Cube programmer api or one of its dependencies missing, java error. cube IDE version 2.6.0

i am getting the same error with cube programmer version 2.5.0

i am using windows 7 32 bit.

Java JRE build 1.8.0_271-b09

i have tried all the solutions given in previous posts but couldnt get past this.

the user manual of cube programmer 2.6.0 says :

"There is no need to install any Java™ SE Run Time Environment since version 2.6.0. The

STM32CubeProgrammer runs with a bundled JRE available inside the downloaded

package and no longer with the one installed on your machine."

As your windows is 32 bit ,can you please verify that STM32CubeProgrammer 2.6.0 downloaded installed is 32bit version also?

yes i believe i have the 32 bit version.

i have the zip file

en.stm32cubeprg-win32_v2-6-0.zip

and setup file name is mentioned as

SetupSTM32CubeProgrammer_win32.exe
