STM32CubeIDE and Segger j-link connection issue

Mr./Ms. Forum,

I have the following system components:

  • STM32CubeIDE Version 1.11.0
  • Segger j-link PLUS Compact debug probe Version 11.0
  • target hardware - custom pcb with an STM32U585CIT6 microcontroller

I can't load code into my target hardware. I have included a bunch of helpful screenshots and a capture of the messaging (Segger_JTAG.txt) between the Segger and target hardware JTAG port. The log says 'Could not connect to target', but I could  see duplex traffic between the Segger and target. Google and forum searches have been useless.

Can anyone out there explain the problem and provide a solution?

Where can I find the Segger j-link message protocol?

This issue is to be closed. Segger debug connection is fully functional.

The problem turned out to be a hardware fault in our custom board. The reset line on the STM micro was being grounded.
