Hi @SBint.1 ,

I will try to help you on this issue ;) .

First let me clarify the situation, before that you was able to open your file with STM32CubeProgrammer and now that the issue is appeared a reinstall of STM32CubeProgrammer did not resolve the situation ?

  • Do you think the issue can be related to your file ? (may be the file is corrupted or damaged)
  • What's type of file do you want to open ? (.hex, .bin etc)

Thank you for your answers.

Best Regards,

A.MVE

True.

Before this problem happened, normally, after click the 'open file', the file explorer will appear, then suddenly, the file explorer does not appear that makes me unable to download the .hex file. I am not sure if this issue is related to the file or not.

Hi @SBint.1 ,

I do not think that the issue is related to STM32CubeProgrammer either otherwise a reinstall or an upgrade of the application should solve your issue.

As the file explorer windows does not even appear after click on 'open file', I do no think that the issue is coming from the file. Maybe something on your computer block the right execution of STM32CubeProgrammer. Have you try to restart your computer ? Or any change you made on your computer (new software install, Anti Virus issue) ?

Any details on file naming?

Is file on a networked drive or virtual directory?

Anti Virus blocking?
