Why is it that after turning off the computer after downloading and using it, and turning it on again, the cube won't open again?

Did you shut everything down cleanly?

STM32CubeIDE should certainly work after a computer has been properly shut down & restarted.

How do you try to open it.

Do you get error messages? Anything
