20241125_2245_amd64.sh.zip onto Debian Bookworm (fully updated). This proceeded without any errors or warnings.

On starting the IDE, a blank (i.e. black window) was presented, within the Information Center tab, that did not list any documentation. When I used a previous version of the IDE, this tab then showed links to various documents. Has this functionality been left out of the current version of the IDE ?

What do I now have to do in order to get the Information Center tab in the IDE to now show the links to the documentation ?

Hi,

My solution was just to download and install the next version of the
IDE. This worked correctly immediately after the install and is
still(!) working correctly.

I hope this helps.

Hi AScha.3,

Thank you for such a swift reply. This afternoon, when I sent in my posting, I was using my local library's internet connection. (The library closed at 5:00 p.m. GMT). Now that I have returned home, I am using my home internet connection. In both cases, when I start the IDE (which I have just done now), the IDE opens with a black Information Center tab. Please see first attached screenshot. The second attached screenshot shows System Settings and that my internet connection is working.

Hi Alhaqglass,

Thank you for your response. I copied and pasted the link that you helpfully supplied into the "Work with" field. The system did not "like" it and responded as shown in the attached screenshot.

Where do I go from here ?

Hi,

I have the same problem with Version: 1.19.0. I tried to reinstall, but still the same problem.

Hi,

I did install the latest version of the IDE at first place, but the problem occured. I deinstalled and install again 3 times before it properly works. I observed that at first start, I changed the default workspace for another one into OneDrive. After the last installation, at first start, I left the default workspace as suggested by ST, then it properly works. I can't say if this was the solution or by chance.
