Hello team,I am using the GUI demo (single) for BMSCCTX and C4MINI with 4 LFP Batteries. I have followed the steps described by @ritehracingteam in this thread.After I run the program from the AutoDevKit Studio, my D9 and D2 LED are lit up and D8(Blue) is blinking. D7 remains turned off. Which according to the documentation means SPI is not working.I made sure Hotplug connection is made and the pin configuration is correct, also checked all the connections.Is there something I might be missing?Regards,Zen

For everyone who is thinking about starting a project on an SPC5x MCU: don’t. Just don’t. On paper, it looks great. Beautiful marketing slides. Pin mapping, clock tree, HW initialization… a cheap multicore debugger… everything you could ever want. Amazing.  You want to set the clock? Cute. Unfortunately, for your E-family MCU, there is no clock tree. Because… reasons. Oh, you want to set up GTM? No problem! There’s a default configuration, just pick what you need. Just don’t pick ATOM3. Or ATOM4. Or anything beyond ATOM2, really. It won’t work. No warning, no error, no hint. It just silently does nothing. What about ST support? Haha. Good one. You already designed your PCB using ATOM3? Congratulations. You can now spend a few months trying to make it work before finally hot-wiring your board like it’s a Soviet-era radio, just to avoid ATOM3. Along the way, enjoy the complete lack of driver documentation. Good job! After enough pain, your basic application is now somehow running. T

Hello, recently, in attempt to create custom software for SPC56EL70 programming, I have encountered a problem to successfully launch RAM located program inside of the MCU. Discovery board is used for the test.Programming operations are commit via JTAG, and communication layer is already built and shows no faults. Full read of flash memory of the processor was successfully done. Since I haven't worked with any of SPC MCUs before, my JTAG set of instructions are based on MPC5xxx line, so you can assume that main issues might be in key differences between these methods.Firstly, in SPC5 Studio IDE, program for test is created, for example "led blink". For program .ld file is corrected for all segments to be located in RAM(No entry adjustments, ORIGIN is adjusted to ram).MCU is started, MMU, SRAM, are initialized. Bin file is then loaded to RAM(it is then checked for presence), and after that CPUSCR instruction is passed with PC having 0x40000000 - 0x04(NOP as IR) address where program

Hi Team,We are not able to generate the Centre Aligned PWM for the SPC58NN board which has GTM Module.We are using ATOM Channel 1, where we have set the mode to SOMP and Umode as Up and Down till CN0 reaches 0.Can anyone give us the baremetal code which generates the centre aligned PWM.Thanks in advance.

Hello, does the SPC58EG80E5xxCxx variant have the checker core feature for core 0 or is the checker core unique to the ASIL-D variant such as SPC58EG80E5xxHxx? 

Hi team,I have seen example of C4MINI1 daisy chaining BMSCCTX with BMSCC which is working fine.I have 2 BMSCCTX, so i was wondering that i can connect 2 BMSCCTX for daisy chaining with C4MINI1.But i have noticed that in the datasheet of CCTX, the daisy chain receiving pins are not mounted inside,(which is mounted for BMSCC only. So does it mean i cant use 2 BMSCCTX as node and use dual access configuration?Can anyone explain about this please.Thank You.

With the MCU enable BAF and Core0 / 1 /2 reset vectors are place at 0xFC0008 / 0xFC0004 / 0xFC000C, my question is how the 3 reset vector be called during power on? just be called one by one? the reference manual doesn't give clearly description; this confused me a long time.

Hello,I am currently developing with the SPC582Bxx controller using the UDE STK Starter Kit for debugging. During runtime, the Program Counter appears to be stuck in a loop, and I am unable to identify the exact location of the hang. Could you provide guidance on how to troubleshoot this? Additionally, if a UDE STK debugging guide is available, please share it. Thank you.

Dear Team, We are currently working with the SPC582B60E1MH00Y MCU in our project development. In our application, the ESP32 reads the firmware file from the cloud and sends it to the MCU via UART. As part of our application, we need to implement a Bootloader using UART communication. However, we do not have prior experience with the Bootloader implementation on the SPC58 series MCU. The hardware design has already been completed, and the SPC58 UART is connected to the ESP32 through the LINFlex1 serial interface pins. Kindly confirm whether these UART pins can be used for the Bootloader application. We kindly request your support in developing the Bootloader application for our project. Additionally, if you could share any reference documents or sample projects (UART Bootloader code), it would greatly help us to progress further and improve our development status. Our queries:How does the Bootloader work, and how can it be handled in the SPC582B MCU?Could you please share

Hello,I am facing a connection issue with SPC5 Flash Programmer version 2.8.1 when using UART communication with SPC560B64.Setup:Target MCU: SPC560B64External crystal: 8 MHzInterface: UCUART::HybridCom/7/UARTSame hardware setup as previously used successfullySPC5 Flash Programmer v2.7.9 works correctly on an older PC, v2.8.1 (and newer) fails to connect.The software stays in “Connection phase starting” and continuously retries, the UART interface LED does not blink. No connection is established.Same SPC560B64 device, same UART interface and wiringAre there any required driver updates, configuration changes, or compatibility notes for newer versions?

In the datasheet it is given at 40MHz the max C_L is 8pF (from AN6027), but the C_L in the design schema has C1 and C2 8pF(UM3305), which gives 4pF, could you suggest me with the external crystal oscillator design. And the range is from 4MHz to 40MHz,  so if for a chosen crystal , should the minimum frequency satisfy this condition ?

