STM32CubeIDE failed to import examples on Linux

Hi,

I'm using STM32CubeIDE on latest Ubuntu:

STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.14.1, Build: 20064_20240111_1413 (UTC).

If I try to click "Import STM32Cube example", it shows next window with "target selection" which always fails (can only cancel, no selection possible, see below). Just in case, CubeMX works fine.

Could anyone from ST comment if I miss something or it is a bug on Linux platform?

Hello @Lex ,

Further to our discussion, I was able to import STM32CUBE example on Ubuntu 23.10, 64 bit.

I just normally install STM32CubeIDE.

Maybe the issue is related to your environment that's why I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

I suggest also that you provide the log.file.

You are able also to accede to the example through:

File ; New ; STM32 Project ; Set the Network Connection ; Example Selector.

Thanks.

Mahmoud.

Some clarification:

- .deb installer is missing dependencies on default Ubuntu installation. thus can't be used without hacks.

- It is possible to install STM32Cube IDE by using a generic Linux installer.

sudo sh ./st-stm32cubeide_1.14.0_19471_20231121_1200_amd64.sh

However importing examples does not work (verified once more by uninstalling and reinstalling again the latest version)
