No ST-LINK detected in STM32CubeProgrammer

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with getting my (genuine) ST-LINK v2 detected in the STM32CubeProgrammer.

The strange thing is, the STM32CubeIDE and also the firmware update utility detect the ST-LINK v2 without any issues. Already tried different USB ports. No success so far.

What's the problem and how to solve this issue?

The following versions are installed:

  • STM32CubeProgrammer v2.6.0
  • STM32CubeIDE v1.5.1
  • ST-LINK v2 Firmware V2J37S7
  • Windows 10 (20H2 - Build 19042.804)
  • ST-LINK Device Driver v.2.1.0.0 by STMicroelectronics

Thanks

Make sure the ST-LINK resource isn't held by another application

I closed all applications except the STM32CubeProgrammer. Unfortunately still not detected.

I think it is related to a Windows update. I have reinstalled an older Win10 on a test hard drive and it works with that installation. The only difference is the used WinUSB.sys driver version. With version 10.0.10240.16384 everything works fine on the old installation. Looks like STM32CubeProgrammer is not compatible with the latest Windows 10 version?