Dear ，       Would you teach me how to set SPC582B DSPI 40bit data frame? I use the SPC5Studio-6.0.0-Doyle, you can see my attached picture.The biggest setting of SPI frame is 32 bits.  but the data sheet says "programmable serial frame size of 4 to 64 bits, expandable by software control"Would you teach me how to set SPI frame 40bit?  

I am using stellar studio 8.0.0.in Debug perspective, I can only find the Expression view, but cannot find the Live Expression view in "Window--show view". With Expression view, the monitored variable will be refreshed only when pause the debug session,if it has Live Expression view, I can watch the variable value without need to pause.So I want to know if stellar studio have made the Live Expression function or similar functions now?

I am trying to connect to the SPC574K-DISP board through PLS UDE Starter kit to program but am getting a "Can't determine the default communication device! Current selection is ambiguous!" Pop up error message.I followed the Part 7 - AutoDevKit™ detailed tutorial: Debug and release of firmware created with AutoDevKit™ tutorial step-by-step (though I'm using a different board, and I used the RLA IRQ Test Application). To get to this step.I am using a new SPC574K-DISP board for this, it has not been used/programmed since it came out of the box this week, so I can't verify that it's not a board issue. Though, when powered, the board runs it's Blink LED test application.Device Manager shows two instances of "SPC574K-DISP Discovery+" under "Other devices", before I install the PlsUsbJtagDrivers, and still the same after, see attached "SPC574K-DISP Investigation_Device Manager.png". If I install the UDESTK drivers from SPC5Studio's OpenOCD, then the Device changes to a COM Port cal

I have the SPC5Studio software installed. Installed everything I could find in the Help-> Install New Software. Found two help files in openocd-> docs section in the SPCStudio folder on the C drive. Only one applied, so as far as I know these are the latest drivers. UDE STK 5.2 and UDE STK 221 are both sitting on the desktop and do not do anything.Nothing I have tried has worked, any insight would be deeply appreciated.ThanksMike

Hello,In the AEK-POW-BMSCHAIN example code, I see high-level APIs like: AEK_POW_BMS63EN_GetModule() AEK_POW_BMS63EN_init()But in my AutoDevKit installation, only low-level chain APIs (AEK_POW_BMS63CHAIN_*) are available.Could you clarify:Are the high-level AEK_POW_BMS63EN APIs included in the public AutoDevKit package?If not, are they only available via partner/NDA packages?Should regular users implement high-level functionality using only the low-level APIs?Thanks!

Hi team,I am trying to run BMSCCTX using Pi as MCU. 1. I read the L9963 E and L9963 T datasheets. i found that any 8 bit message wakes up the BMS , i tried sending sample messages like 8 bit zeros and was able to turn on d2 led of bms.if the wake up is done correct, bms should return a default frame of 0x0000000016. But i am not getting it and after 1 min it goes to sleep mode. when i run a code, D2, D8 and D9 lights up, but D7 - for spi is not blinking.2. I also have one more doutb, inside the bms, the L9963 T converts 4 pin spi to 2 pin ISOp and ISOm pins which goes to L9963E as ISOLp_SDI and ISOLm_NCS.Does the output of the L9963 E comes from the same? as it is bidirectional. Or ISOHp and ISOHm are the output pins for L9963E?? 3. If I am using only one BMSCCTX, to get the replies from E should i loopback connect ISOL pins with ISOH pins?4. In AEK-MCU-C4MINI sample projects i see the pins-TXEN, DIS, BNE, ISOAm, ISOFreq are connected as GPIOswhereas i am using Pi and ha

Hi team,I was looking through the steps in the configuration of the sample project: AEK-MCU-C4MINI- AEK_POW_BMSCCTX_GUI_Application for discovery.i made my configurations of the cells as per my project and after allocating the setup, it shows the hardwar connections too.Then it shows to edit the pins in pin map editor which i didn't understand. It says to unassign the allocated pins and copy contents and paste but i didnt understand why we do this and how to do this.( From Step 31 of UM3185 manual). Can someone explain this in detail for me to understand... Thank you.

I'm looking at using the Teseo modules in a range of RC boats but would like some final confirmation of the RF front end to make sure I am not doing anything wrong.  For the LIV4F I have boiled it down to this setup, with the understanding that the 4F can drive active antennas directly (for external use), and for passive there is an onboard LNA that needs a blocking cap (for mounting on the same PCB).  Thanks for any help! For the LIV3F(L) I am looking at exclusively active antennas (given the lack of on board LNA). From the RF front end point of view does this make the 3F and 3FL pin compatible?Is this the correct setup for both onboard and offboard antennas?Only the offboard has a current limit on the assumption that helps save the RF front end when there is no antenna fitted, is that correct?Are there any recommended part numbers for the inductor/capacitor bias?Do I need a saw tooth filter on the RF input?Why are the Liv4f's seemingly always out of stock?&nb

Hello,I’m experimenting with a simple RAM loader for SPC58 loaded through BAF over CAN.The same program runs perfectly when I debug it in RAM using UDESTK, and I’ve adjusted the linker so the code starts at 0x40070000. It initializes CAN, does a few GPIO tests, etc. — all good under the debugger.However, when I upload the same image to RAM via BAF, it starts but crashes as soon as it tries to initialize the clock, and if I skip that, it later crashes on peripheral initialization (CAN, GPIO, etc.).So my question:What are the main things I’m missing for a program executed directly from BAF in RAM?Is there something specific about system/clock or peripheral state that must be skipped or re-initialized when booting this way?Any hints or example references for a working SPC5 RAM loader via BAF would be very helpful.Thanks!— Janis
