Problem with dfu and stm32F072B-discovery board: cubeProgrammer detects dfu device but will not connect.

Hi. I am trying to program my stm32F072RB using the build in boot loader.

I connect the user USB to my PC with BOOT0 pulled high and sure enough it does detect a dfu device. (the serial number looks fishy though?)

Now if i try and connect it prompts me to disable read protection. which it does sucessfully. but then it disconnects immediately afterwards and if i try again. it will just do the same.

I think it is a driver issue but i have allready tried to change the driver using the zadig method described in other threads. with no luck.

I have hit a dead end here. hope someone can help me figure out this mess.

Issue is solved in next STM32CubeProgrammer version 2.5.0 available on ST Website next week.
