STM32VLDISCOVERY (DEVICE_NOT_SUPPORTED)

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and CLI version of STM32CubeProgrammer 2.5.0.

My board is STM32VLDISCOVERY with STM32F100RBT6 MCU. When I do list devices or connect, I get DEVICE_NOT_SUPPORTED. Attaching log.

Thanks,

Mitul

It is a really old design, that really isn't supported any longer..

Thanks for your response. Are the later boards of same MCU supported ? Or is the MCU not supported ? Can I get an external STLINK programmer and program the device ? I can see that SMT32VLDISCOVERY is still in active status here https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32vldiscovery.html. If I buy one, how shall I program it from my Linux environment.

Thanks,

Mitul

The ST-LINK/V1 design/implementation is the issue.

Use the drivers that worked for this board a decade ago..

They probably have a warehouse full that the accountants don't want to landfill. They should probably talk to the product managers that make the software support decisions.
