window background color messed up in 1.18.0 under macOS dark theme

I upgraded STM32CubeIDE under macOS 11.7.10 (cannot run any higher version since my hardware is MacbookPro mid 2014).

My windows all had dark background und STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0. Now my windows (main.c, all source files) have a yellowish white background. How can I revert to the dark background?

EDIT: I was able to find the location in preferences. (right click  in the editor window of e.g. main.c) In the bottom of the popup menu ->preferences->Editors->Text Editors:

 

The screen shot already shows the corrected color.
